I spent 6695 stars to completely unlock the Tree of Wisdom (before Chameleon) and have 40 stars left......That this event doesn't give stars, because there is a new idea how to manage stars is fine......unless the new breeding animal appears as a gift and as breeding rune asking for a total of 155 stars....I'm at level 96 and the only Society Quests where I could gain stars from are high level breeding quests (unlikely that I gain stars there in the near future) or I have to gain stars from leveling up....also a quest that will take a long time.....I don't want to think of how lower level players will have to deal with this shortening of available stars. The next step taken to make this more a dread than fun is hiking up the tool requirements.......Zen Rakes and Scrap Metal were hard to obtain, and I'm sure the Drip Tank will not be easier to collect....so why double the required amount for the base stable?

The new chameleon breeding added two runes to the tree that require 155 stars but the intro quest offered none. Those runes were not available to those who needed them at the time they needed them most because they didn't have the stars to get them.
I've been playing the game for a year and I've only be able to open 3 of the 17 breeder starting packs and 6 of the breeding runes (also 17 available). I was lucky enough to get the chameleon pens in the earlier event and had enough chameleons to complete this event. Anyone that couldn't get them early was limited to waiting for the pens to be on sale in the shop or purchasing the chameleons at high prices. Not a problem for those that had been in the game for a long time, big problem for those that had only been in the game for 3-6 months. You are alienating the people you want to become long time game players. Is that what you really want to do?

First of all, thank you for explaining about the stars. It is good to hear what you are planning even if it is not what we would like.

But stars are a big motivation for me to do the event quests, and for many other players too, based on the feedback here. So if you remove the stars from event quests, I would like to see better rewards. The rewards for this quest was much the same as for the Spectre of the opera quest minus 36 stars :( Which really does make a difference for me.

In general, with the event FSQ there are always some steps I have completed mainly for the stars. Without the stars I will want better rewards to finish the whole event. The silver steps one has to do, and in the past I have often completed the lower level gold and diamonds to get 5 stars. Without those 5 stars, there should be a good prize at every diamond step. I really like to finish events, please give me good enough prizes to do so :)

Other than the stars, the event was fine, like the other new breeding animal quests. A BEP item for shipwreck bay (without a cloud row) is much appreciated :D

Thank you for putting stars back in the permanent chameleon/bioglue quests! We have been heard! :)

Putting the stars back in the chameleon quests is a great first step but I really wish you'd reconsider the not having stars as event-awards in the future. On this farm I'm at level 81. I don't have all that many doable permanent quests left so I won't be getting stars from there, yet I have plenty of runes left to open. And you keep adding more. If there are no stars as awards from events, where will I get them??

I've been playing Farmerama off and on pretty much from the start and have several farms, most of which are abandoned now because I get bored once I get to a certain level and the game starts slowing down. I've payed for harvester subscriptions, BB-packs and PF on all of those farms. The thing is, without enough stars to open up useful runes and all areas, there's no incentive for me to start a new farm once I get bored with this one. Once I feel done with my current farm there will be no reason for me to return or spend money on Farmerama again because the lack of stars in the beginning will slow the early fast and fun part of the game down to being dull right from the start.

I also think that the chameleon designs could have been improved to be able to tell the differences. My suggestions are: Put a baseball cap on the Coach Chameleon that says "Coach" and put a numbered racing bib on the Sporty chameleon with an entry number on it. Here is a picture from my inventory with most of the new chameleons.

I like @CaliChrome's suggestions. What about a mask for the Ninja Chameleon? I agree they need a bit more to them to tell them apart easier.

I'd also like to say I'm pleased the stars have been returned to us...too many players unhappy with that idea but they've been heard and had a very quick response also! Thanks BP!

Thank you for putting the stars back in. So far, I have spent 5660 stars and need more than 1000 more to open all the current runes. I've been playing for 3 years and have always been very motivated by star rewards. I know that you (BP) have been changing the game quite a bit lately -- be careful not to throw out the good with the bad.

Thank you once again for the stars -- please do not ever consider taking them away again!!!!!

I don't know about anyone else, but I think the drip tank drops are broken:(. I've had trees and pens out since Saturday, and haven't received a single drip tank -.-. I understand they're rare to begin with, but this is bordering on mythical, as in, do they really exist :wuerg:xD. Was able to get the 7 drip tanks I needed to build a basic bio glue lab thru farm society quests, thankfully, otherwise would be a very long time before able to build.

I add my thanks also for returning the stars to the permanent quests.:) Need to be able to get them somewhere if they aren't going to be included in event prizes anymore.

I couldn't take part to the event. I hadn't a lot of chameleons. I think this breeding event introduced very early. It should have been after players with 1 or 2 chameleon stables could have gathered an sufficient amount of these animals.
I noticed stars weren't as rewards in the start. It wasn't fair for players who need them.

I am quite happy that stars were brought back. As for the intro event... I think it was overall disappointing, but partly because we had high expectations and partly because of the lack of stars and other rewards. In the future, maybe don't have such a big build-up. Also, I remember one event (maybe donkeys?) where you gave out pens right off. That might be better than offering them as a reward for another event, because offering large numbers as prizes sets up high expectations. Also, the long time between us winning the pens and
the event meant a lot of newer players, particularly players at or near the "doable" level feel cheated (that is, those too low to have won the pens when first offered, but who are now well enough along that they, in other circumstances, would be able to do it).

I completed this event, but just because its a no-repeat. Other things offer more, but are always there.

And, as I have said many times before... slow the events down just generally.

I would have liked it better if chameleon breeding was introduced in February. The big number of stables I won in January made me expect breeding to be introduced quite soon. Winning those stables should (in my opinion) have been an advantage, to be better prepared for the breeding. But because of the long wait, they made very little difference.

And as woody said, very disappointing for those who were too low level to participate in the babysitter event, but reached level 66 before chameleon breeding was introduced.

The odds of winning a powerball lottery are 1 in 175,223,510. Did BP decide to use that same formula for drip tank drops?
What good is the Bio Lab upgrade? I tried the XXL tool boxes like everyone else and after opening 12 tool boxes all I have is a TON of scrap metal and a bunch of queen bees!

What really irks me is the same ole total lack of communication, if you want to make the drops for upgrade & workshop extremely rare and a huge challenge for us then why not come out and say so in advance. Tell us that's the plan and avoid the player frustration, I don't mind a challenge in fact I like it but right now I'm just totally frustrated with the whole thing.
