EEK... not sure I want to be first here, but later I won't have time....

First, I really like the graphics, the 2 event flowers are quite nice. I often forget to mention that because, I think, we are rather spoiled by the design team here, but it bears mentioning.

I do like the fact that the team is creating events geared toward higher level players. I am not sure that these recent events offer a reward commensurate with the demands. Wonder trees, stables are a decent prize. I am a tad spoiled there because I was able to buy the large packs just offered, but I don't begrudge those who could not the chance to get some nice pens. Folks seem mixed on whether they prefer a lottery wonder stable/tree or set offerings, so its nice to "mix it up a bit". The issue is more the other things offered. Nobody really gets why stars were eliminated, but the place to keep them out is definitely the higher level quests. If you offer them in lower quests, but not those just geared toward higher players, that might be a nice balance. I hear complaints about cloud rows, too. I am still happy to earn them, but am beginning to understand why some people are saying "too much". I don't think taking them out of rewards is the answer to that, though.. rather, I think more space or a different type of organization system is better. (that can be discussed in other threads)

That said, offering too high a reward can also skew the game further. (There is a tendency in most games to favor those who start early on, who get rewards quickly and then consistently are able to get all future rewards and stay ahead of everyone else). Since this game is essentially a group of individuals who only really compete for the yearly "top farmer" event (maybe some other isolated contests?), it matters far, far less than in other games. I am not going to keep up with farmerbroke, for example, but its not like I am in any way inhibited from progressing on my own, except when it comes to that end of year context. Off hand, I would say that "consumables" like suzy supergrow, etc may skew things less, but that is stricly my unresearched opinion.

Communication is key to making these events palatable to lower level folks. Simply labeling them "hard" helps a lot, though I would like to see that label right on the title, the news feed, because players that need that information the most are the ones least likely to go to the forums. A link to the FAQs or even just a suggestion (in red.. I liked the red highlight for the "hard" indication, that would help in news feeds as well) to go to the forum for details would help nudge people to go where they need to go would help, be proactive as well.

I also like the fact that the FAQs are appearing a tad earlier (in my perception). I have no issue at all with the fact that those of us who go to the forum get an advantage in that way. The only time I have real sympathy for non-forum perusers is in regards to newer players/lower level players who have not yet had the time to learn the game well(OK, maybe had the time, but have not effectively used it, perhaps -- some people are slower to learn than others). It is for them that I think posts in the newsfeed are helpful. Also, once someone is directed to the forum once, they tend to visit again.. or at least, they then know its there and can do it if they wish.

EDIT: Maybe its best to think of this a bit differently. This event is labeled "hard", but is it really? You do have to be at certain levels, both regular level and have the correct Baha chambers open, to complete this event. However, once you have those items, then the event is actually pretty easy. Some people are having issues with event drops, but its only early and the issue there is drops are largely uncontrollable. In truth, its not so much hard as expensive.

    I like the event :)

I have learned by now to keep some stock of (almost) everything, just in case (what I can't make/grow I buy). So all that is left is to grow the crops (don't have problems with drops). And I like growing event crops :) I also like the structure of the event, with crops&drops in the silver levels for the items and the cloud row, then other requirements for extra goodies.

The rewards are good, the items are nice, the event crops are really pretty.

I would have liked to see an additional reward in the last diamond level. Sure the drip tanks are rare now, but soon we will have enough of them. But all in all, very good :D

I'm going to state that the event would have been nice to play had it offered stars. I consider myself a high level player but I still need the stars. I will not be participating in the event because of the fact there are no stars. No motivation. This is the 3rd event I have sat out now. Needless to say I am really getting annoyed. I feel bad for lower level players who need the stars to open the much needed ruins and cloud rows. I like the rewards and would have had no problem finishing it but just can't bring myself to put in the effort without the stars. I guess it's a good thing maybe because now I won't play as much and I can start some projects I've been putting off. It is a difficult level event, which I find challenging and fun. Especially for higher level players like myself. I usually start preparing a day or so ahead of time and I have learned to hoard as much as possible for these types of events. I hope the next events will offer stars as rewards then I will participate once again.

After some thought, I decided not to participate in this event on any of my farms. The reason being the lack of stars. :cry:On this farm I wouldn't have been able to do everything regardless, but I would've been fine with doing whatever I could manage otherwise. On the other I don't think I would've had any trouble finishing all of it.
I really like mystery stables as rewards! :D:inlove: Trees as well I guess, but personally I'm not as excited by them. (but objectively they're just as good as prizes). New EP givers I'm almost always partial to, and the collector in me always crave them. Tool drops as prizes are 'meh' to me. Even the drip tanks. Although useful, it does nothing to draw me in. Baha EP on the other hand, always welcome! The requirements certainly do match the 'hard' difficulty level it's been labeled as. I don't mind that generally, but I'm a bit wary of the increasing number of events asking for breeding animals. Every now and then is fine, but I'm afraid it's a new standard being set, and that I very much resent. There's hardly ever any time for chipping away on the regular FSQ breeding quests or breeding to build coloured upgrades and workshops.

I'm sad about missing out, even if it's by choice. If there had been stars, I would have participated w/o a doubt. Please put the stars back in! I can't see myself bothering much with future events either otherwise. I know we still have them for regular FSQ quests, but that's exactly why events w/o them are not worth my time anymore. It was hard enough before balancing everything that needed to be done (FSQ, farm orders, earning cc, building pens/workshops, crops for artisan village recipes etc etc), and having stars as event awards meant that even if you took a break from regular farming to do an event, you'd also at the same time be able to work towards the runes and thus it had a big impact on everyday farming as well.

I too am sitting out another event due to the fact there are no stars. What a disappointment lately. I can't believe they are doing this. I used to be so addicted to this game; looking forward to each new event. It was so much fun to win the stars and play the event. I really worked hard on my farm to get lots of milk and get my cat food going. Moved stalls and trees around; I was all ready when . . . .they dropped the announcement that there were no stars offered. Please don't tell me that I will get enough from the FSQ. The events are why I play this game. It's like a challenge against myself. Can I do it all? Can I win all the stars? I want to open all the ruins on the Tree of Wisdom. I have lots of stuff i.e. stalls, trees, EP givers. What I don't have are STARS! How can I ever make Carrot Apple Chuntly without the ruins opened? Consider this an official protest. Please, please, please put the stars back in! Saltypixel stated it very succinctly, much better than I can, I don't see much of a future for my farm.:cry::(:cry::cry::cry:

    Hi!

While I am doing the event, I will not be completing all of it due to the lack of stars as a reward. Instead, for the first time ever, I am cherry-picking only what I really want. Without stars, many of the rewards offered are just not worth the requested donations. The lack of stars as rewards in short-time events are starting to hurt, since many of the FSQ steps are slow to complete, particularly the breeding- and product-based ones. Many of the runes that I still want to open are the ones that require high numbers of stars, which I am no longer earning because of the time-consuming nature of the remaining FSQs. Please bring back the stars for short-time events too!

I used to consider it a challenge to be as prepared as possible for each short-time event (perusing the forums every day, hoarding animals and crops, playing the market, taking part in sale-based mini-events) in order to earn as many stars as possible from completing each one. Now, that challenge is no longer there and my farm's future is looking bleak.

I hate hate hate the fact that there are no stars in this event. I didn't actually think they would be so important to me in order to finish an event but it turns out they are. It's like there is no point to do most of the levels. I mean, I'll do the silver ones because it's not that much of a hardship to grow crops and I want the cloud row, and I'll donate the animals and sakuras because I have loads of them but the rest? Why should I? I don't have a Buddah's Hand Fruit tree so those I'd have to buy, and 25k CC for a couple of Scissors? Yeah, I think not. The secret trees and stables are actually really nice prizes and I always like the party wheel tickets and I hope they'll return in future events, but are they in themselves worth a whole bunch of very expensive breeding animals? No. I don't think so. There is zero incentive for me to finish this quest and I really don't understand the reasoning behind the star-less events. So what if there are long-term players sitting on thousands of stars, I don't have that amount and I need them. Why should I be punished because of what others have?

As for the different "rare" tools. That seems to be a somehwhat misplaced reward for a Hard quest for high level players. I mean, I'm not that high a level (81) and drip tanks aside I've got loads of all of those tools, far more than I can or want to use. If you gave me a reward of say a 1000 planks, now that I could use. :p

    Tl;dr version:

+ Mystery trees and stables as rewards
    + Party Tickets as rewards

    - No stars!
    - "Rare" tools as rewards in an event geared towards high-level players. I would actually much prefer the more common ones, especially planks, because it's the lack of those that's keeping me from building stuff.

I would like to congradulate Bigpoint on a job well done. I have never ever seen a video game company that listens to its players the way you do.
    Wonderful job on

allowing people of any level to completed all the silver levels of the quest

allowing people of any level to get the delightfully cute donkey Sunshine Moonlight giving the much needed baha ep

    beautiful crop plants

giving Baha experience as a quest reward

a decent drop rate so that by the time the needed flowers are ready to be turned in we have almost enough glow cones

some easier gold and diamond steps that all can complete [reasonably priced items in the market that keep up the economy and motivation for people providing those items]

it sounds like you have correctly started giving higher level people the rewards they are happy with for high level quests

In the to be worked on area. please offer coupons for harvest helper day so we can buy a coupon for when we need it.

Please GIVE US STARS for these events:) at least for the levels that all people can complete.

Thank you for the lovely event. It is a pleasure to play your fun game:)

I like the way this event is structured.
The only really difficulty for me is to get the drops.

I wish the stars were given out for these events, because I need to open up a bunch of runes and getting the stars is difficult.

Even though I knew the event wouldn't offer stars for our efforts, and doing events is an effort for most of us, I had really hoped to see some. I plan to not do every stage of this because of this fact.

    Bring back the stars please.

This event is quite challenging but I like it. The rewards are ok but not the greatest considering we have to donate breeding animals in return for secret stables and seedlings, very little ep, cc and some tool drops? :( We have events weekly which makes it very hard to do FSQs that are very much needed for stars. Therefore without giving out stars in events makes us choose between participating in events OR doing FSQs... I love the challenges of these events and the satisfaction of being able to finish them *fingers crossed* (I have only fully finished one since I have started). I ask that BP PLEASE BRING BACK STARS to the events, that way we can still participate in events and earn stars for the runes on the tree of wisdom.

Count me out too! I am sitting out yet another event due to NO stars. I understand that higher level players don't need the stars, well poo poo. I'm sure they enjoyed getting their stars when they were low level players (like me). Why should we not have the same fun and opportunities as the others did? I personally don't like most of the FSQ (Zzzzzzzz) and have not done most of them. I need stars to advance. Lots of them (Yikes). I don't think I want to continue farming if they are only going to be given in the FSQ. NO thanks. I need 150 stars just to open the Spa. (And I wanted to do it sometime this century.) In your survey, in the theater, your questions ask if we feel we have equal opportunities to advance. From reading all of these posts, do you think we feel we have equal opportunities now? No. I know I feel cheated. And the future is looking bleak for my farm. (sigh) I really think you have a good thing going here. I've enjoyed playing the events (up-to-now.) They kept me interested and I'd check the Forum posts to see what may be coming up next. I even splurged and spent some real money once because I wanted to finish an event. (I was overexcited what can I say?) But you're your killing me here people. OK, now I'm begging, please, please, please bring back the stars.

I like the 2 crops and the 4 and 6 hour times suit my own personal farming style while I understand others may prefer 8 hours due to other commitments. I do like that the event crops and drops were kept to the silver levels and that the cloud row is also a silver level so everybody has a chance to get some nice rewards. I also like wonder trees and stables as prizes, as well as BEP and PF (always appreciated but feel it is a little low considering the three different breeding animals required). The biggest drawback to the event is the three different breeding animals. We just had chameleon breeding a couple of weeks ago...too soon to be asking for them again. It is hard to have a well balanced stock of breeding animals (a few of each kind of each level) when the majority of our Baby booms accompany a breeding event. It is difficult to accumulate enough PF to complete breeding events, FSQ, and events that call for them. I do appreciate the rare tools ( I am speculating there is a future need for them) but would have preferred the base bio lab in the chameleon breeding event rather than the tools in this one. The final level really needs a better prize than drip tanks. After donating rare fruits, large amounts of event crops/drops, and breeding stock (especially the newest addition- chameleon), it seems the final level should have a more attractive prize than rare tools. Of course, I echo the sentiments about the missing stars. We still have no idea of what the devs have in mind for players who have accumulated a lot of stars but many players still rely on stars gained from events to open runes on the tree. I suspect the majority of players still need stars. The better option would be to create something for those long time players as appreciation for their loyalty to the game than to remove the stars from all players thereby inhibiting progress in the game.

I like the four & six hour crops and also like that the event crops are only in the silver level. That is a nice change.
What I do not like are the breeding animals required. Lately every event & a lot of the quests require some type of breeding animals. This use to be my favourite part of the game (Baby Boom) but lately because of the high demand for them I am doing less & less of the breeding. It use to be a challenge to finish the breeding quests but lately it seems impossible since we are constantly using our animals for the events & quests.
The rewards though nice are rather meager for the amount of items required - by this I mean cost. I do like the mystery stalls, trees & party spins but thought they were a bit stingy with the amounts. Like others I would have prefered a pen over the tools offered. And lastly there are no stars. It would be nice to see that brought back or maybe have golden bananas sometimes.

This is quite a tough event, particularly for lower level players, but it is possible for most to get some good rewards, I think. On this farm, I didn't have many of the breeding animals but managed to buy them for about one million CCs in total. On my other lower level (83) farm, I intend to breed the required animals but I haven't yet decided whether to especially open Panda Breeding for this event (I haven't opened any breeding on this farm's island yet) - this will all depend on if I finish the rest of the event. :p

It gives all of us a challenge and enables most to get good prizes without having to sell up the whole of the farm to do it - the rewards are very good! :inlove:

On the negative side, I would like to add my voice to those who have already mentioned their dissatisfaction that no stars are given for this event. :(

Additionally, I am a little curious as to why scissors, air conditioners and oak seedlings are mixed in there with rare tools like zen rakes, scrap metals and drip tanks ... Are you trying to give us the heads up on future requirements or is it just to tease us?

The amount of crops is okay but I prefer less plant, wait, harvest, repeat but I suppose if it was too easy, I wouldn't like that either lol! :music:

All in all, I like the event and the prizes are worth the while to do the work. :)
