    Today it is Mothering Sunday in the UK so I wish all a very Happy Day. It is held on the 4th Sunday of Lent.
    I got beautiful cards and some flowers. Even my granddaughter, who lives with us, gave me a big bunch of Tulips.

    Note: Mother's Day is an American celebration which is held on a different day, the second Sunday in May I believe. Unfortunately a lot of our cards now say Mother's Day instead of the correct Mothering Sunday. I remember my mother getting so cross about that!

    farmerumf thank you for mention it. It is interesting to know what's happening to other countries.
    In Greece it is celebrated in May:)

    My mom has already passed so I'll just send my thoughts out into the ether...

    Maybe folks in the UK should use a pen to cross out the 's' and write 'ing" on the cards. You need a local source for Mum cards... I see a business opportunity for someone...

    My middle son found a beautiful 'Mothering Sunday' card so they are available, just hard to find! Most people here don't know the difference, they just find a card with the right picture and sentiments to suit their mother - it is the thought that counts. I guess I would not have known if my Mother had not told me.
    I hope all of the Mums had a lovely spoilt day. Unfortunately mine live too far away to see me and our local pub/restaurant was catering for 250 people today - must have been mayhem down there. It is their busiest day of the year.
