Hey players!

It’s time for another update from your Farmerama team. 2015 has gotten off to a great start despite the issues we’ve had with the comic event and the birthday event. Our comic system has given us some issues in the recent past; however, we’re taking huge steps
towards fixing this and making improvements to this event mechanic. As you’ve noticed, we’ve introduced a LOT of variety to our weekly events and we’re constantly introducing new mechanics to delight our players. That being said, these issues were unfortunate and the team had to work insane hours to eventually bring this out on time. I know a lot of you had to use buffs and prepare your farm and were left hanging when the event was postponed. Please accept our sincere apologies and know that we’re doing everything in our power to learn from these incidents and make sure we don’t repeat them.

In other news, the team was really excited about the Birthday event. It’s amazing to know that Farmerama has been entertaining millions of users for over 5 years now! We take a lot of pride in the fact that the game has been successful for such a long time and continues to be Bigpoint’s biggest game. Your feedback (both positive and negative) for the event was very well received and acknowledged by the team and we’re happy to know that you appreciate the variety we’re bringing to our mechanics. The birthday event will be iterated and brought back in a few months’ time!

Coral Reef update: The feature is shaping up nicely even if progress is slow. A few months ago, we conducted numerous user tests with select players and board admins. Based on the feedback, we decided to redesign the mill as this would be very integral to coral reef

We’ll be able to talk more about the actual functionality in the upcoming months.

We also decided to run more opinion polls on the forum to channel your feedback to the game designers. Based on your feedback, we’ve prioritized re-working gift and trade and introducing this event mechanic more regularly in the future. As always, I can’t promise you a date but we are working on it! The game designers and community managers will continue to conduct more polls to collect your feedback and we’ll prioritize our roadmap based on the results.

We have interesting events planned for February; the Valentine’s Day event will even feature a brand new mini game!
