    hello all, new player here.
to date i have used stars to open up 2 sections of the glade, should i continue to open up the rest of the glade or open up baha? or maybe i should be going a different route all together?

I had to go back and review the runes to remember what they even are.. lol

Baha is getting more and more important to the game, so I would suggest going for that.

Then you want to open the rest of the glade Having the park is nice, but you get it for free without a rune once you reach a certain point, so don't waste your stars on it. (it allows you to put your EP (and other) givers in a space that doesn't compete with pens and crops, which can be nice. I filled up my park with water tanks, which I now use (after getting premium and unlimited water) to fill up my single spaces on my cloud rows (you get those when you open the bean stalk-- which takes time, but happens eventually) More glade space similarly allows you to grow more crops and pens. Both help you fulfill more quests and events and therefore give more stars, which of course means more runes.

After that, you will have to open up the CC rune and then either the peach or BB rune. Of those, I would vote for BB, because peaches are pretty cheap to buy in the market. (hoard those BB!!!!). Then you have to get one breeding animal (you do NOT have to get any more to open the next runes in the tree!)

Beyond that, look over all the runes and think a bit. Increasing your water tower allows you to make more powerfeed, even if you happen to get premium. Increasing manure effectiveness can make a difference when completing events, especially when you start growing longer term crops. I did not open the increase market price rune for a while, but when prices are rising druing events, it can mean extra profit since you are not held back so much by the average.

Be careful, though. Initially, I went for added breeding animals, which I sold to buy things to fulfill other quests. In some ways, I wish I had those animals back, but I am also close to the point where breeding them is not such a big deal any longer. (have lots of powerfeed, pink jelly and so forth).

Fill the quests, but also do as much as you can of various events. This last one, sadly does not offer stars, but it does have some rewards that are nice for a player of your level, though you may not be able to finish it all.

thnx woody for the info. im just overwhelmed at this point which way to go. i am almost lv29 now and really dont know much about the game having just started 4 or 5 days ago. been making plenty cc selling manure from chicken stables and buying everything to complete quests. buying eggs alone boosted me to lv20 in the 2nd day.

i went ahead and opened up baha, its a whole new game? will have to do a lot more reading.

Good choice opening baha :) It is a new field with its own crops, animals and trees :)

I would suggest getting all the land on the magical glade before opening any other runes. Then my opinion is that it is best to go straight up to the top of the tree before tackling the branches :)

Using stars to open the park is very wasteful, since you get free access to the park at some level. I think it is maybe level 25, in that case, you should have it already :)

Good luck! Hope you will enjoy the game :)

Ah, yeah... forgot all about the free park opening. DO forget that rune, then.. I will change my response above. I also clarified some issues on the other bits.

I did fill branches before doing the trophies. I wanted vacation mode, in particular, and to have more neighbors. I don't know if that was the best choice, though. At that point it becomes individual. Going straight to the top is decent advice. As events are getting more numerous, it saves you time in moving your trophies around to get crop boosts. (and if you are unsure what I mean, peruse the strategy thread for carnival or the earlier one on general event strategies, they both go into it all in more detail).

As to how to get stars, etc... personally, if I had to do it over, I would get enough stalls to complete the Noah's ark quest first levels (chicken, then rabbits,..and so on, though the others will take longer) as soon as possible and then go from there. The pens tend to offer more CC than crops, and tend to sell for more. You can always put them in storage when you don't need them any longer(delete them and they automatically go into your inventory-- you don't lose them). Occasionally, they come in handy for events as well. BUT..that is an entirely personal decision. Everyone plays with their own style. Do what seems to work what seems fun to you.

I did not mind moving my trophies to each field prior to harvesting so I did not go straight up the tree right away. I did detour into the Baby boom rune for twins and to increase gifts from 5 to 7 per day. I do agree some of your decisions about what to open will depend on personal farming goals. I agree that Baha is a good choice to open. Congratulations on leveling up quickly in your first few days. Welcome to Farmerama:)

If your main goal to complete Farmers Society Quest (FSQ) and to generate EP or CC at fist time, I would suggest you to open third and forth section of glade. Have to complete the FSQ as many as fast possible that you can do to gain some stars again and after enough stars you may open baha island rune.

But if you have healthy barn and not to worry about generating CC, you may open baha island rune at first time. You would be doing to collect EP and BEP at once together.

Good luck and happy farming !!

Good choice to open third part of glades.. :)
Yes, the first time someone starts everything in baha, all feels very unusual slowness. That is because only a little space that can be used.
But over time, I'm sure you can handle it and be able to open the statue one after another without any problems again.

I'll tell you a story about my little experience and how I handle it. You may take a lesson from it. ;)

I started the game and have a little resource of CC. I was lucky enough to join Bhodo's mentoring nest. I sent him a toolbox item and a Lil' of love box everyday, and he always gave me a Rabbit Hutch or a Rabbit Shearing Shed. But I rarely used it, I kept to plant lettuce, wheat, hay and corn. I used wheat to mill chicken feed and bred chicken. Sell them (chicken, lettuce, and hay) on the market to gain some CCs, but I piled up corn in my barn. Used those CCs to buy something else for doing FSQs. I did it to Lv 40, to which it I can open all parts of the glades and also have enough stars to unlock baha island rune.
When I got on Lv 40, I could buy some Chocolate Pancakes and I went leveling up quickly on baha island by eating those. Loved it so much at that time!! :inlove::inlove:

    Hope this helps !! :music::)

    Welcome feelfree2win!

I've been playing for a few years so access to Bahamarama worked differently when I started on my main farm, but on this one I've been in a similar situation to yours. Originally I planned to open up all of the Glade before bothering about the island on this farm, but since the Carnival Tropicale event demanded specific workshop products and parrot feathers are the by far most economic choice I went for Baha with only first 2 Glade plots opened. Like SillyGuy says, chocolate pancakes are a big help with leveling on the island in the beginning. My main goal for now was to just get enough GB to unlock parrots so I could buy feathers from the market, which doesn't take that many. 10 for the second chamber, and 2 for the parrots. As for getting the stars in the first place, I went through various FSQs to see which ones required whatever I already had in my barn and got about 30 in a matter of minutes just from doing that. For cc I mainly sell crops (and some chickens); both what I've harvested myself and what I can buy from the store and get a decent profit from (most beginner crops).

    thnx sillyguy and saltypixel,
i am pretty much following what you said sillyguy, growing crops just for quests and making all of my cc from chickens and manure. tomorrow will be one week i have been playing and will reach lv40. manure has been such a huge boost @ 100cc but as of late last night the bottom has fallen out and now trading in the 60cc range, where will it stop? i think i read something about prices being really high for manure because of some game change and the event. another 20 stars or so to unlock last part of glade and then ill start with higher level animals. ill keep the 22 yellow chicken coups going since i have a lot of time to keep them going every 1.2 hrs or so.

ill have to check out the chocolate pancakes tomorrow :) thnx for the advice

Wow, level 40 in a week, fantastic :D

Keep going with the coloured chicken pens. Try to get/trade as many as you can into Orange pens!
Saves space and gives more Ep/Bep!

Manure prices tend to spike during events, but it has been generally high because folks can buy large quantities and stockpile it.

I'd suggest finishing the Noah's ark quest for chickens and then buying rabbits. They take a tad longer, but also give more EP and can be sold for higher prices in the market. Of course orange and yellow are better -- orange gives you 2 of each item, yellow is just faster and gives more EP.

Per Baha... it is, in a way, its own game. It can seem to drag at first, but if you keep harvesting and selling, you will open up more area and crops soon enough. Many recent quests ask for Baha products. If you cannot afford chocolate pancakes, buy red punch. It does not offer as much BEP, but is also cheaper.

It is very helpful. But I think it is not necessary. ;)
feelfree2win knows this game better than you.. He might be a newbie, but he is one of oustanding farmers...
What he is doing here now is to help you and more EN farmers to understand how and what is the use of the stars. He is sharing her experiences by asking some questions to us.. :)

I would not be surprised to know him got Lv 40 just in 1 week. Less in 3 weeks later, you will see he would be at Lv 70 and would have a lot of items.. :D

Big thank you to feelfree2win for bringing bright ideas to help more farmers.. I can see exactly what you are doing... :music:
Feels free to continue your subjects, I will learn a lot from you... :D:D

    - edit -

The other reasons to unlock all the parts of glades at first time:
    • Free water. Every single CC for new farmer is worth enough to save it. Water will reduce the remaining time for 20%.
    • Gains more EP (extra 10% for animal pens and extra 5% for trees).
