snow is so beautiful! I am so happy it snowed 3 times.
You are right I will be swimming again soon... But as much as I want to swim again I can't stand these hot temperatures and the burning sun:oops: I like the weather now.
There are no coral reefs in my island. But I am exciting to see the coral reef feature here(my siggy is made from photos from this new feature ~created by Mir:)) In my island the seabed is interesting, there are some very beautiful fish(I don't know their names:p),colorful algae and seashells.
These are called eyes(because of their form), I once found one when I was swimming with a snorkel and I show it because it was shining!
    [IMG] and t
    hese are called pigs[IMG]
There seashells are not so usual to find them.
Have you ever dive to a coral reef?

julie1013 I hope the weather to get warmer soon:)

farmerumfWhat they did is so unfair>:(... In our school they couldn't forbid us not to touch the snow because our school is an open building. I mean only the classrooms have roof. I am not so sure if I explained it well...

farmlily3, I live in northwestern PA in the USA. There are many other places that have it much much worse than me but it just makes it rough. (ok, think that's enough whining for the momentxDxD) Arielh, I don't think that will happen till mid April. Last year I didn't think winter was ever going to endo_Oo_O

Well Arielh, if you really want some snow now's the time to come over to the states. We are under a blizzard watch for tomorrow night into Sunday. We are expected to get at least two feet of snow by the time the storm is over; that's on top of what we have on the ground already. There's been no melting as it's been way below freezing. I watched most of my neighbours "rake the roof" to remove the snow that's been sitting there since the last storms to prep for the new stuff. My driveway looks like the inside of a snow cave! I'll let you know how we do after the storm...and good luck/stay warm to everyone else getting snowed in this weekend.

Where's that Groundhog >:( Heard there is an arrest warrant out for him :D If I find you I am going to lock you up till you can never see your shadow then set you free so you can't predict another 6 weeks of winter :p @snobunny333 where are you? I am 20 minutes east of Buffalo, NY. We live in the country and its been brutal here. Empty corn field across the street so no protection and man when the wind blows brrrrrr. I go down to barn to take care of momma cat as she has always been a barn cat and will not come in the house, I have tried, but she wants to stay in barn. So I keep blankets and towels down there for her to curl up in with water and food everyday. We have snow drifts so high and now another 6-12 inches more of snow on the way  Then I have to take my dog out 3-4 times a day so he can do his job  in this freezing cold. Have no idea when I will see green again! Just hope everything melts slow or there will be flooding everywhere in the Northeast if it melts fast. Stay warm and safe everyone. Here's a glass a wine and chocolate for you all to enjoy :inlove: Happy Valentines!!

8)Arielh - what beautiful shells!!:inlove: I love the shiny 'eyes'!.....they look like a type of Abalone, but more gorgeous and just a little different than the one I have from a friend in San Francisco, California, on the Pacific Coast of USA. The 'pigs' (how appropriate - they do look like pigs! lol) look like ones that can also be found on the Gulf Coast of Florida, but I can't remember their name here. I really, really like your pictures!!:inlove:
Unfortunately, the only coral reef diving I've done has been on tv and dvd...and they are fascinatingly beautiful! The entire seabed is so interesting, and like a mystery story at depths where they are finding new life forms!! New worlds - right here on earth!:D:D
Hmmmmmm.....swimming when it is too hot - warm and snuggley indoors when it is too cold! Each is very satisfying.

8)Wow Wow Wow!! You guys!! It is eye-opening to hear all of this!! I also hope everyone stays warm and safe!!

desi20, I think I'd like to take you up on that glass of wine and chocolate!! Sounds like just the thing for a weekend like this - and near Buffalo, N.Y., you'll need a good supply!o_O

julie, do you live in the same part of the state as solo?
NW PA is so pretty! One of the most memorable camping trips I've had was a weekend alone in a cabin in the Allegheny State Forest, in NW PA, in April when there were still patches of snow here and there. (The Park wasn't 'officially' open yet, but they were getting ready so they let me rent a cabin right by a burbling stream lined with fir trees. It was great - felt like I was the only person in the whole forest!)The deep burgundy and white trilliums were just blooming, and I saw my first poison Amanita mushrooms....and they actually looked just like the storybook pictures - bright red caps with white spots on them!! It was so surprising and delightful - seeing them made me feel like I was IN a storybook! LOL!
Julie, you live in a beautiful state (in spite of all that s-n-o-w!):inlove::eek:

dgirl, I think you have it even worse than I do - aren't you at a higher elevation?? Guess we should all join desi for some wine and chocolate!! Snow party! yaaay!xD

snowbunny, ....driveway like a snow cave?!:wuerg: I hope you still have an 'entrance' when this is over!! Join the party that desi doesn't know she's having yet?! Wine and chocolate - yum!:inlove::D;)

I'll add my Hope that everyone stays safe and warm!:inlove:

Well I know it can't compare to all who are really freezing.... but it is 39F here in Florida this morning. To us that's cold, it's usually around 70ish this time of year.

I would trade with someone for just a little while. I've never seen snow and have such an urge to throw a huge snowball at my hubby and kids :D:p

farmlily3, yes I do believe I live about 40 mins away from solo and yes I know PA is a beautiful state to live in especially with all 4 season changes but sometimes winter can be challenging although not nearly as bad as desi;) But once again it is snow snow snowing:cry: and I have to go back out again today to babysit from noonish till about 10 p.m. which by that time the temp will be near 0 (brrrrr). Supposed to get down to -9 overnight with a high of -1 tomorrow (don't forget the windchill factor) Yeah, absolutely beautiful as long as you don't have to go out in itxD But on the bright side at least it's not that icy stuff, right?;)xD;)

I think the only way I can understand the bitter cold is to open my freezer and stick my head in for a few minutes.
It is a delightful chill at the moment in Florida. People walking around in shorts (no doubt from up north) and boats galore in the water way. To my fellow farmers protect your crops from the ice even in some places in Florida we have to protect the oranges;)

8)Hi, dgirl - glad you're enjoying the wine and chocolate (as I will, too), but they come from desi20!;) We'll both have to thank him/her - it's a great idea, sounds yummy.
    3 inches - and it's just beginning??o_O

julie - I agree...'absolutely beautiful as long as you don't have to go out in it'! Glad I don't have to, because we have ice underneath all that pretty white stuff! And the chill factor tonight is (minus) -30 degrees below zero!:wuerg::wuerg:

    Hey desi!!.....Yaaaay for the Snow Party.....brrrrrr - we'll be right there!!! :p:music::D:D

Woo Hoo! It is snowing! We are expecting 8-14 inches! The temps are going to stay low so it won't melt right away. It is still dark but I can't wait until daylight to watch it snow. Wish loved ones did not have to drive as it started with sleet so the roads are very slick. Hubby already left for work and son starts a brand new job today.
