    Thank you for your time!

Ligzy, the way I did it was by using 5 pinkie pies a day to level up. (The price for them was a bit lower back then.) They give 270 trade points each, and even more if you open the runes in the tree of wisdom that increase trade points by up to 25%. Just keep an eye out for cheaply priced pinkie pies in the market, and buy them when you can. You may also ask neighbors to send them as gifts. I know you have at least one neighbor who'd be happy to send you a few;) Good luck!

Thank you very much, I will follow your strategy! And I think I know the neighbour you are talking about... ;)

Ligzy, thanks for asking this question as I've been wondering the same! If anyone knows the pinkie pie pie equivalent for Confectionery I'd be very grateful!!

The confectionery is a bit slower than the bakery. I used either eggnog or lavender jam, whichever was cheapest. Using pink jelly is probably the cheapest option, but very slow :sleepy:

Thankyou Mir..are eggnog and lavender jam the equivalent to alot of points then?

    From the FAQ:
    Pink jelly 50 points
    Eggnog 100 points
    Lavender jam 125 points

If you open some of the Marmelade Mania runes, the points increase a bit. But there are more important runes to open first :p

For comparison: Pinkie pie pie gives 270 baker points.

Ever think of Sage Macaroons for Bakery ?
125 points running about 5,000 CCs in my market.
PPPs run 270 points around 10,000 CCs.

Banjo, thanks for the reminder to look at other products. When I did the comparison a while ago, pinkie pie pie was so cheap, but now it is often over 10000CC.

The best deals I found right now in my market
    Pumpkin pastry 50 points; 1000CC; 20 CC/point
    Gingerbread 100 points; 2500CC; 25 CC/point

I refuse to buy PPP for over 90000, so it is good to have some alternatives :)

I reached level 5 a couple years ago making lots of CB and using it for the EP. And an occasional gingerbread or other gift sent to me by a very special upper level player that no longer plays. Miss him a lot. I learned a lot about this game from him.

If I were to do it today... I would make and use the following calculations...

    Combining this information...
    Pumpkin pastry 50 TP * 20CC = 1,000 CC
    Gingerbread 100 TP * 20CC = 2,000 CC
    Sage Macaroon 125 TP * 20CC = 2,500 CC
    PPP 270 TP * 20CC = 5,400 CC
That tells you what price to pay for equivalent TP/CC spent. The cheapest way would be the slowest. But gives you the most effect for coins spent. If I wanted to move faster, and spend more coins, I would use 25CC or more to figure my tipping point.

I did the same before I read about it in the forum :) One of the things I like most about this game is that it is so complex, there is always something to work on/optimize :)

Blimey, I have to agree with @-Mir85- on this, that's a very expensive way and seems a shame to use such useful items just for levelling up but if you're happy doing that Kim then fair enough. I'm not feeling quite so extravagant lol :p Thank you for sharing the tip though!

Am I correct in thinking that Pinkie pies are one of the recipes that is not regularly available? (it was either a special recipe or the product of something won earlier?)

woody - Pinkie Pie pie recipe was won in an event and is a level 5 bakery recipe. The cost of individual ingredients far exceeds its price in the market. They are great for leveling up the bakery as they give 270 trade points.

Can we put this in the perminant player created strategy area everyone is asking to be created? The whole quote... I just edited it so I would be chastisied for posting whole quotes. I'm not a baker yet but will probably be one someday and we need this info:) :)
