April Fool's day

I am sure it is too late to do this this year, but what about an April Fool's day event,

where for the duration of the event, people can place a special eatable trophy or buff that would randomize either daisies or tulips, trees and chicken pens.

Plant the crop/pen and the result will be random. The harvest time would match the orchids/chickens (easier to program that way and easier on everyone for planning purposes), but what you get, including the EP generated, would vary. Trees would be truly fun... (think of a tree that gives a cow, for example ) they could generate anything. (or just a set variety of products that trees now generate, but including special items like supergrow, milk, as well as normal fruits) Maybe mainland crops can even generate Baha crops as one of the random possibilities.

It would only last a day or two (or, given that there is a limit to the icons, maybe they could be active for several days, including both weekend and weekdays so everyone has a chance).


You could even go REALLY crazy and have completely random results of most anything. A chicken pen might yield a donkey.. or carrots, or milk -- maybe even a really rare CAC etc. If it was just for one-2 lower level pens (chickens or chickens and rabbits), wheat or wheat and daisies, etc. , utterly optional and with a limited number, I think it would be rally fun and not too difficult to manage. (the "optional" part is why I suggest a trophy as opposed to just unpredictable results for a time).

Anyway... I think it would be fun, thematic, and something different.

 

@ woody, sounds interesting, not sure I would wish for anything random though, our poor mods got to field lots of steaming posts when bp did the lava april fools thing. So many people thought they were losing crops~ it seems that around april fools people tend to serious up. lol
just saying I wouldn't wish anything to add extra stress/ trouble shooting on our wonderful mods.

 

Well, that is one reason I suggested trophies instead of just a random result.. only those who want to participate would.

It could also be something like a special feed or water that you could apply to the pens, crops and trees you wish to participate. Or, if its a trophy, it could only impact designated crops.

I specified chickens and daisies for crops (daisies just because flowers are springy and its not a high level crop, which I think is important to keep this fun), but not a tree. However, it could be just for apple trees as well.. or apples and pears, etc. If it were something you had to apply to the tree, though that would not matter. This would only matter if it were a trophy that would impact a whole field or farm, for example.

And, they could give as few as 10 or have a trophy that would basically make the results "unlimited" but for just a limited time (say, one cycle of growth, for example, if not a full 24 hours)

anyway.. I still don't know if they would do it, but I think it would be fun.

April Fool's day in RL sometimes it is so interesting because everyone tries to fool each other. In our school we try to fool our teachers

 

they normally play some sort of April fool, but the effects are normally just visual rather than actually effecting anything.
But this really would be fun

 

Yes, like the first time with the aliens ... some farmers were convinced they were stealing their animals and crops lol! There has always been something, you just have to be wary - don't believe everything you see!

I think this sounds great - how about just an april fools crop - that way plant it if you want to participate and don't if you you don't want to be surprised.
It could go on for the day and it would be nice to see a complete giveaway across the board like recipes, cc, bb, powerfeed, crops, tree fruit, animals, colored animals, products and trade items. All things mainland, baha and moonlight crops/items. So like a rare thing like pinkie pie recipe and other things that are no longer available might be found - like an Easter egg hunt.
I think I might have spring fever all this silly talk - a girl can dream
