I used to be a checkout girl and I agree with you squiggle about the divider. When I first started you got timed to see how many items you could get through in a minute and then based on that you were either on the checkout or on the shop floor. Since you have to keep going quickly you rarely concentrate on what's going through, so no divider means you could end up with someone else's shopping even if there's a big gap because you may have been loading as items were being scanned through.

Please read carefully what I actually said. ;) There will ALWAYS be a divider, it is just that I don't put it till people start loading. Just my little quirk! After all, this is a thread about our little quirks. xD

Sorry farmerumf - I misread you, thought you were saying the gap was the divider :p Must be all the snow getting to my brain! But it does lead to my quirk of always having to put the divider on when I've put my shopping on - I have to, I feel all itchy without it :pxD

    Ι have some quirks too...
    • When I write with a pencil I refuse to use it's rubber. If I want to erase my mistake I will use another rubber, I want my pencils to have a "clean" rubber...
    • Ι really don't like when people writing in Greek but with Latin characters in the internet. It is so difficult to read and it takes time to understand what they are saying. This type of writing first appeared when computers didn't have Greek letters but now this no longer happens.
    • I have notebooks for school and if I start writing with a blue pen I will always write to that notebook with a blue pen.So I have some notebooks only written with a blue or a black pen.
I can't think of anything else now but if I ask my friends they sure know more;)xD

I agree Arielh - other people know our quirks much better than us. We must be so annoying to them sometimes. My daughterinlaw says I sigh a lot. I didn't know I did! I must try harder!

    More personal quirks:

The kitchen sink. Why is it whenever I want the plug to hold, it slowly leaks all the water out, but if I want it to drain, I have to unstop it 3 times before the stopper will quit sucking back into the drain?-.-

Hold music. I understand that companies can be busy, but is there really that high a volume of calls at 3 a.m. that I have to wait for 15 minutes to get a customer service rep? And could you please turn down the volume of your music, if it's hurting my ears, it's way too loud.

A just received catalog with a product I want at a great price, only when I go to order it, it's already sold out .

I love to have the same amount for some crops.

    1. wheat and carrot.
    2. cucumber, hops and rhubarb.
    3. lily of the valley and peppermint
    4. peony, watermelons and crop circle.
    5. lavender and sage.
    6. asparagus, canola and blueberry.

So you might know what I'm doing everyday. Making them the same!
I will get frustrated if the numbers are different.>:(

If you look at my barn you will see that I have:
    1. 8464 carrot and 8464 wheat
    2. 1101 hops, 1101 cucumber and 1101 rhubarb
    3. 471 lily of the valley and 471 peppermint
    4. 435 peony, 435 watermelons and 435 crop circle
    5. 369 lavender and 369 sage
    6. 263 asparagus, 263 canola and 263 blueberry

penguilnz I used to do that in my old farm for two crops, tomatoes and another which I don't remember...
It is very difficult and it needs real patience!

Oh yes the toothpaste MUST be squeezed from the bottom. That's another thing I have to fix at my daughters' house. Not just 1 tube but sometimes 3:eek::eek: You know they put these little things on plastic milk jugs called "handle" which makes it really convenient to grab when the handle isn't facing-.- the wrong way-.- This just defeats the whole purpose of the handle.

Aah the toothpaste - I gave up trying to train hubby (have managed the toilet seat though) - I now only buy pump action, so he just forgets to put the lid back on now -.-

I'm a sigher too Farmerumf! In fact a bit of a grunter(with the arthritus). The gals I work with at the store...know when it's time for me to call it a day....when I'm sighing & grunting a few times a minute! LOL:eek:
I totally agree with the roll over on toilet paper...still can't train hubby!:sleepy:

However, I have solved the toothpaste dilemma in our house....2 sinks = 2 toothpastes...Aha...I don't care how he keeps "his" toothpaste!!!!...b/c I have my own neatly rolled from the bottom!:p

About the grocery line....I wish, wish they would have a seperate line for the couponers...takes so long!!!! For some reason I make grocery shopping like a race! Maybe it's because I don't like it....so I come well organized with a list and cruise as fast as I can down the aisles. My pet peeve....un-aware fellow shoppers that leave their(gigantic) cart out in the middle and don't give a hoot about us in a hurry. Or they are just sauntering along as though this is their personal store with no care for the rest of us! Geez!
This is almost as bad when a car parks in the middle of 2 spaces! so so rude!!!>:(

Ewww....I feel better getting these complaints off my mind!:D

I'm in the UK so nearest. Where do I start?

I have another quirk - in the winter we have curtains pulled each end of the kitchen - the thick walls do not make it possible to have actual doors. Hubby always leaves them not quite pulled fully over which annoys me so much. I spend a lot of time following him around pulling them tightly across! We only have heat in the kitchen and sitting room so I don't want it escaping to the rest of the house!!!

    * I can't sleep with any little light in the room, it must be completely dark.
    * I can't stand things getting dirty and right away I want to clean it because I feel bothered. For example, my shoes get some dirt on top.
    * I always thinking about stuff and sometimes it makes me upset because I over-think:oops:

That's all I want to share for now

Here are some of my.... thinks.
    1. Everything I do has to be in a certain order, and everything has to be ordered. Just as I'm concerned, what others do is their business.
    2. I don't accept that others tell me that what I want is not possible, or it is too hard, or I can not. I have to try several times before I give up.
    3. Every Wednesday, I change melody ringtones, wallpapers on phone and PC.
    4. Every summer I renovate something to the house (apartment).
    5. Every year before the winter holidays, mandatory I change my look.
I'm a strange person. In a good way my friends say 8)
