    Hello lovely Farmers :)

Please keep in mind that this is a feedback thread - do not turn it into a debate. The opinions and feelings will always be mixed, not even once will the entire community have the same opinion.

Ok I want to apologize for my outburst,i was just frustrated with what had occured in my blind greed to get everything. I do not pay RM for the game cause like everyone else i must deal with RL and real finances, and I have learned a valuable lesson in viewing all the feedback on this event,i will plan on saving my BB's for something really special, and just let the game encourage me to play smarter and be more enjoyable. I also found out the 2 hardest items to achieve is BB's and PF. So from now on I will save up BB's and not use all my PF in one Baby Boom event and keep the mill churning, these new quests in the FS will have to wait on me to collect,so again sorry for my outburst of anger, hope i didn't hurt anyone.

Oh, gretchncliff923 :p But who could blame you? It is absolutely normal to be frustrated about getting "bad results", stables you are not looking for. And we all buy the wonder trees / stables expecting the best results, of course ! So there's no need to apologise :D we all feel your pain.

    Best regards,

I have a lot to say on the subject, so I will try to keep it organized :p

Firstly, I am personally happy that the quest is now permanent :)

But I would not have been upset if it had been kept as a short term quest. I don't have any of the animals required for the final step, but I could still have made it if I wanted to. Wolf, kiwis and storks are available in the market for CC. And there was the option to pay 49BB instead of donating platypuses. Although I am generally opposed to paying BB to finish quests, in this case it is not too unreasonable. I can buy three wonder stables for 45BB (perhaps getting rooster, cat & mole), or pay 49BB for a very rare platypus workshop. Not unreasonable. I am sure there are many non paying players who would have been able to do that too. So although this short time quest would have been targeting those who spend quite a lot of RL money on wonder stables, it doesn't categorically exclude non paying players. (Please note that I am not saying that the quest would have been doable for all players).

I think it would have been fine to have this a special hard short term quest. But I would definitely not like it if it became a regular feature with every wonder sale.

I think the idea of having a short term quest with the wonder sales (once in a while, not every time) could be fun. I have been thinking of an easier version, that would still be challenging for a lot of players:
    • Remove the platypus requirement and make it a 6 day event instead of 2 days
Other adjustments could be made too, but those are the most important. Lots of players (including me) don't have the wolf and kiwi stables yet. So I would be encouraged to buy more wonder stables to get some of those. Also, the award of a platypus workshop would be a strong incentive to get the platypus stable.

I also agree with the many players who say that it is too much with a new rare animal/tree every month. When I started this farm almost 1.5 years ago, there were lots of trees/stables no longer available (except G&T). That number is growing fast, I can't help thinking of those who join the game now. And for those of us who have most of them, it is hard to find the space to put them out.

Another suggestion: Instead of including a new tree/stable with every edition, you could bring back an old tree/stable every second wonder edition (bring it back only for that edition). So that there would only be three new trees and three new stables every year.

While I like that it is a permanent rather than a temporary quest, every new quest lately relies on 'new magic' animals. We need more quests that use regular animals and fruits and crops.

Personally, I would love to see SEVERAL quests that use old regular animals but give special pens as rewards. That would help people who do not pay money to at least get a shot at a new animal and it would help those of us who are sitting on a barn full of stuff we do not need. I also like getting wonder stables and trees as rewards, but just feel that we should have quests that do not ONLY need the new magic animals. We could have used a few Baha quests that give golden bananas instead of one more with magic animals, or even one with some timed events.

Also, if we are going to need to buy a bunch of wonder stables to get the new magic animal, we at LEAST need a mechanism for getting rid of stuff we do not need. I like the San Gigantia Express, but it needs to be more regular and you need more than one pen at a time with an hour wait.

This game is getting more and more like gambling, which is not my favorite.

Overall, I desperately think we need more variety in the quests. I like doing them, I like getting the stars, but the focus needs to shift from magic animals.

I agree that wonder trees/stables seem to be very common events at the moment, to the detriment of 'free' players and the annoyance of those who pay money. BP feeling a bit cash-strapped? I'd counsel against pushing your luck! I'm seriously considering a change of tack from fast money player to slow freebie. The whole 'wonder' thing (especially just after some high PF requirements) does make it harder to pretend you're not spending real cash on all this. I'd also echo sentiments that the recent chameleon permanent quests give incredibly disappointing rewards for such a high-level animal. All in all, I could happily settle for a 'retro-month', with a long weekend of moonlight mania, a few days of the old-style trade and gift, and even cuckoo breeding rather than what's starting to feel like a bombardment of 'magical' animals. Just some re-runs of stuff, take the pressure off. Feeling quite nostalgic for good old-fashioned farming. I wouldn't even mind a week of double ep/harvest to just get my barn topped up again. Its getting a bit zoo-ish on my farm just lately and I feel like a rest!

I enjoyed this event very much. I bought quite a few stables this time and I'm very pleased with my results!! I agree with others we could do with some events concentrating on animals we already have and with what Mir said about it's too much having a new tree/animal every month, why not bring back an old one instead.

Hear, hear Mir85 - couldn't have put it any better. We certainly have far more animal pens and trees than we can handle in the space given.
I don't like the offer of a definite platypus for a huge number of BB's. I didn't like it with the trees either. It takes away the random chance aspect and is far too expensive. What is wrong with having to wait and try again to get a new stable/tree - much more fun ? To me this seems like a money spinner for BP, as combined with the new quests requiring new rare fruits and animals, we are being pushed to spend RL money more and more in what was originally, and still should be, an essentiallly free game. At least the new quest was changed to be a permanent one - if it had not been I would see this as a very determined effort from BP to get more real money spent on BB's. I realise that those who spend a lot help to fund this game for the rest of us who spend little or no RL money. Thanks to those who are willing/able to spend but please BP do not take this game down the one way street, of only the paying players getting the goodies in the game.
All that said the graphcs for the new animal are great as usual.

I do spend real money on this game. Not as much as some, but a regular amount. I will not buy the "guaranteed" packages because they are overpriced. If the quest had been kept as a short time event, I would not have participated in it.

Really disappointed. Bought six pens and couldn't believe it when I got a yellow chicken stall and all the others were repeats of what I have already got. Did not get the new platypus pen or any recent newer animal pens.

I agree with CaliChrome. I did not buy any pack, too much like gambling. I'll participate in this new quest, if I can buy the animals with CC or if I win one with a quest or a spin. I'm at level 91 and have as many open quest than finished one. I just progress slowly and buy the strict minimum.
