    Froggy ear rings.... um.... OK.
Yes they look EXTREMELY expensive. I'm pretty sure a box of Cracker Jacks was involved. Talk to Barnyard Bubba (the FA secretary), but be firm - he's becoming attached to them because they make him feel "pretty". If he says he doesn't know what you're talking about tell him he's lying through his tooth.

Just tell him to order something from the Victoria's Secret "Burlap" collection.... that usually works with him.

HAHAHHA No he said hes going through "The Change" ? I;m not sure what that is but "Burlap" isn't doing it for him anymore he wants lace ....... You better speak to him ..... lol

burlap...cheap lace... what's the dif? Both are really itchy/scratchy. You gotta do better than Victoria's Secret if you want lace that isn't itchy/scratchy...

  7. BeeDance

    BeeDance Padavan

The burlap collection has lace as well.... it's made from jute....

He may be confused; assure him he can still wear it like a man: You know - wear it for a week, 2nd week flip it inside out, 3rd week, turn it around, 4th week flip it inside out again. Some of the young ladies at Victoria's Secret fail to explain that to guys. I think that's why less of us are willing to shop there. Just saying...

Of course we do have to be careful with Bubba. When he filled out the application for employment with FA there was that one line:

    Sex? M-F

He asked, "I understand Monday-Friday... what about the weekends?"

BeeDance! In RL do you write jokes for stand up comics? If not, you may want to think about that as a side line.

I would spend much more time on Farmerama, but my real life allows me 2-4 hours a day only. And usually lots of interruptions. I have a 2 year old daughter and a full time job that doesn't allow farm time.... Between putting little Miss Brooke to bed and going to bed myself is my general farm time. Hopefully with a harvest/replant in the morning before work, but that doesn't always work out.

No I don't. I have honestly thought about going to an open mike night at a local comedy club but have never had the nerve. I'm not afraid to speak in front of audiences - I've spoken to crowds in excess of 1,000 before as well as 200-500 MANY times. I'm just afraid I'd forget what's funny in the spotlight.
In RL though, everyone and everything I come in contact with is fair game. Walmart really is a great place to "get material" watching the stupidity of people. Watching people in doctor's waiting rooms, traffic jams, and pumping gas is fun.... it amazes me what we all do without thinking about it.
Earlier today I managed to trip at a curb of a shopping center and take a spill into the road (true story). I didn't get hurt but people all came to check on the old guy. With the concerned people all closing in I turned to my brother and told him, "Don't tell Mom! She'll want to know what I spent the money she gave me for grace and poise lessons on." It managed to get people to let us go on our way without doting on us.

I have a medical condition that severely affects how much I can do. I'm able to still do nearly anything I want but for very short periods of time before I fatigue (part of why this game is a good fit for me). It causes a lot of frustration, depression, and anxiety. I can let it bring me down or I can rise above it, I can stay on medications that cause lots of undesired side effects, or I can change what I can, accept the things I can't. I choose to find the fun and funny side of what goes on in life. My philosophy says the world is really messed up I can't change the whole world - it's too big. BUT I Can change my little corner of it and try to make that little part better. Hopefully a bit of that rubs off on those I come in contact with; if so the world is a tiny bit better. I know it doesn't seem like one person can make a difference; but then one little delicate snowflake doesn't make a difference; enough snowflakes together makes a blizzard that will stop even the biggest locomotive, truck and airplane, in fact whole cities and regions. So my silly little things, if they can make ONE someone smile it might be the beginning of a blizzard that can change our world.

If not that's fine... it makes me smile.

BeeDance - you make it fun for me to come read the forums, so keep on doin' whatchyer doin' (as we would say it in MT). I totally get the fatigue/do what you can/meds with side effects thing. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. In fact, my doc recently put me on a new med...they arrived and I took one dose, the side effects were so bad from that one pill, I said never again. So now I have the rest of a 3 month supply sitting here...I won't use them, pharmacy doesn't want them back and so they will go to the incinerator (our county operates that, probably just for reasons like this). I can't even get rich quick off them - no street value. (edited to add: just kidding on that last thing).

Hi Shodack! It's just a game and past time not a requirement (even for those who are addicted to the game). What's important is enjoying & having fun not clocking time. Amazing how no matter how much we grow we want more. Putting more time into the game just means wanting different "more things". Miss Brooke is way more fun and way more important than any silly game. I hear sleep is too, but that's only second hand information....

Whats Sleep ??? lol i forget .......as a die hard FOCD farmer .... i have completed the current event EVEN the part i didnt NEED *shakes head* i would really enjoy more down time between events to give time to rebuild stock ..... Half as many events with twice as much rewards i say! ..... anyone with me give me a heck yet! lol ......

    BeeDance Padavan

I told my doctor I think I take too many meds .... he said they have a pill for that.
I really can't complain. I overdo which is usually my fault, and I pay for it, but I know there are so many who would trade places with me in a heartbeat.

    -----

igot, I'm done with this event too. I didn't complete it, but I'm as far as I can go with the time left and requirements. I'm happy with it.
I agree.... need more time to make stuff for feeds and "regular" tasks. More space for more fields and critters would be nice. But if we got those things we'd want something else.

BTW did Bubba give back the ear rings? I didn't see him wearing them this morning... at least not in his ears. If he got his tongue pierced I'd personally write them off, but that's just me. Same with a belly button piercing (that's not "normal" belly button fuzz), though I doubt he is willing to endanger his beer belly. Knowing him I would not be in the least bit surprised if he got his knees pierced....

8)Fatigue?? Horrible side effects??:wuerg: Has anyone tried Herbal Remedies?? There has been a virtual revolution in the Medical field with regard to these! Cutting edge research has opened the way for H-e-a-l-i-n-g with herbals now, and not just covering over the symptoms as most prescription drugs do. Best of all, there are NO side effects for almost all herbals!!!:D This is because they are natural and work with the body to nourish, cleanse, and heal. The reason there are side effects with prescription drugs is because the body does not recognize them as 'natural', so it rejects those chemicals. Thus, negative body reactions: side effects. Latest buzz?....Research has discovered what makes people grow old and get wrinkles, joint problems, etc....and have been able to put together herbals to counteract the problems and reverse the damage. So now they even have 'Anti-aging' formulas!! (o_Ooooo - I just looove science! Talk to me in Telemerase, Baby! Whisper in my ear! LOL)xD

Doctors who are knowledgeable about these things are regular MD's called: Wholistic; Alternative; or Integrative, which is a Dr. who uses the best of both herbal and conventional medicines.
A good way to find a reputable one is to call around the Hospitals and ask if they have any good ones on staff or know of any by reputation. If they don't, try another Hosp., etc. There are many good ones out there now. Just make sure he has a good reputation.
Happy hunting, guys - and welcome to 21st Century Medicine/science!:inlove::D

@BeeDance you are sooo funny! xD Your S.O.H is so up my street :D. I love your outlook and have the same philosophy...even if you make just one person smile/happy it is worth it!:)

@igotfrogs I too suffer from anxiety issues and at one very bad part of my life was nearly a recluse :(. It's no fun feeling so out of control and I hope over time the attacks will get less and less as they have for me :). I hope you have good, understanding people around you as it makes all the difference! It's good you have something like this as your escape. Not only is it a great game but the 'love' and support amongst the community on here is just fab :inlove:.

Back to the theme of the thread, which I must say @saltypixel , was a great idea!!!
"Hi, I'm Fifi and I'm addicted to Farmerama" xD

Yes I plan things around events. I've planned other RL stuff around events. I've waited up, with my eyeballs falling out my head just to harvest crops. I've set alarms to farm at certain times..even get up through the night to harvest ( I believe this was in my early days on the farm doing MM,trying to get my first Bat Roost, Crow Roost and both breeding)..that I think, is a bit over the top personally but I've done it on more than one occasion :p. These were at times when I didn't have any important RL stuff to deal with so it was purely my sleep time and mental health that was affected o_O.... xD.

I have notepads and pages strewn in front of the PC with endless notes, lists, prices etc. I go mental once I know what requirements are needed for events..listing them, checking, crossing out, jotting down....I think I need therapy but I don't have time to go 'cos I'm too busy on the farm xDxDxD...(what do you mean it's not real....are you mad....are you????xD)

Anyway I think I have stolen enough of this thread with my ramblings :p and endless smilies :music: so I'm off (for now anyway. I will be lurking in the shadows no doubt, even though I'm supposed to be doing some course work but it's far more fun on here...xDxDxD

BeeDance, do you get Garfield in the Sunday funnies in your paper? It's just made for you! If you don't, you can probably find it online (just google it).

And Yes, FTB - I too am now planning chores around farming - and this being the last day of cheesemasonsII - ugh...I gotta get enough morning glories planted and harvested - in between RL laundry, vacuuming, etc.

I read Garfield often, mostly on line. He was my hero for a long time. I also like Calvin & Hobbes, Bloom County (Bill-the-Cat), The Born Loser, Get Fuzzy, and several others. My favorite source of humor though is human beings in our natural environment. I believe humans are some of the funniest people I've ever seen.

    ------

The Farmer's Anonymous meeting will be held on Wednesday this week. Since some have been confused as to when the meetings, it is really simple:

Meetings will be the 1st and 4th Wednesday of each week except when the 2nd or 5th Tuesday follows two Mondays in a row, but not in odd months beginning with a W. Otherwise they will be on Tuesdays except when the vernal equinox is within 6 months of the beginning or ending of the year, at which time the meeting will be on Monday or Thursday. The 2nd and 3rd week will alternate between Thursdays and an undecided day based on the barometric pressure in south eastern Tibet.
I know this now makes everything crystal clear so be sure to mark it on your calendar so you don't miss this week's exciting meeting. We look forward to hearing many people give their stories of addiction and how they have been able to overcome them to be normal Farmerama farmers! Come join in and support / be supported in this endeavor!

Spent my first (very tiny amount) real money on the game yesterday. I couldn't stop myself, the deal was too good. Told my husband this morning, and he gave me a high five and said,"that's how it starts!"
He's a gamer so he thinks it's hysterical and cute that I have found a game to enjoy. :p
