Feedback Question Tuesday CW 8: Valentines Day Event

It's Tuesday again! This week we would like to know your opinion about the Valentine's Day Event, in addition to the feedback thread.

First, where is question 7, or did I missed it, I voted for the mini game, even though I like the event but I did not vote for the mix, the rewards would be my second choice, and beside, I think the event crops should have been added to the choices, it was lovely, I managed to finish the event in around 50 hours, so that took a part of the fun for me, that's why I would not go for the difficulty, and the quests step, I am conservative here, I was really sad to see players struggle for step 1 and three, but the challenge was in the mini game, it add color and atmosphere to the event.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed the event. I liked the event crop (have a real one in my yard), the new mini game (thankfully it was an easy target and not like Renzo's whack a mole), the rewards (10 GB! Thank you!) and with some minor tweaking, it could be a top contender of favorites. I did not have a problem with the progression of levels but possibly the first level could have been suitable for even lower levels (there are a variety of flowers that are available). The suggestion has been made in the feedback thread that possibly the mini game could have been the first level followed by crops so that everyone could have enjoyed this new feature.

The only thing I did not care for in this event was the number of flowers needed to make arrows and the milling time. I don't mind milling for events but would not like to see times exceed 5-10 minutes.

 

The Mini Game
The Mini Game was very fun. It will also help you to practice your accuracy. One thing about the mini game: The arrow took too long to mill.

The Rewards
The Rewards were much better this time. Especially the 10 GB.

The Graphics
The Graphics are very nice and beautiful...

This is one of my favourites. Because of the difficulty, I had to think of ways to finish the quests!

voted for Rewards, but it was combination of:
Mini Game
and
Reward (specifically - Golden Bananas)

 

Hi!

I voted for the mini-game. It provided a nice change from plant-water-harvest-plant-water-harvest etc. of most events. Having to make the arrows first made it a bit more difficult without being annoying/impossible, though the event crop required for each arrow seemed high (132 flowers, really? That's almost a fifth of my entire harvest each round!). I liked how easy the balloons were to hit, though I also enjoy Renzo's Whack-a-Mole (apparently I'm the only one? ).

My second choice (a very close second choice) were the rewards (thank you BP for the GB!).

The difficulty...not tough for me, though the 5.5 hour crop did require strategy in order to fit plant/harvest around RL (liked that as opposed to the constant plant-harvest-plant-harvest of other events). I do agree with many others that the first level should have been accessible to players lower than level 35, either by making the mini-game available for steps 1, 3, & 5 (instead of 2, 4, & 6) or by using a lower-level flower (sunflowers, for example, are the first flowers available, at level 3).

While I sit here and shiver I look back at this Quest I am struck with how seamlessly fluid it was.
With experience from previous Quests I was prepared with adequate stocks of required components.
Yes the price of Cupid's Arrows was high and the time longer than what most of us were used to But, Most of us here on these forums seemed to have overcome this by listening to others strategies and encouraging and being encouraged by others.
The prizes were generous and useful. Games like this make you want to come back unlike a few of the clunkers we've had in the past.

 

The mini game was good/different, 10 x banana was good/different. Drops good as I didn't have to go begging this time as a level 90+ player.

 

I agree with Dormouse, the drops, for once, didn't seem horrendously difficult to get, and that was definitely good. I loved the mini game (like cpeterson, I also like whack-a-mole), and was impatient to be able to mill the arrows, lol. And those beautiful shiny bananas as a prize! All in all, I think this was a lovely event .

 

Especially liked the 10GB. The mono game was a nice change of pace but getting the resources and milling them seemed to be too time consuming, I was skeptical at first about taking all the time to get arrows for the mini game would I need to mill even more arrows for teh game due to the difficulty level. Fortuately that was not the case and the mini game was a nice change

 

I really liked this event. Every thing was nice. It was fun, the story was good, the rewards were nice, the event crops were not too short and not too long, graphics were cute. I enjoyed the mini game as Whack a mole is my favorite when Renzo comes to town.

 

I liked so much the event. I voted for the mix of all above because I liked the whole event. I want to mention that I liked the idea of the mini game because we only had to produce arrows which needed the event crops and drops, so we didn't have to donate plants, tree fruit or animals from our farm.

 

I voted for the mini game. It was a nice change. Except for the gold bananas, the reward were not that great.
The drops were good, and the steps were also just about right.
Sorry, I never read the stories, as I do not like comic much.

 

I liked the whole event, the mill time and amount of flowers to use for arrows I think were over the top, other than that a very enjoyable event. The golden bananas as a prize was very good!

 

There were many good things about this event but I voted for the mini game.
I normally finish the events but by the 3rd day of non-stop event crops I'm bored with it and can't wait for it
all to be over. The mini game and the milling broke it up for me so I wasn't doing grow, deposit, grow deposit...

Many people said they were not playing this event because of the large number of crops required but I had no problem with the amount at all as I didn't bother to grow them, I bought them. (I gladly spent about 150K CC because the Poppies were expensive.) I didn't mind spending that amount at all, if you told me at any other time that I could get 10 GB for 150K I would say "I'll take 100"

The drops were also really good for this event, I normally have 300ish left over but this event ended with over 400 arrow shafts

Valentine events never belong to my favorite ones… maybe because there’s too much pink in the air? But let’s see what was fine about the last one.

The mini game – it was very simple, but at least it was something new and different from the boring event plants. So surly this was a strong side of this event.

The Rewards – Reward were fine, but I prefer more high EP rewards (106 000 EP in the 5th task was ok, but the rest almost unnoticeable for me). Golden bananas were probably the most interesting and very awaited reward for a large group of players. I have some reserves of them, but still don’t mind getting ten more... just in case

The Graphics – Nice, but for me this is not the most important thing about events. Anyway I can say that black balloons where the best! At least it was something in my favorite color

The story – Don’t kill me… last days were a nightmare for me, I was doing the event in such a hurry, that I didn’t even read it

The quest steps – the mini game made the difference this time. It was nice that the quest steps where not all the same.

The difficulty – for me it was pretty simple. It might have been much harder for those who can’t afford using CAC all the time and of course for players on lower levels who didn’t have access to all required plants.

The mix of all the above – until today I was not sure if I should choose this answer or the mini game itself. But events are in fact a combination of many things and the mini game alone, wouldn’t make much sense.

Of course I took part in this event, although, as I wrote earlier, I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s events. This one also didn’t amaze me, but still it was pretty nice, and the mini game shows that maybe we can count on new interesting ideas also in the future.
