Ahhhh. Strategy is to now get the junks growin. AND absolutely no water and N O CAC. No hurry hurry! Just going to keep calm and slow down and appreciate the junks as they grow, whatever it is. Good luck to all. Cold red punch anyone?

 

What will farmers grow for Happy Harvest (2x EP on crops) tomorrow? Continue with event crop? Grow something else? What is the best thing to grow? I know to plant the best long crop tonight but what to plant during the day tomorrow? Suggestions?

 

I just planted sugar beets to be ready for HHD Then I will grow event crops during the day. On the farm the event crops give great EP. Peacock flowers give twice as much EP as gooseberries with the same growing time

On baha I haven't decided yet, but no event crops for sure (like usual)

I've only had 60 drops so far in the game. I'm very disappointed in what I've seen. I agree the drops aren't what they used to be.

Ya know... I love throwing junk up in the air and shooting holes in it before it hits the ground. Gotta be careful though... Gotta make sure none of FB junk don't have bees in them... they wouldn't appreciate dodging that hot lead... LOL

I completely agree with Mir.

In my case, I'll plant iris in Farm, since I have the flowers/event crops booster cloud row on, due to run out in 16:50 from now. Given that with the CR on iris takes 12:28:48 when watered, that's perfect timing for getting them done before the current CAC/ZAB set expires and coupling the remainder of the CR's effect with one round of event crops. The rest of the day, I'll be growing the event crop in the Farm.

In Baha, for both same reason (the CR) and what Mir explained, I'll plant hibiscus (05:45:36, watered) to be ready for when I get up, then I'll plant bromeliads till the CR runs out (02:02:24, watered) and I now-don't-know-whats afterwards, certainly NOT the event crop.

All, of course, in tree-free non-barren land.

I have had some RL issues crop up unexpectedly today and have been distracted so did not make a good plan. I considered CAC crops for overnight (could always use a boost of those) or carnations for the EP. However, they should have been started hours ago (instead of the last round of event crop) in order to be ready when I get up in the morning. Now I am left with: plant them and wait in the morning or go with roses so I can start my day on time. Honestly....looks like roses for me. Ginger on Baha tonight. I only need a few more thousand to finish the Cosmetics quest and am eager to wrap that one up.

I have now 8800 Peacock Flowers and 280 Fruit Hats so Far, so just need to focus on getting the Remaining Fruit Hats. This is Certainly the easiest event I done getting the Require Event Crops. It Certainly an Event that lower and Newbies are do with Ease. There is no need to even use CAC as it can be done to do two Harvests of Peacock Flowers using 1 PJ, as I still got CAC.

Now i have planted Hisbiscus on the Island that we get double EP on all Crops today I will try and get much EP as Possible on the Island using 30% More Flower EP Cloud Row, use my Chestnut King that gives me 100% EP for 1 hour plus will use ZAB and Green Mateato, Plus 20% EP Tropical Crop Cloud Row, plus use all my Pets too.

The I will Plant and Grow Bromelaids on the Island While the Flower Cloud Row is Running. On The Mainland will Refined Flower Crops that has Reduce water Refinement which works will with Flower Cloud Row. This will certainly speed up my drops of Fruit Hats.

 

During the day I'll plant event crops. My longest growing crop (Garlic) gives 25EP for each 1x1 in 16:45 hours. The event crops will give me almost double that amount in the same time.
I had planted long term crops in the night and just harvested them, so that was nice

 

Yes I've gone for Organic cotton as my over night crop everywhere except baha .... I've put my longest growing highest EP giver in there .... have them timed for just after i'll be up in the morning .... will plant event crops all day .... should be close to done by tomorrow night with the crop ... then should i hope only take a few more longer crops to get enough drops ..... I'm thinking i'll grow all the event crop needed then work on getting the full amount drops
May start cashing in before the double EP day runs out though so as to cash in on some of the extra

 

Why every time there is a Happy harvest day there is also an event?

 

BW does not have all the flowers for the cloud row so not able to reduce flowers on the island but have used Tiki timers (thank you to the wonderful friends who sent them) on the vegetables to speed up production and make the most of Happy Harvest. Using CAC, ZAB, and my last Carrot bread. Planting event crops on main fields. Wish Happy harvest day was more like Happy Harvest Week

 

Thanks to all those who replied to my Pineapple Cake query - Teddy confirmed that the +1 does not apply to event crops on the island.

I have changed my strategy anyway - well why not, this event allows a girl to change her mind! I have cleared my meadows, planted event crops there too and set off CAC. Despite working, I have about half the crops already, Illy will probably have all event crops by tomorrow and this farm by Thursday morning. The hats seem to be coming in nice and steady so a nice, relaxed event for me.

 

I have finished all the steps except step 5, the last one, I am done with the event crop, just waiting on the fruit hats, I have 47 from the 225 for step 5, but I screwed up three times since last night, other wise I should have finished, first I was sleepy and without thinking planted event crop for the night instead of a long time crop for the drops, for my second harvest this morning CAC expired and I just harvested without checking and remembered to check when I went to harvest the Island, and my third was a little while ago, just harvested and planted the event crop again and I don't need it, I was done with event crop, so I wasted a precious time from HHD, I don't know how this happened, maybe I am ageing quickly and started to forget things, anyway tomorrow morning with my first harvest I shall be done with the event, good luck all.
