So this is my take - I see no incentive whatsoever to complete this event. The BEP giver is nice but aside from that with no stars and so-so prizes what's the point. The whole point of these types of events for me is to gain stars to open unopened runes on the tree. If we add this to the fact that the chameleon quests in the FS also do not give stars why do I need upgrades or, for that matter, chameleons. I think I'll save my precious PF for an animal that'll give me the stars I need thanks. So no event=no breeding=no PF bought = BP finally shoots themselves in the foot!

 

Not only no stars but also the orange pen - which nornally gives 2 animals - only gives 1 animal. I quite enjoy breeding events but I agree with chookie. I'll breed a few for what I want and I'll concentrate on others that I'm half way through.
Typo apparently, orange pen should produce 2 animals!

with stars I would have completed this event, now I will have to look very carefully at the prizes to see how much of it I want to do

 

I agree with everyone so far. What's the point of this one? I don't see anything that's worth wasting PF. I guess I'll go for the bep giver, but only because they are so hard to come by.

 

I have an orange chameleon pen...and it does give 2 animals....at least that is what it says when I hover over it.

I'm going for it...why...well 1st b/c of FOCD...and 2nd....b/c I've been raising these darn chameleons for 2 months now....and I want to breed them!!!

 

Took a look at the chameleon upgrades. The most convenient Bio-glue upgrade is the orange one, so will complete step 6 to get that and the chamele-off item (very cute item ). Will also get the orange chameleon stable and the PF in level 1 Will see if I do anything else (apart from silver steps).

Still sad about the stars would have completed the event for them.

I wonder if it is becoming a habit of introducing events without stars, BP should consider this especially when there is 2 new runes introduced that also belongs to the chameleons which needs 150 stars, the event is fine and the rewards are ok, but I was waiting something better, I guess after waiting for months and the excitement, it is disappointing to get a normal breeding event and a normal expected rewards like any other breeding event, should have been special.

 

I am totally uninspired by this event ..... for the first time ever !! No stars... really?... not even in the permanent quests. I have noticed a shift over to giving Bahamarama ep's, givers and cloud rows over time and a reduction in stars as well, but surely any event should offer rewards in either stars, Bahamarama ep's or Banana's. For the higher level players the ep's given will make very little impact on the speed at which they level up to get that 'one' star bonus. I had been looking forward to the event and stocked up on those little green lizards in happy anticipation of something interesting and more in line with the events that BP have offered in the last six months or so. I may breed some of them if I have nothing better to do, but will not be spending any real money on power feed to do this.

 

I think I'll only give it a partial go if there is a "Twin Day". Don't like wasting PF.

 

Not for me this one unless, as mentioned before, it coincides with a BBD. Will just spend time stocking up and to 'cap' it all off I will miss most of MM because of work. Suppose cant have everything.

I am going with chookie on this one. Will sit it out. Really disappointed by the lack of stars in events lately. There is so much more to open on the tree...

No stars?!?!? Really? This is becoming an unpleasant habit, especially given that new runes have been introduced at the same time. I haven't opened everything I want on the tree, and depend on the FSQs and related event quests to get more stars. Without them, there is nothing in the coming permanent quests to tempt me into completing them, and very little in the event quest that seems worthwhile. I'll only be breeding if there is a BBD (as usual), but will likely sit out most of the quest itself. It's a pity, I usually enjoy them.

Hello, I agree with all that has been said. All the built up anticipation and excitement awaiting the breeding event of the introduction to the chameleons has gone down the drain. This event just feels like any other breeding FSQ minus the STARS! The rewards for completing the quest is not worth it. I am still working in Baha to open up the lychee tree, so I have to buy the chameleon feed and on top of that make loads of powerfeed therefore it's too expensive to try for this event. This was a big disappointment. With that said, I am also unhappy with the no stars given for the chameleon breeding FSQ.

 

I'm not sure there is much point in continuing to work on the island to get the GB, to open the lychee, to make the food, to raise the chameleons, to breed the chameleons, to donate to the FSQ, AND wait around for the necessary drop in order to build the workshop to get NO STARS. At All!?! I'm sure there are some much higher level players who have a ton of stars that won't miss 'em, but we are not all high level players.

I'm out.

Hey can someone tell me what these new runes are you're all talking about please? I just had a quick look on the tree but couldn't find anything new.

 

The Runes referred to are in the FAQ, and are for the higher level breeding chameleon and for the power feed and basic chameleons breeding pack. I for one will not be investing these stars in order to get nothing back.

Runes will be available once the quest/breeding starts....

 

Well, what can I say apart from to echo the above. I have decided to cash in on the FOCD and sell my chameleons. I need stars to increase my water tank to take full advantage of the animal feed cloud row, so you give me 1 event and 2 FSQ with no stars. To tops that off the prizes are not worth it. I may go for the BEP giver but only if there's a baby boom and as for an incentive to buy power feed, I see none. BP's loss - you really didn't think through the full implications of this one.
