New Animal and Quest

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying! Yeah, I don't think there will be either, but I'm wondering if BP had that in mind when deciding the requirements for the quest

I too belong to that second category but not the first and I share your worries about the future of the game, Aluntino. What I don't get, is why BP (and pretty much everyone else also relying on microtransactions) don't realize greed is not the way to go and will lose them potential revenue rather than maximize it. These are virtual goods. There's absolutely no reason for them to be stingy as generally players (especially those who keep playing year after year) are willing to spend more money on a game if they feel like they get something worthwhile for it. I've never considered quitting (only taken an hiatus every now and then), but I'm definitely not willing to put money into the game no matter what so if things continue to head in this direction, I will have to seriously consider joining those who never do.

EDIT: And it has been made a permanent quest with stars added. Thanks for listening, BP! At least now I know I'll get that platypus workshop eventually, which suits me just fine as I don't mind it taking some time.

 

saltypixel, where did you see it will be a permanent quest? A question was answered that stated it was an event and no stars awarded. EDIT: Sorry, I see it now!

Sorry, SweetCassiopeia: I didn't translate all but the reference to the 49 BBs for the whole bunch of 7 platypuses because I didn't think it necessary --> the full list of requirements, totalled, in English, is as follows:

75 Topi --> 75 mice
75 Gatti --> 75 cats
45 Farfalle --> 45 butterflies
45 Galli --> 45 roosters
45 Piccioni --> 45 doves
35 Cicogne --> 35 storks
25 Lupi --> 25 wolves
20 Uccelli kiwi --> 20 kiwi birds
7 Ornitorinchi --> 7 platypuses

Transforming the "event" quest into a permanent one is an altogether different matter. I'm glad they came back to their senses.

 

Wow, they made that change quickly! They saw our responses and changed it into a permanent quest within a few hours! And we get stars for it!!!

Well, good to see the new animal is being introduced now and that we get time to complete it I would have had no idea where to get the kiwi's and storks and all the other rare animals on such short notice for a reasonable amount of CC's...... Good change

Now, next step... keep the cat prices down Darn, I could sell two cows to buy one cat, but I'm thinking this might not be the case anymore. I'll have to keep an eye on the market. That's for sure! Otherwise, I've got a cat kennel, so as long as I can buy cow's milk, instead of the cat for the cows I sell, I can at least still get the cats
The only stable I don't have yet, is the Kiwi stable. I was extremely lucky at the Farm Wheel and won a Butterfly house today (YAY!!!!!) and the rest I already had.
I'm guessing the prices for Kiwi's will go up, instead of down with introducing this new animal.

I guess the earlier rumors about the stable pack were quite right Hmmm.... To buy or not to buy, that's the question. 630 BB's for the pack .... that's a hell of a lot money...... Is there someone here who has the winning lottery ticket for me to cash?

 

First, the platypus is not introduced to the market yet, and I do not think they are going to do that soon, may be few days after the event, so the chance to buy platypus from the market to donate to the quest is eliminated here.
then it is shown now at the bottom of the quest requirement and under the statement that this quest was meant to be very hard, the amount is 49 BB for each platypus, so total of 343 BB have to be paid to get the workshop, or buy the package and pray you are lucky to get another platypus stall in the first round you plant some secret stables, because it is very hard to be on the computer every six hours to harvest the stall for 2 days continuous, provided the PF was used, so yes, it is clear that they are pushing us to spend BBs to do this event. I agree with what Aluntino said, it is an extreme effort by BP to make us spend to get these new animals.

Edit : now things have changed, there is a chance to get the workshop with this new announcement.

As the image in the Italian FAQ clearly shows -see my post in the previous page-, the 49BBs would be for the whole bunch of 7 platypuses, not per each of them.

But there's no need to pay anything if, now that the quest was transformed into permanent, one can wait to get the platypus pen till they'll become less rare, in a future Mystery Stable edition.

I did not meant that you are wrong, and it was not an answer to your post, it is just what I saw on the Faq, and I did the calculation before I read this thread, to see the cost while I was considering buying the package (630 + 343), and at the time I wrote that the new announcement was not out yet, just after I wrote it, I found about the announcement, that's why I edited, If they did not change that, it was a very high cost that exceeds my limit since I am not a patient person when it come to games and I am not a lucky person at least with this game, I was really upset because I am planning to go home for vacation, I had been out for two and a half years and there is a lot of expenses and gifts I have to buy.

No worries: I didn't take it as a correction to me -anyway, I always welcome any corrections-. I just wrote it as a way to get that clear for everyone. But I wonder now if, now that the quest was converted to permanent, payment for the total of 7 platypuses will be kept as low as 49 BBs: I suppose not).

 

We are all looking at our own lottery tickets to see if we have a winner so we can buy!

That's okay. I hadn't seen the English post at that point. (I logged in just before it was posted and hadn't refreshed so it wasn't prominent and I didn't have the notices for it.) I was only confused because the "rumors" had pictured a duck and a beaver but not the platypus. Poor hint especially as the platypus had already been identified by that time. So I had three animals to pick from. Problem solved.

 

It looks like a normal pen to me but they could be could be making something in the pool.

Back on topic: I love the workshop! It's cute I'm so glad it's become a permanent quest instead of an event, cause I'd love to get my hands on the workshop someday!

 

It'll be some time before I get to the Guess Who FSQ and thereby the workshop (which I adore!), but perhaps I'll get one in the next mystery stables event (I assume it can't be won during this one?). At least I have a couple of platy pens now.

Next new animal added, I'm hoping will actually be the elephant updated and made breedable. So many teasers and still nothing. Refuse to give up hope though, and am hoarding elephants and GBs in anticipating just because I'm stubborn.
