Hey everyone, I've just noticed a new FSQ-Castles in the Sand. It looks like a great quest for everyone who is further on on Bahamarama. There's some cool rewards like GB's, chopstick factories, some serious BEP and double the amount of stars!!!
    :D:inlove::D:inlove:

I haven't read it through fully yet as in my excitement had to get a thread going to share the news!! I'm quite far off being able to do this quest yet but hopefully it will please those of you who are able to. The requirements are a fair ol' whack but for those of you really high level players, I guess you guys will have a lot of this stuff in your inventories anyway???

What does everyone think to it? What about you guys who are really high level..are the requirements/rewards ratio good/bad?

Btw the quest will be introduced tomorrow Tuesday 17th March at 14:00 CET.

The requirements are High o_O but it does give those Golden Bananas :p
Step 7.....15 Circus Pandas :eek:o_O:sleepy: Guess it's the Islands new version of Soup and Friends :D

It asks for a lot of breeding animals...I think it is harder than the Soup and Friends quest (I don't have any of the diamond levels finished) only because the Soup quest asks for 1 final breeding level animal and Castle asks for more next to last level animals than it would take to make the final breeding level. Unless we get better skips from Baby boom, I see this one as remaining unfinished for me. Level 7 asks for 18 sultan camels and 15 circus pandas. The normal breeding FSQ (which I am still working on) requires 3. Big difference. I do hope it gives higher players something to work on that they may enjoy but for me it feels more than a tad overwhelming.

Pnp, your right!! I missed the Sultan camels  I just saw all those circus pandas and was in shock o_O xD
We will definitely need Much better skips for this one.

I'm OK with what I have right now for doing all silver + level5 Gold and levels1-4 Gold/Diamond tasks. Last levels higher tasks will most probably remain unfinished forever: simply not worth any efforts of mine.

We must be picky, even if we have everything. The key question is if it's worth it or if it's better to focus elsewhere.

A suggestion: apply the Red Punch measuring rule I explained in page 1 of the Bahamarama Strategies thread to assess the worthiness/reasonableness of each single task. It's not only the bred animals they are asking for, it's everything. Just an example: only the 900 anacondas they're asking for in level4 cost now around 3,6M CCs in my mkt -provided you can get them-; at my 11K CCs avg for each RP, that means 327 RPs that would yield 817500 B-EPs (for me, now, it's the equivalent to 2,5 GBs but for those at a much lower Baha level could mean 5 GBs, 10 GBs, etc.). So, be careful. This means this new quest is much more important for those in the higher Baha level range and not so important for the rest.

As I expected -that they would devise new ways to vacuum our GBs-, they've just announced 3 new trees, accessible either via GBs or BBs. 132 GBs or 660 BBs to open all of them = 5 BBs/GB. For those who can afford that, opening them using BBs is probably the wisest way to go (it is for me, at least: I have 148 GBs in stock, but I like to keep around 100 GBs at hand at all times just in case; so, I may unlock one with GBs and the rest with BBs): 660 BBs is just 30 BBs more than those required for the Mystery Stables package, BP's newest modus operandi.

In other words, probably, it's wiser not to be blinded by the shine of the GBs this new quest will reward with. Assess every single task very carefully.

I am a bit puzzled by the 12 orange chopstick factories  What is the point of that? Sure they give good BEP, they would be awesome to put out in preparation for mega EP day and happy stable day. But I wonder what will happen to the price of chopsticks. Not to mention the tools required to build 12 basic chopstick factories. Didn't BP read that I am always short of wood :cry:xDxD:p

Anyway 8) I have unlocked the statues for the things required in the first 4 levels. But even that will be a medium to long term project for me. I will take my time, not rush (unless I get bored xD) and of course take Aluntinos advice :D

Edit: Don't have lemongrass for level 3 :(

I'm in a position to do anything up to Level 6. I don't have sea grapes yet and won't for a few months more, if nothing else changes. Not sure when I'll start Sandy Castles... Don't want any of it badly enough to spend GBs. Probably stop playing before I do that.

    EDIT:
    I meant to say BBs.

I did look forward to the new trees until I saw their 'price' in both GB and BB. Way too expensive for either currency. They are more expensive than the moringa tree in the final chamber. As far as the Castle quest goes, I can comfortably do the silvers but the additional animals and breeding stock in gold and diamond will be hard and I will use Aluntino's guide to measure whether it is worth it or not. So far...I have worked on breeding the animals needed for Soup and Friends for months and still have not completed a diamond level. Additional breeding in greater numbers does not give me incentive to continue...I think I need to review my own personal farming goals and go back to finding the 'fun' and work on not getting caught up in trying to keep up with BP challenges. This may have just cured my FOCD.

I am not in a position to do any of it and I don't have any of the breeding unlocked on Baha as of yet either so for me it's a future project! I think in my excitement of seeing GB's as a reward again I perused the requirements rather quickly in the rush to tell everyone .

"Read all about it...read all about it" said in ye ol' English newspaper sellers style xD

However, given it is out of my league at the moment it is interesting to see what all you higher up players think to it and it gives players like me some food for thought!

I can do silver/gold through level 5. Then I will jut take my time on the rest.
As for the trees, they are pretty pricey. I have the GB's but I'm such a hoarder :p I'll have to think on what to do there.
I do figure they will come out with another quest requiring these trees at some time so would like to start stocking (Hoarding).
I agree with Mir, Why? 12 Chopstick factories. Maybe something requiring Island products? (More hoarding).

I know what you mean Pnp, I've got so many different projects going at the same time I feel I'm never getting anything completed.

It will be a long time before I can do anything but the very first step. Do like the fact that GBs are offered. The requirements to get them though, are tough. Will chopsticks be needed for an upcoming event? (Rhetorical question, no answer required.) :)

I overlooked that level 3 requires lemongrass, that's too bad :( I wanted at least some of those orange chopstick factories  only have 5 of them :p

The first 2 levels I'll be able to do quite soon :)

When the issue for the stars raised, they announced that they are not going to be in the events quests any more, but they will be in permanent quest and need hard work, or that's what I understood, it looks that this is BP new plan for the stars and GB, so they start giving bigger number of stars and they start also giving GB, but the price is high and need also a lot of time, and I think later there would be stars and GB packages for sale for real money, for me I like the idea of this quest but it is not a priority now, I am still stuck on the final stage of the animal trophy and every time I try to stock animals there is a new event or quest that demands a lot of animals, there is around 300k worth of animals to do for the trophy and God it is taking foreve, then the last stages of some quests, like down under wonder, just waiting on the kiwis, what a relief and picky pirates, after these I am planning on doing castles on sand beside soup and friends, let them take their time, for the new trees I am going to unlock them by BB, but not all at once, just one in the beginning, not that I can't afford, but because there is no urgency and no point to open them all at once, the island became over crowded with trees and animals that by opining a new tree it becomes a new burden, so I am going to finish the smoothie for Laura then open the moringa and prepare for Island cosmetics, after that I will concentrate on the new trees, after all this I think a need a vacation far away from Farmarama for some time, I just keep telling myself you are playing for fun but it is turning to be an obsession.

That amount of orange chopstick factories is certainly fishy. Probably, another quest on the horizon. But these extra orange factories guarantee chopsticks will be kept cheap in mkt, more than they already are.

But it is as much fishy as the recent wealth of beaver ClassicII pens (MS event) and red/orange bat roosts is, for that matter.

I think beaver breeding is around the corner.

And that some kind of new quest involving "spooky" animals is in preparation (based on those bat roosts and the prices that bred crows have consistently been reaching in my mkt in the past few weeks/two months).

I got to thinking... (yep trouble! LOL!) I bought 300/330 BBs this weekend w/ credit card. Cost me $13US. 660BBs is $26US. I will spend that for a REAL tree. NOT for an imaginary tree. Not until I win big in the lottery.

As for almost any FSQ released during the past year plus. I've barely started them, if at all. FOCD is

I wondered what was going on when I won 2 red bat roosts on the wheel.
I looked at the quest and nearly choked on my tea - shipwreck is still being worked on so I think this new one will go to the bottom of the pile.

I do not want to bother any new FSQs that given by BP.
No rush! Enjoy your life and have fun!

Everything is more complicated.. Thank you sooooooooo muuuccchhhhh BigPocket !! 8)8)

Oh yeah... There would be a new FSQ required a lot of chopsticks, I assumed it would be Soup n' Friends 2:)
