Lily of the valley will cost you 167 BB instead of donating. That is a lot of BB to pay for level 1. My suggestion for those who cannot access that level yet, put out your animal pens, sell manure, and be patient. One day you will be able to complete events too.

I got so excited with this event. This is doable I thought because I have most of the requirements. But then..... hey ho, surprise surprise I have to produce something in the mill (again) with quite high amounts of event crops:( and I am thinking it is not worth the buffs to boost the harvest. I do like the idea though of having mini games in between donations :inlove:

I remember my first Valentine, in my first year on the farm. At a low level, I was able to finish the whole thing & even get the clouds (Sweetheart swing, etc).
With time events are getting harder & harder; how on earth are half the players supposed to participate in this event? Isn't this game for everyone? Or is it only for the highest level players, or the paying elite, as a friend of mine likes to call some.

I too like the GB as a reward, but nothing else can tempt me enough to turn my farms upside down, yet again, & grow event crops round the clock.

I was very enthusiastic at first, began growing the initial seeds, & not until I took a closer look at the FAQ, that I figured out what a huge amount of crops is required. The 8400 for the 1,3,5th steps is o'k. Just right. But in addition to that, we need 7260 more for the Cupid's arrows. On top of the total amount of 15,660 event crops, we need a load of high-end farm crops. To me, the task of growing all that vs the rewards is simply not worth it.
I like the idea of doing something different for a change; Step 2 & 4 promise to be fun & I'd love to try it, but again, the rewards don't warrant this much work.

I also fear that the the drops won't be enough. It takes 385 arrows to produce the 55 Cupid's. Providing of course that one can manage to complete Step 2 & 4 with 55 of them. For those who don't shoot straight, it may even be more.

A note to zemaargarida & others on low level. Save your BB. There will be other events, some better, some worse. But if you must pay to play, forget it. And especially at your level, you'll need to pay a lot, & almost every step of the way. For unless a player has all 4 farms available to grow crops on, & unless you can use CAC & PJ, there's no way you can possibly manage to collect 15K+ of event crops.

I don't mind spending hundreds during stable/seedlings events, paying for pets & recipes, etc, but not for events. After all, this is a game, it's supposed to be fun, not pressure!

So I'll have to pass on this one. I'm saddened for Valentine is one of the best holidays & one celebrated all over the world. For that the developers could've made an effort to do better. This event is a step down from recent ones.

Good luck to all & especially with the drops.

Hi Dienstag I believe it is impossible to miss the pink balloons. The developers have made it so easy. :)

I like this event, to me it is a medium challenge, the requirements are not high compared to other events, the rewards are good, it matches the efforts, the event crop time is 5 1/2 hours that's also good, the mini game, I tried it, it is cool, simple and not difficult, I agree with some players that the cupid's arrow has a high requirements, but it was no problem for me since I have all the non-event requirements in stock, so the time of the event I believe is sufficient to finish the event crops and the drop items (may be not all players can), I used to complain about the drop items in some of the previous events, but the truth is I had finished all the events with a lot of drop items balance in stock, so sometimes it looks high but it is ok in the end, I managed to finish three steps in less than 24 hours, and there is still 3 more steps and 5 days to go.

I fear I have to go with -Gigit- on this one. There is no way I will be able to get so many event crops in time. So missing out on the next cloud row :( . The idea of the mini game sounds fun though, I'll give you that.

Nice idea to add the mini game.....it seems fairly simple.....I guess you could only miss the pink balloons if you fell off the chair while aiming and shooting...Rewards are good (ok, I admit they are better than ok!), and the common cry to get rewarded with Golden Bananas was finally heard. Only negative remark would be that the Event-Designer didn't manage to include all players; I know it states you can participate starting with Level 2, but what good does it do, if the first stage is already asking to donate Orchids (Level 15) and Lily of the Valley (Level 35)?

I think a simple reordering of the tasks (mini game in step 1, 3 and 5), would have made this event a lot better for low level players.

Then everyone could have done the first step :) I think that would have been a very nice mini event for a brand new player :D

Players between level 51 and 66 would then only miss one step of the event, not two :)

Just hang on to your roses... At some point there will always be an event that offers you the chance to donate any crop you choose. For which roses are great value often. Patience is a very important quality in this game... you will reach everything....just not today! xD
This is one of the root causes of the common farmerama disease, which we call FOCD. Farmerama Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.... MUST finish...Must finish... must farm.... ;)

I am a high level player, and even I do not always make it to the end of an event, this one has me scrambling to grow more event crop...when usually I'm done quickly.

Also, who knows, during the next barter and give event, you might still be able to get some valentine items, if they are tradable.:)

I am enjoying the pace of this event - it is not easy and takes a bit of planning but it has a variety of elements. I do think the rewards are worth it and the mini game is fun (it is easy but it is still amusing!). :D

The choice of 5.5 hours for the crop is a bit bizarre. Normally with a 4 hour crop, I try to push myself (work permitting) to do four harvests a day (just cos I can!) but 5.5 hours is just too awkward so will stick to three harvests. Will still finish tomorrow on both farms so it will not harm my chances of finishing the event. :)

Great having 10 GBs and 5 CAC as prizes - both very alluring to the majority of farmers. No day goes by that Golden Bananas are not mentioned somewhere! xD

All in all, I feel that the programmers are taking note of our comments and views and trying to make events more interesting/attractive.

I guess I'm not as clever as the game designers, but I'm only a level 33. Because I started to donate items for the first mini donation event and then realized that I don't have Lily of the Valley flowers. Hmmm...I read the FAQ and it says that Level 2 players can play this game, but you can't get Lily of the Valley flowers until Level 35 and they are not for sale in the market. Okay...Oh wait this thread says I can use BB to buy my way through. How generous of the game. First I'm told I can play, but wait....! Not past the first level unless I'm willing to pay BB that I may or may not have considering that I haven't progressed that far in the game. Slow...clap...:( once again, the designers have done something other than what they said was going to happen. smh

    So not worth the effort.-.-

And by the way. I see no button to bypass the mini-level 1 donation with BB. No button whatsoever....oh wait! I just found it. The little cross on the picture of the Lily of the Valley flower. Hmmm...I need 167 BB...yes I said 167 BB to pass by the Lily of the Valley quest to get to mini-event level 2. Now WHY didn't you say in the FAQ that if someone wants to play past Level 1 of this game that they need 167 BB or more to do so if they are at a level under level 35? And that since you will not have that number of BB unless you purchase them than that is the only way to play the Valentines Day game if you are under Level 35? It's a simple statement: "You may play this event from Level 2, but if you are under level 35 than you will need to purchase with real world dollars additional BB in order to get past mini quest level 1 since you cannot possibly have acquired or earned the donation items needed to play the Valentines game without doing so. This game is primarily for our paying or long-time members." See? A simple statement -- honest and accurate. Now players don't feel angry at once again being mislead by the game.

Update from gamerLaf, 19 Feb 2015: The game just tried to sell me BB. Normal price is $7.49 for 150 BB. You do the math to calculate how much 167 BB would cost. That is actually surprising to me. Usually the real-world dollar purchase items are more reasonably priced. US $15 is a ridiculous amount of money to pay to go past LEVEL 1 of a mini-event game. Whoever designed this event is a jerk.

Thanks moderator for fixing my reply to my own comment and providing guidance. It was so nice of you to be so very very helpful. :D

Do they make the event complete able, if people don't have SS or BB's? turbo mulch?

A nice event that I felt could be accomplished in a relaxed way for a Farmer of my level.
A tweak here and there with Buffs. All you need is patience.
Was very happy to see that the Black Balloons behaved in a non-conflicting way or manner causing undo angst.

    Thumbs up from me!

Introducing a mini-game into the event is a great idea - something different, refreshingly new. I suppose it was meant to be that easy so I'm not complaining, it's cute and still demands some effort in the game to grow necessary plants.

Plus the fact that we need to use our barn resources too instead of just having to 'plant till we drop' event crops. 15k of the flowers that take 5,5 hours to mature is a totally reasonable goal in the given time and on all four fields. I do think devs are actually listening to our feedback, so big thanx.

All in all, I think it's just a bit too easy. But hey, from time to time it's good to have a less demanding event.
I totally don't get people who say it's still too much. We've had events that required over 20k of plants and were shorter. So what's wrong now? Would you really want an event for which you need 5k of 3 hour crop? Where's challenge there?...

    As for the rewards:

EP, CC, SSG, CAC and especially PF are always welcome on my farm, so that's OK.

Another cloud row... well, I can live with that. Don't like them much since I feel there are too many already and constant clicking is somewhat mundane. No big cheers for two new giver items (not that they aren't nice, they're just two new fish in a very crowded pond) - though I really appreciate an extra space in the row for any of our previously won givers. Maybe two unthemed clouds next time?

10 GB - :D:D:D. Absolutely love it! In a couple of days I will be able to unlock moringa statue, otherwise I would have to wait at least several weeks.

Well-done event is double nice in a contrast to the Cupig pet sale and yet another cloud row sale. Sometimes I wonder whether it's a shop or a game...
I suppose I'm not alone in that: We're willing to spend our money now and then - on mystery seedlings & stables, harvester helpers, some support in the events, maybe an item/pet that we weren't able to win in the past - but creating new items/pets that can only be bought? It's NOT a game. It's a shop.
And I'd rather be a farmer than a buyer.

I think it's a fun event. I'm working hard at growing the event crops, but if I don't finish, I don't finish. Enjoying what I can finish, anyway.

In general though, there are soooo many events lately. I need a vacation!
