Guy's this is probably going to sound like a very silly question ......
    BUT .....
How do i work out the value of my products i have in my bran that are exchangeable for this coming event .... this is the 1st real one I've felt confident to take part in that has the barn exchange

When you look at them in your barn, you'll see how many you have as well as their value.

I am using Parrot Feathers. I need 8000 in product for the first level. The feathers are worth 1864 each. So I'll need 5 to reach the 8000.

    Hi Frogs :)

The way I do it is that I compare the market prices relative to the exchange rate. I will show you how to do it using numbers from my market. I actually didn't do these calculations, because it was very clear what the result would be after looking at the exchange values.

The two last columns are not really needed, all the information you need is the price/EV, the lower the better. But it is a bit clearer if we also compute how many of each product we need to get 56000 in EV, and what the total cost of buying all these would be.

You should really check the market prices in your market. But in this case I am very sure the result will be the same. Parrot feathers is the obvious choice :D

Even if you have the products in your barn, it is worth looking at the price/EV ratio, because you can then donate the product with the lowest ratio, and maybe sell some of the others :)

    Is the table clear?

ProductExchange valueMarket pricePrice/EVNumber of productsTotal cost

Does anyone know the EV of picnic blankets? I sold all mine (did you see the price ), so I can't check :p

    hi gretchncliff :)

Picnic blankets are produced in the Textile mill (squirrel workshop). You won't need them for the event, as you can choose which of the 6 products to donate :) Parrot feathers will probably be the best option :)

Good luck with the event :D

you dont NEED to have them they are just one of the things you can turn in to reach the required exchange value .....

you can also use parrot feathers and sheep wool and angora wool (rabbit) .... as well as jewels ...

Hi gretchncliff923! As igotfrogs and Mir indicated, you don't absolutely have to have them this event, they're just an option. However, if you don't have the textile mill that makes them, you can buy them in the market, but they don't run cheap.:p Use whichever of the allowed products is the least expensive for you to donate, and by least expensive I mean, whatever you could buy the cheapest (if you had to), but you also want to consider how many of that cheap item it would take to equal the EV of one expensive product. If you had a product that has a low exchange value (NOT current market price), say 100, and costs you 600 to buy, for a donation of 1000 EV you'd end up paying 6000 CC. But if you have a more expensive item that costs 1200 to buy, but has an exchange value of 1500, you'd actually be better off to buy one of the more expensive item rather than 6 of the cheaper. Mir has a lovely chart a few posts back that can help you with this (exact numbers will be different, depending what market you're on, but it gives a good visual idea). Sounds like parrot feathers are the way to go on this one.;) I only have 1495 of them, I'm a little worried I won't have enough:wuerg:xD.

We need 8500 peacok flowers, instead of 8400 peacock flowers.

    @-Mir85-
The value of parrot feather is 1864, not 1846.

btw, I will use parrot feather to tackle step 4. And this is what I will do :
    • Silver
    8000/1864 = 4.291 = 5 parrot feathers.
    • Gold
    18000/1864 = 9.656 = 10 parrot feathers.
    • Diamond
    30000/1864 = 16.094 = 17 parrot feathers.
    Overall, I would need/donate 32 parrot feathers.
Good luck everyone with the event....;););)

I'm still planting trees... good thing I looked in the forum to see what was going on. I'm good on all the stuff. I always seem to have problems with the drops. The 50% thing never seems to help me. Oh yeah, I already had enough feathers, but I loaded up on them. Not gonna be caught short on anything like them again. Night ppl...

I'm liking the look of this event. I've got all the animals, tree fruit and workshop products so it's just the event crops and drops to sort. I like the fact they've given us a choice of products to choose from and even though the rewards aren't amazing, I think they are in tune with the requirements and I'm always pleased of the harvest helper coupons, SG and PF!!
I am however, excited about the glowworm field as it's the first time I've seen it available to win since I've been playing so can't wait to get that on one of my fields!!! :)

Good luck to everyone who'll be doing the event and if anyone gets stuck on the drops and I'm all done, I'm always happy to help others out!!

Just wanted to say that the drops you can gift are free gifts, they are not deducted from your drops :) So you can send your neighbors drops even if you are short on them yourself :) Sorry if I misunderstood you.
