Offer a new craft recipe that will specifically increase drop rates for event items. bouquet/confection or bakery item... or one of each, make it at the highest level shop.

Love this idea for when you can't get enough drop items. I know BP sells baskets but they could still make money selling bb's to buy other items to increase production/harvesting time. Susy's Super Grow, Suger-Grow, etc.

They already have craft items to increase EP, harvest, etc.

I think people would still buy baskets, but this would help.

I think this is a good idea but would submit a thought...players that have their shops open to the highest level are probably not struggling with event drops as a general rule. The other thing to consider is which buff slot it would take.

Hmmm....would it be better to have be a first or 2nd level recipe with a short duration time? It would help out more the farmers that have low level trophies and struggle with drops during events. I agree with PNP that if you make it too much of a high end item then the players who really need it most won't be able to make and or afford it and the players who can won't need it.

Maybe a 5% increase in drops for a 4 hour period or something similar and use it in a gold or silver slot.

If I understand right, <this is always iffy, my mind does not go by the general flute player> It would be the same as a new bean stick? like the dreamie chestnut row that reduces by what 20% don't know before my time, But now that it's what 4 years later a new yummie is needed for the new RL money errr I mean players to have in the inventory?

That would be nice, a row or a jam that will give a discount to me a row would work better for newer players get to it faster, but a jam or cake added to the artisan area is needed, in spa I am new, but one level all you get is one thing to make? I jumped threw hoops to get one goodie-.-??? I want more junk, here make some sweet with time limits, but on a whole not just sugar cane but events drops for set amounts of hours does sounds nice.
I got the bean stock way before the artisan, and back then I would have done hoops of flames to get a bean stick that gave drops for events.

This is true, however part of the reason is that many of us now have several cloud rows that boost drops. Those rows are no longer available to newer players.

Maybe such a product should be a lower level item. A boost of, say 1% would help, but could be a offered at levels 2-3 or so.

I am not discounting any of your ideas but wonder if BP would only increase the number of drops needed if we have event drop boosters that we can craft. I know there is a cloud row that helps boost drops but cannot recall its particular features (what percentage or cool down time) but as things are in game now, the best thing still to do to boost crops remains those tried and true strategies of trophy levels, moving them prior to harvesting, not letting your farm idle...and patience. It takes time to be able to build a farm up to the point that you can complete events. It is a long term goal just like making your own CAC. I remember both of those milestones vividly.
BP's economy is supported by the event baskets, as well as players buying the event drops with BB so I don't know how much they would charge for a recipe to craft an event drop product. Possibly players would also like a crafted item rather than using super grow on refined crops but I highly doubt it would be a silver buffing slot and my gold slots are already utilized but still if you are in a pinch drop wise, it can be an alternative.:)

I'm afraid this would be the sticking point to any new buff for drops, though I think it is a nice idea.

What made me think of this was discussion of the chestnut row in the strategy section. That is no longer available, but a product might be.

It think if it were a diamond slot offering, making people choose between CAC/EP boosters or gold making people choose between boosting pen/workshop speed/pink jelly/ep boosters and this, it might do from farmerama's perspective. Of course from the player perspective, silver would be fantastic...even if the boost were tiny, say 1-2% and only for event drops.

Also, while purchase of event baskets might go down slightly (don't think it would.. people are impatient), it would boost the purchase of crafting supplies.
