So you still are getting snow and it's spring... When does normally stop snowing in your countries?
Today a warm and sunny day... the weather forecast predicts heavy rain on the weekend.

8)Arielh - In the US, because it is a large country, it stops snowing depending on where you live. Some places do not normally even get snow - like southern California (northern CA does get snow) and Florida. In the Northeast where I am, it usually stops sometime in March, with an occasional snow in April.
Right now we still have a lot of accumulated snow on the ground. Some of it has melted, but it still keeps snowing - although the last snow we had was mixed with freezing rain and sleet. This morning there is a crunchy coating of ice, snow, and sleet on the roads, but warmer and cloudy this afternoon, also with a bit of sun peeking through once in a while.

    Tomorrow?? Yep - more light
    snow flurries!o_Oo_O

Hi Ariel - in the UK, by mid-February the West Midlands is usually done and dusted with snow, so this is unusually late. Although we haven't had proper snow in a very long time.:(

WooHoo, it got to 44 degrees F today. People were out in shorts and eating outside on restaurant terraces. It will still be some time for all the snow and ice to melt, but it's a good start.

Arielh, I haven't been on this thread for a few days but normally the snow ends by the end of March but last winter it dragged on into April so one can only hope. ;) Like farmlily said it depends on where you live although a lot of states seemed to get unusual weather this year. It will be in the 40's here this week (YAY!!) and although my house has had any leaks from all the ice and snow on the roof, my daughter's house is a different story. So now when I go daily to babysit I empty bowls if any water is in them so the animals won't drink it. About 10 days ago I went in the playroom to gather any dishes or cups and heard a strange sound. Finally noticed the water coming from the ceiling in a slow but steady stream. Funny thing is it was cold (10 or below outside) so I don't see how it was melting. Guess the landlord might be putting new shingles on this summer ;):pxD

I live in Central Coast, Australia. It is 26 at the moment and humid. Around here it can get between 5 - 36 C (41 - 96.8F ). Just watered my orchids. A lot of the orchids I grow are drought resistant because of where they normally grow and also the climate we have here in Australia.

4.1? Are you sure it wasn't just a big truck going by? (lol)

but seriously, weather has NO impact on Earthquakes. There is such a thing as tornado weather and Santa Ana winds do bring fires, but not earthquakes.. sorry.

Hey Ariel, I can and have gotten plowable snow in the middle of April. When I was a kid living "down south" it would snow on Easter Sunday. Where I'm at now it can snow in April, melting with lots of rain in May and be 90 degrees F with 90% humidity in June. We don't get spring here, we call it mud season. ;)

At the moment we are getting a windy snowy mix. Sounds like the things on the front porch are going to fly away!

I see many of you still having snow! Me on the other side I wait for the day swimming in the sea again:p Last year it was in mid April but I don't know for this year...

After a whole rainy week now it's a beautiful day, sunny and warm.

It's Spring Break here and all the kids are out of school. We have a lot of College students that visit for the beach. High today will be 81F. It's been beautiful weather lately.
Arielh, My daughter and grandson were at the beach yesterday, the water was still a little cool but nice.

JJenks it sounds amazing no school and swimming!!:D This Spring Break how much will it last?
We won't have school for 2 weeks in Easter and the next week on Tuesday and Wednesday because 25 of March is a national holiday.
Maybe in Easter the weather would be better because this weekend will start raining again! The weather this year is very strange! Usually on spring we never get rain:wuerg:
