    Yes, it's very true..
As I have "Dropper Hammer" refinement, I have wasted 653,800 strawberries for what I want. A lot of people will laugh at me for those ridiculous numbers only for the refinement... Who cares?
But right now, I can easily find hammer. I think it was worthy!

    My combo : trophy(ies) + special helper rune + refinement + harvesting = tools

If we can read more people feedbacks about San Gigantica Express mini event, someone will like nor dislike its results. Because it was a gamble too...
What I see the statement of Dev's plans about refinement : NO PAINS NO GAINS.

    To all my fellow farmers:
    • If you want to do the plant refinery: make a good plan, keep strong and never give up whatever the results. Just try and try again, until you got what you want. Want to discuss about it with me, please open new topic about refinement. I will share my experience what I have. It is not appropriate from OP's subjects.
    • If you do not want, just ignore my replies.

    Thank you in advance.

PS. If swearing could give you something, then get on as you like.

    Hi SillyGuy

I do loads of Refinements on Crops as the outcome really does help get the get extra tool drops of certain tool used in the Refinement slots as we can have upto 5 Refinements at any one time

What I cannot Believe you have wasted 653,800 Strawberries SillyGuy it a Maths Error as i Managed to get Refinement of Hammer on Strawberries for way lot less crops than that. Also when you not get the refinement you are seeking you get back many strawberries from the process

My Method is to use Water Refinement and tool boost refinement of that crops,as you can enhanced the water effectiveness of using water on that Crop Between 15% to 35% Effectiveness depending which crop you are refining

    Formula I used is

    • Animal and Crop Trophies
    • Living Legend Rune
    • Special Helper Rune
    • Water Effectiveness Refinement
    • Tool Booster Refinement
    • and only if by all means use any Howie Donuts you may have too
    • THEN Harvest your crops....Then you will see alot more of Refined Tools that are needed to Make Production Pens

Sadly there isnt any Great Refinements to boost your Bricks and Roof Tiles that are needed to open up an new Crafting Skill......;)

If you click on the question mark on the top right corner of the screen, click the first left button and go down the left side of the page you will see a list of people that sent you gifts. You can send them back what they sent you... just check the sections of the gift area. Or just send the 5 people that sent you gifts a toolbox [under gardening]. As Mir mentioned it doesn't take anything from your stores. But you can only send 5 gifts per day. Sending animals sounds nice but it only gives an animal that one can click on a few times for experience and they really don't give much ep [experience points].

The forum has a nice section on the various trades. I picked confectioners just because I couldn't get enough hammers to build the 3 buildings one needs to produce products for florist. I wanted florist cause I like growing flowers:) I've finally got the paint factory and feather factory built [rage spent way way too many bb's] but still need tons to build the guano factory. Anyway the confectoners doesn't need factory products until way high in levels. Good luck with the bakery! It helps me to remember that this is just a slow game and it just takes time to make progress.

I hear you about wanting Baha points though.... its so very very slow at first.

Thank you so much for mentioning this! I had no idea there was such a thing! I'm now going to be in the strawberry growing [and refining] business!!!!

    Hi Mooboy (ajjjg),
Thank you for enlightening about Refinements. :)

It's not math error. It was 934 trials of 700 strawberries each time for what I did/wanted. I didn't say what I want, so that a little confusion to understand.
Those numbers were to unlock all of 9 refinements on strawberry, included to gain some stars from greenhouse. This was what I wanted at that time.

I'm sure you do not need 653,800 strawberries if your main focus is ONLY for "Dropper Hammer" refinement. ;)

Long time ago, there was a guide for refinement thread in the old forum, written by Arrouquelas. Why do not we write again to help many farmers here, Mooboy? :music:

There are so much things about refining business, d5aisy. Hopefully there is someone who is more experienced than I can explain. Good luck...!! :inlove::D

You're right SG, I remember it, too. It was really a very comprehensive guide to all the refinements. Maybe if we ask nicely, Arq would be willing to re-post it. :music: (I think Teddy said it would be ok for the original authors to re-post their guides on the new forum.) There are some excellent refinements to be gotten, and I think it'd be really helpful to have as a reference.
Back on topic...Good luck with your new bakery feelfree2win.:)

People usually abbreviate the names of artisan products, so if you ever come across an abbreviation and you don't know what it stands for, try going through the list of artisan products and see if it matches up with anything. Each letter would correspond to the first letter of each word in the product name.

To reply to someone, click reply at the bottom-right corner of the post you want to reply to. This will quote the entire post. Then scroll back down to the comment you were writing and delete most of what was quoted in between the quote tags (looks something like
[ QUOTE ] and [ / QUOTE ] without the spaces), leaving only the parts that you are specifically replying to. You have to do this because full quoting of posts are against forum rules.
You can quote multiple people in a single post by clicking reply on all the posts you want to quote. :)

    Did someone call me? :music:xD

I still have it in my computer. It needs just a little bit of improvement now that I know a few things that didn't know back then. Plus every piece of information that everyone can lend, I'm sure it can be very useful to anybody. Either newbies or old timers. Refinement are still one of the underrated features of this game... :(

But I'll just copy-paste tomorrow if there's no objection from anyone.
Now it's 3 am in my side of the globe and I need to sleep... ;)

That Good to Hear Arq, As you made serveral Great Postings under the old Forum. As I let you take your time to revise posting into this new Forum regarding to Refinements.

I am on of those who do refinements all the time, it all depends how each farmer perceive this, into it own Strategy Game Play.

Such as Making the Most of Supergrow on certain crops, or water effective or Certain Crops or Even Enhance the drop rate of certain tools. There are Three Crops that have refinements to boost the need of Sugar, Salt or even Herbals

Mushrooms, Blueberries and Crop Squares have a Refinement to Boost your Drops of Salt this can be used in Conjunction with Pretzel or Venus Fly Feast Buffs

Pumpkins, Lilies and Kphlrabi have a Refinement to Boost your Drops of Sugar this can be used in Conjunction with Obatzda, Beady Eye Jelly Buffs

Canola, Oyster Mushrooms and Onions have a Refinement to Boost your Drops of Floral Wires this can be used in Conjunction with Summer Bouquet Buff

There are Newbie Farmers who like to do crafting but do not have many Salt, Sugar or Floral Wire Trees or None of these Trees as we can no longer get these from Secret Seeding Events. Therefore Refinement is the only Alternative option to Enhance drops of Salt, Sugar or Floral Wires. Rather that using These Trees

I would love to have some Herbal Trees :p:p:p but they dont exist YET !!!

    I don't think so, d5aisy. ;)

Just popped by to say the guide is not at all forgotten. Quite the opposite.
I have been working on it. And it's really in an advanced state. Unfortunately, it's going to take much time than I thought.
It will have less "talking" but on the other side there will be more comparative charts, especially about time reducing.
Because I'm not at home at weekends, I can't work on it from another computer. Hence, it won't be finished before sunday night. Hopefully, either sunday night or monday, I will post it.
Please, I apologize in advance and thank you for your patience.
Happy farming and good luck with the refinements!:)

And I have had wonderful luck! I got the hammer drop on my second try of strawberry refining:) :) :)

So no worries and no hurry.... it would just be so nice to have one sometime:)

I don't remember much of my results on refinement, but this is the only one I remember: Hammer drop was my last and painful research on strawberry!
So I know how much luck you had!;):D

I hope this is not the wrong place to ask: I was in the forum yesterday and found a list of links that SillyGuy gave in response to someone asking questions. And now I have been looking (and learning all sorts of useful information:D) for a very, very long time without success-.-. I am looking for the posts that gave information on which products to buy to help you level-up in the confectionary

Lavender jam is often a good option :) It gives 125 trade points.

Depending on your market, eggnogg might be a better buy, gives 100 trade points.

In the FAQ you will find the list of all products and how many points they give, then you can compare with the market price to find the best option :)
