Feedback Question Tuesday CW9: Tools

It's Tuesday again! This week we would like to know what tools are you most interested in.

I have chosen that I don't need tools only because at the moment I have all the workshops I need. At the times when the Chopstick Factory and Cookware Forge were introduced, it took a while before I was able to build either of these. Wooden Mallets and Queen Bees were a little scarce at the start, if my memory serves me well.

Now I am happily able to build any workshop I want, on either farm, when I want ... but as said, that is at the moment!

 

I don't need any of the tools mentioned! Sure, the zen rakes and scrap metals were scarce for some time after they were introduced, but that is the way it is supposed to be. In fact I like that, it means that the new products will be very valuable for some time. A nice income of cc for patient players who are willing to wait some time with the product FSQ

After 1.3 years of playing I have more than enough of every tool, except wood. I like building colored upgrades for stables and workshops, but the limiting factor is wood.

 

I voted "all of them". At the moment I still need 1 Queen Bee for the Apiary. I do understand a Honey tree might be better, but since none of us has any idea when there'll a next G & T event, I thought I might as well save tools for an apiary nonetheless.
Besides things for the Apiary I'm also saving tools for Opening up the Florist, Bakery and Spa Manager, for a Sheep Shearing Shed, Koi Pond, Ostrich Egg Farm, Cow Dairy (yes, again... when's the next G & T ). I wouldn't mind having multiple workshops of each of the workshops I already have (egg farm, goat dairy (yes... G & T), Paint factory, Rabbit Shearing Shed....)

And then for workshops I can't access / don't know about yet. Zen Rakes, no idea what they're used for. Same goes for the Wooden Mallet.

I was lucky enough to win a Cookware Forge, but I certainly wouldn't mind having another one The same goes for the Truffle Farm. So the Oak Seedling and Scrap metals will come in handy too.

And of course I need loads of tools which are not mentioned here, like the nails, the wooden planks, etc.

I guess I need all the tools I can lay my (free) hands upon I'm greedy with that

wood boards. Crow hoard base needs 3000 for each! I don't have enough to build 1/4 of one, let alone more than one.

 

I, too marked "other" and need wood boards more than anything else.

That said, even though it is a struggle, I am not sure we really and truly want an increase. It will make things easier, but it may be a case of "be careful what you wish for".. or the old curse "may you get everything you wish". It really IS a curse!

I checked none as ATM I have all the pens I need and am just building up tools whilst waiting for the breeding animals to build coloured pens.

 

I voted for scrap metal, even I have some, but I don't mind more since it is harder to get, all the other I have plenty, zen rakes I have 100, queen bee I have 114, and wood I have 23,690 but scrap metal I have only 28.

I don't know about everyone, but I always seem to be low on hammers... I find they are the hardest for me to find.

Zen Rakes are needed to build Chopstick Factory and Wooden Mallets to build Peanut Butter Factory...
I voted "all of them" as well, one just never knows when BP advances us with an Event that requires Tools of any sort.
I think I am better off having any Tools in my shed/barn then not having enough for the "just in case" situation.

 

i have lot of all tools . some 4894 nails ,1481 wood and i can send you tiles and roof Penguilnz i have them over 550 each best thing to send to friend is always toolbox

 

I also selected 'all of them' as we never know what the requirements will be for newly introduced production pens. The crow hoard took me forever to build because it needs so many boards. The rare items (scrap metal and zen rakes) were frustratingly hard to come by but now I have enough for my own needs.

I agree a toolbox as a gift is always appreciated

 

Heya oldmcdonald, I'd love to have the three workshops you mentioned! Thanks I may not have anything worthy in return yet, though, but we'll see when the next G & T is actually there

Heya, marlenef24, fancy seeing you here Ah, thanks for the information about the mallet and the zenrakes. That explains why I don't have that in my workshop overview yet... I don't have the Panda's nor the Peanut butter factory related animal/chamber opened up yet, only the monkeys and the parrots.

Wood boards!

 

I voted for all tools. You never know when BP will throw a mass tool donation into an event Am always building animal upgrades with each new breeding animal introduced, so will never not need them

 

I voted for the tools which are not mentioned.
Zen Rake and Scrap metal have absolutely no refinement associated (still) but they are "indigenous" to only one kind of animal workshop.
And although every other tool in the poll are also needed for just one type of workshop (with the exception of the handwoven basket, I think) we have refinements that can give hundreds of them in a very short time. Whenever I plant a long-time crop overnight I also put a tool refinement (doesn't matter which one) just for those strange future events that catch us off-guard.
So basically, they are almost useless to a long-time player. At least to me. (Not mentioning the fabulous product trees that made some workshop pens absolutely useless!)
Even hammers, shovel, saw, machine parts, paint and spray are available in large quantities provided you have the required refinements.
It's true and I definitely agree with the above posters that we never know when tools will become necessary in large quantities.
But myself, I'm always short on: Nails, tiles, bricks and especially wood because the refinements are very stingy (10% more, what is that?) and we never have enough to produce large quantities of workshop pens/upgraded pens. Hence the vote for tools not mentioned.

I'm always worried about this surveys/polls that BP throws at us. I'm sorry but I do.
But this one is certainly the most frightening of all...

 

For the first 6 and 1/2 months playing this game I only needed hammers. Now on month seven I've finally reached the point I mainly need wood boards.
