Obtaining Crow in Moonlight Mania

I have cleared my main farm of everything except plots for growing plants. I made a few pumpkin jams and saved up my super grows and suzy super grows. Is there anything else I can do so I can get as many plants grown to exchange for the crow roost as possible during each moonlight mania event?

Is it possible to grow enough plants to exchange for a crow roost in one MM event or does it take a couple of months? I know I can plant the longest growing plants right before it ends and harvest them after it ends...

Incredibly generous people have sent all kinds of things to help me with this quest. Thank you all so very much.

The answer is with carrot apple chutney and terror bouquet [and about 300 abominable plants left from last month] it takes about 12 hours.

Will write more later when I have time Just a couple of quick questions:

Do you have the harvest helper, or coupons you can use, so that you can use 1x1 plots with CAC? (will send you a CAC)
MM crops are quite short, will you be able to harvest and replant often, or will you be away from the computer for longer periods during the day?

 

It might take more than one try. You already hit on one trick I use... growing the shorter crops so I can harvest them during the event and then starting longer crops (or the crop I need most of) as the event ends. I am sure you already know to use 1 X 1 to maximize CAC use.

Terror bouquets help speed up the harvests of moonlight crops, but if you cannot afford CAC, I think terror bouquets are of similar cost.

Think about selling things to buy CAC (think about it, not necessarily possible or practical for you).

Beyond that, add up the totals. My brain is not functioning well enough right now to do the math, but I think you can expect it to take a couple of events to get a crow roost. That being the case, think about filling a couple of other easy quests, just "in between".

 

Thank you Mir! I'm glad I posted this question cause I have no idea what coupons are lol. And it didn't seem to make sense to use 1x1 plots but... I can sell stuff to get enough for a jar of CAC I guess that's just the way to do it. I'm planning on glueing tushy to chair in front of computer for the duration... well aside from the sleep thing I'm not high enough level to use comfort fields for that last planting either.

So the new plan is to buy a CAC and set up 1x1's.

If you eat more than one CAC or PJ, yes it extends the time but you cannot use both at the same time.

Here are the plants needed for a crow roost (I am trying to make one too on my 2nd farm)

500 abominable
1000 toe jam
750 braincoli
250 googly eye

Using 1x1 plots with CAC gives you 606 crops per harvest So you will not need many harvests to complete each crop. The time for each crop with terror bouquet and water is shown in the table:

Crop	Time with TB+W
Toe jam	48min
Abominable plant	1hr 36min
Braincoli	2hrs 14 min
Googly eye bush	3hrs 5 min

If you have time to harvest often, it should be doable It is true that you can plant right before MM finishes and harvest later. This will help for next MM, but it will not help you get the crow roost this time, since Jack's shop disappears when MM ends. So take that into account

Is this your first MM? If so you will start with only 10 of each seed. Plant them on 2x2 plots with super grow and suzy's super grow until you get enough to fill the 202 1x1 plots

Planting and harvesting 1x1 plots by hand is really tiresome, that is why I asked if you have the harvester. You might be able to do some farmer society quests to get harvester hours (starts immediately) or maybe you have some coupons for harvester time (see the Harvest helper FAQ for info on where to find them)

If you use 1x1 plots I would save the super grow and suzy's super grow for something else (unless you are just a few crops short)

I am so glad d5aisy asked about the crow roost. I was in the workshop and saw that I had all the tools needed for a crow roost I, but I could not find the crow roost. Came to the forum looking for answers, and, voila, there it is. But now the waiting begins until the next mm event. Thanks for all the great comments and suggestions
