    Hello guy's,
I had this idea of everyone to share their favorite main meal and dessert / Cake as i was having a chat with someone and they brought up the fact i had a "Oven" and how they didn't have one .... so that got me thinking ,,,,,, with all the people from different countries around the world maybe we could all share our favorite meals and eats :) ......

my main meal would be a good old Roast Lamb or Pork and roasted veggies .....
and i do love a Pavlova with whipped cream and fruit ,,,,,

Can share recipes if you like :)

I would but you know what ,,,,,, i have no idea what they are lmao .....

Chendol is a very popular dessert in Asia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. It is made from coconut milk, thin green pandan flavored noodles and palm sugar. Red beans, rice and grass jelly are added on top as additional toppings. In Singapore and Malaysia they are sold at road side stands.
    Ingredient
    Season: available year-round

    ice kachang
is like what we would call a snow cone i think from what i can find online lol ...

    I love Google lol .....

igotfrogs - when I saw the heading for this thread I thought I would put in my favourite dish but you beat me to it. The only difference would be that the Pavlova would have to have Cornish Clotted Cream, not whipped cream. Our local pub does one to die for. Of course don't forget Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding.

So as you have taken my first choice, my second choice would be

Chillie Con Carne with rice, followed by Ice cream to take the heat away!

    8) Wow - you guys!! You are making me sooo hungry! LOL! Everything sounds so delicious!:inlove:

Well, I have to blame my favorites on my loving Grandparents...We were very close with them, but did not live very close. So when they would visit, they would take us all out for lobster dinner at whatever restaurant served the best Seafood. It was 'celebration' time - we loved each other's company so much. The whole table would order various kinds of lobster tails, and the waiters were included in the jollity/fun. For a while - when I was about 6-7 - I would insist on turning down the lobster (much to the family's surprise) in favor of ...a "hamburger, butter and tomato only, please!" LOL
Eventually I developed a taste for lobster (tails only! Like some of you in another post, I don't like messes, and the whole lobster-being partially taken apart by hand- is, in my opinion, a disaster just waiting to splatter on your clothing or drip off your hands!:wuerg:) and Alaskan king crab legs.:inlove: But still today a very close third is a yummy hamburger, butter and tomato only, please!:D:D
Dessert? Well, I've never been a big dessert eater, so I'd have to say...whatever looks most appealing at the time.

I'm a roast beef and Yorkshire pudding girl with sticky toffee pudding and custard for dessert especially in this weather. Something to warm you up before venturing outside in the cold!

Steak and chips with mushy peas for me. And for pudding - rice pudding with a swirl of golden syrup.

    Your food makes me hungry!

Do you think I should eat Hainanese Chicken Rice for dinner?

If you agree with me then I think I should grow some chickens in my farm now.
They will be ready in 1 hour and 20 minutes (With Stable Master Rune). After 1 hour and 20 minutes I can cook them, put them on a plate and add some rice.

My favorite dish is MD style crabcakes, blue crabs and shrimp fixed any kind of way. This coming from spending a lot of time out crab and fishing with my grandpa as a little girl.
My favorite desserts are peach cobbler, cheesecake and German Chocolate cake( which my mom still makes for me on my birthday).

There's some in my freezer. DH (just in case, that's short for "dear husband" - some days more dear than others), anyway, DH asked for chili dogs for his birthday so I made a big pot of chili con carne and we roasted hot dogs (on Dec. 31 in the freezing cold) and had family and friends over - was a good birthday party.

So just let me know when to expect you for dinner...

I made an apple pie this afternoon - one of DH's favorite desserts. He never says "no" to dessert, oh wait...yes he does. My friend makes a plum tattan (Sp?) that is to die for...but he turns his nose up because of the plums.

Anyway, my favorite meal has to be lobster tail with drawn butter (and a baked potato) - it's gotten so expensive here, that it's now a 'bucket list' meal. Dessert? Well, I never met dessert I didn't like, but my all time favorite has to be Key lime pie.

    I apologize if I resurrected a 'dead thread'...just couldn't help myself.
