Birthday Event Strategies

I finished Elvus first, then worked on Bunnilyn. Level 1 and 2 were honey, reset until honey for 3 and 4. resetting wasn't working so did ostrich eggs for 5 and had to do koi for 6 and ostrich for 7. Levels 8-10 popped up with honey. 2 guests at the party.

I had been working on Swish and Willy as I went and got them up to 6. Now, I have about 3,000- 4,000 of the 2 event crops so am starting long time crops to get the batteries as I only have 4 batteries on hand right now.

edit: I also wanted to say the battery drops are not very good. With all the cloud rows going this morning (both that add to drop chance were activated) and having cotton on 2 fields, artichokes on the third with 5 cooking pot pens, and baha with trees and event nuts, I only received 109 batteries. I only have 252 batteries until I can finish.

 

Congrats! Can you please also name the animals that you had to donate?

mine was 2 Peacocks, 2 donkeys, 2 ostriches and 2 beavers as well ...level 73 at that stage

 

Mine were:
Task 1: 2 Fish (level 63)

The rest was all on level 64:
Task 2: 2 Donkeys
Task 3: 2 Donkeys
Task 4: 3 Fish
Task 5: 2 Donkeys
Task 6: 2 Peacocks

BTW, why are you asking all these numbers? Curious minds want to know

 

My battery drops have kept up with my slow crop production, so far. Only need a couple more levels to get the last set of of stables, and then I'll have the things I really want (trees and stables). I think this event has been fun. So far I've skipped the bunny, as I'd have to buy almost everything I donate to her.

 

Just to make sure I will not be in need to donate a big number of low level animals as I progress to final steps. Because I am gonna pause animal chamber and complete it last day. Make sense?

 

Which workshop products has everyone been getting to hand in? Has there been a good mix or is it the same ones popping up alot?

If only my drop rate was a little bit better (combined trophy at 21%)...

I am level 64 and my best source of EP are the event crops, so even if I have enough crops, I might need to keep on growing them! one question for you all wise and experienced farmers: if drop rate depends on crop EP, do buffs such as ZAB or EM improve it? I am sure it has been answered a lot of times, but I just could not find it anywhere!

I have seen so far (finished up to step-6)Honey, Timber, Ostrich egg, Cooking pot, Koi fish-good mix. But I hate to see Koi fish and Cooking pot, my favorites are Honey and Timber, Ostrich egg is ok-ok

Want to add: re-sets worked really good for me to avoid Koi and Cooking pot

No, buffs like ZAB, EM, SW will not improve drop rates. Sorry. Plant the highest level plants you can. If you haven't opened the LL rune, move your trophies around. Add your name to the SOS thread if you think you need more help.

 

If anyone could send me batteries or timers I'd be really grateful! Can I ask how we can send things to people we're not neighbours with and I can only send five gifts a day so how do people send extra?

I am running my workshops (a few higher-level animals, like donkeys) and event crops, with speedups, and getting plenty of batteries that way.

 

Elvus has made it to the party!

Copy the farmer name, go to the post office, compose a message and paste the farmer name in the TO box. Send the message. Go to your Outbox, click on the checkmark to the left of the message. Click on the box in the lower right to add the farmer to your friends list.
Once you do that, you can scroll down your list when giving gifts to find them.

 

Update: just need to finish serving Miss Bunnilyn. She's just annoying me with her requests for Ostrich eggs.

Why or why can't she just ask me for honey???? I have plenty to give her. Maybe in 2 hours she will be my friend again....

I have been getting wood & ostrich eggs mostly, but I also got Koi and honey, after a few resets.

For animals, I have gotten donkeys, beaver, ostrich, peacock.

It seems as though the algorithm emphasizes whatever items are high on your list.. the more recent acquisitions, though the crops are perhaps more "forgiving". I have been asked for artichokes (2-3 times), raspberries (twice), hazelnuts, organic cotton.

 

Bunnilynn appears to be stuck on cookpots - 3 resets and she's still asking for 8, so 4th time lucky. I'll even part with my ostrich eggs if she stops asking for them! Elvus and Willy have arrived at the party and Swish will tomorrow morning when my carnations have blossomed.
