    Total requirements
EP from harvesting event crops65.000 EP
    Cube watermelon (8h)13.000
    Cube pumpkin (4h)13.000
    Mug (Drop item)950
    Fake moustaches (From Moustachery)26
    Moustachery (Event workshop)4

The event workshop (moustachery) is build using 10 nails, 1 hammer, 5 wood and 1 comb. 4 combs are awarded in task 2, so one can build a maximum of 4 moustacheries. The moustacheries run on 1 cuckoo + 1 cuckoo feed.

4 cuckoo stables are rewarded in step 2, but those who have cuckoos in their barn can also use them, and they will be tradeable on the market when the event starts.

Cuckoo feed: 5x crop circle + 2 x angels trumpet milling time 3 min

Some useful info about the first task (timed 24h):
    • The first task counts how much EP/BEP you get from harvesting event crops. You still get both the plants and the EP/BEP.
    • Bonuses from buffs count, for instance from:
      • Pets: Owls, crows, dragons, unicorn and squirrel
      • Flower cloud row +10%: keep it unharvested!
      • Zucchini-apple-bread, +60% for 18h, gold slot (ZAB)
      • Carrot bread, +20% for 4h, silver slot (CB)
      • Easter marmalade, +30% for 12h, gold slot (EM)
      • Spring wreath, +30% for 12h, gold slot (SW)
      • Sweet rose jam, +20% for 8h, gold slot (SRJ)
      • Suzy's super grow:
        • +50% EP for 2x2 plots,
        • +100% EP for 1x2 plots
        • +200% for 1x1 plots
    • Best combination is ZAB+CB+EM/SW (we only have two gold slots)
    • Without using any buffs, it is not possible to get to 65.000EP
How to be best prepared for the timed step:
    1. Grow cube watermelons overnight
    2. Activate all buffs
    3. Start the timer
    4. Harvest and replant cube pumpkins until you are done
    5. If you can't complete it during the day, plant cube watermelons overnight again
During the day it is best to plant cube pumpkins (if you can be around to harvest and replant that is), because cube watermelons give 12 EP per 1x1 plot, but in the same time you can grow two rounds of cube pumpkins and get 16 EP per 1x1 plot.

An example on how to get enough EP using most of the farm: The farm has 776 1x1 plots in total (all land unlocked).
      • Plant cube watermelon overnight, eat ZAB & 4 CB & CAC (doesn't help EP), activate any pets, start the timed quest and harvest
      • Plant and harvest cube pumpkins 5 times (or 4 times with another overnight harvest of cube watermelons)
    Cube watermelon gives 48EP per 2x2, i.e. 12EP per 1x1 plot.
    Cube pumpkin gives 32EP per 2x2, i.e. 8EP per 1x1 plot.

The bonus for ZAB is 60%, from CB 20%, total 80% bonus. The green thumb rune gives 10% extra if unlocked.

Use 695 plots without the rune, 658 with the green thumb rune.
    Overnight harvest yields:
    695*12EP*1,8 = 15.012EP or 658*12EP*1,9 = 15.002EP (with rune)
Each of the next 5 harvests of cube pumpkins yields:
    695*8EP*1,8 = 10.008EP or 658*8EP*1,9 = 10.001EP (with rune)
In total we get at least:
    15.002EP+5*10.001EP = 65.007EP

This is just an example to show that it is possible to complete the first step with limited resources, no pets etc. Most of you will have better ways to complete it!

There are many ways to reduce the number of plots needed (or number of harvests):
    • Using pets and/or adding for instance EM
    • Another harvest within the 24 hours (or using more plots)
Be ware: You can not do this timed quest more than once. If you don't reach the full 65.000EP you get part of the reward and move on to the next task. Don't start the timed quest until you have enough plants, I would say 500-750 of each.

    About the rewards:

    • The cloud row is excellent (120 BEP x baha level every 48 hours + more tool drops for 30 min), and does not require any special items. It is given on the second to last page, so you need 600 (of 950 total) drops to get the cloud row.
    • It will be possible to build the workshops rewarded on the last page later, so don't despair if you can't get them. This event requires 50 more drops than the previous event, so take that into consideration before you grow all the crops.
    • Orion wonder stables FAQ

Useful strategy threads for this event

    Good luck everyone :D

Thanks mir. I've read it 3 times and it now sort of makes sense. Seems very complicated though!

    Bless you Mir!!!!
    You are an angel:)
I'm surprised they are doing such a challenging event so soon after the equinox event.
Good luck to all those who are going for the event!

I guess I will be calculating the minimum number of crops I gotta plant to get onto step 2 LOL

I found this in case anyone is interested:
    https://board-en.farmerama.com/index.php?threads/faq-suzys-super-grow.10505/
"adding Suzy Super-Grow: will give +2 crops for each plot, and:

    • +50% EP for 2x2 plots,
    • +100% EP for 1x2 plots
    • +200% for 1x1 plots"

thank you mir for the strategies.

Bigpoint, you must take this into consideration. For someone who doesn't farm much due to real life, I'm sorry I'm not completing step 1...:(

I looked for the Hardship rating, and it is missing.
    I will add it here:
    Step 1: Very, very difficult
    Step 2 and beyond: Fair.

    But I will do it...

Of course you will, Mr President. You must set a good example to your subjects! :D

I have a particularly difficult working week this week (well, regarding events that is) but I can get off to a goodish start tomorrow. Working Thursday and Friday afternoon and have visitors at the weekend so this will be a real challenge.

I am quite worried about that first step - I hate pulling out my Glades. Did it last time and only just got it back how I like it. Will hold that in reserve in case of emergency. But 26,000 crops - that has to be a typo, doesn't it? :wuerg:

Oh well, all hands to the shovel ... Good Luck everybody! ;)

Mir: Thank you so much for laying out the necessary requirements - strategy is just not my thing (not that anyone would notice lol!). I have started the SOS thread. Can see this one being just as busy as the last one. I can't believe I actually posted there myself! :inlove:

Does anyone else keep trying to go into their farm to check their inventory for the event lol? xD

My barn had over 20000 cuckoo( Most cuckoo breeding event is ignored)
So, if we really could used them for this event. I do not need to raise the cuckoo,
Just make the feed is enough.
Also, I may got a bit of fortune from market:p

Now wouldn't that be nice. :music: Edit: this can apply to either Penguilnz's comment or Dnin's! xD

I think I will have to re-think and use all four fields - saves me some CAC too. But I do hate putting it all back together again. Still, needs must and all that. Stiff upper lip and other well known clichés! :wuerg:

Not a fan that it will take 8 cuckoos for the workshop. The FAQ indicates that we will have future requirements for all our cuckoos so between breeding, quests, the workshop for the mustaches, you may find that you will use a lot of your cuckoos. I don't know how many I will keep for my own personal use but I don't want to sell them all and then find myself needing them again. I have 47k in the barn...

Thanks SillyGuy, I had forgotten about the flower cloud row :music: will put it in :)

Some advice (take it or leave it) to those who are overwhelmed:
    • Don't worry too much about the first step, use what space you have, use all the buffs you have/can afford, do what you can and try not to end up in the "screw up of the day" thread :wuerg:xD and don't panic ;)
    • If you want help with the calculations, make a post here, include as much relevant info as possible: How many plots do you have available, what artisan products can you use, any pets you have, if you have the flower cloud row (keep it unharvested!) and how often can you harvest. Then me or someone else will help you with a plan ;)
    • The cloud row is excellent, if you have a chance, go for it! That is far more important than completing step 1 :D Remember this is in the next to last step, so you "only" need 600 drops and 6500 of each of the crops :)
    -----------

I am looking forward to donating a "few" of my 33000 cuckoos to the animal trophy :D According to German FAQ the exchange value will be 153 for cuckoos :inlove: I might actually finish the trophy :D I really wonder what the market price will settle on

I am so glad you mentioned the trophy! I would like to finish the level I am on (14/15) but am not sure if I will do the final level or not. I typically do not struggle with drops (the last event that was hard for me was the Snowed In event) and often have hundreds of drops left over. Economically, it does not make sense to complete the last level but at some point I may change my mind just because I like finishing things. I may, in lieu of the crop trophy, use that stock for sale to help with other quests-- Soup maybe...I don't know but I need approx 10,800 cuckoos to finish level 14.

That Is Great Info Mir as you tried to explain it as simply as you can, as the FAQ does sound a Bit Complicated As I add a Few Pointers to be Clear how we best do this Comic 8 Always Right Event. So Let Us Get it Right First Time.

    1) I Need to Stress out that you would need to to Maximise your Drop on This Event Especially Getting Mugs as it is 950 of Them to Require to Complete The Whole Event as Mir Said it is 50 More Event Drops than the last Event.

    a) Put out Any Jumbo Trees that you May Have, (Used Mulch on Them if you have them)
    b) Put out All Production Pens that you have.(Use Santa Con Cloud Row to be use with Church bouquet and/or use Guava Jam) to reduce Production Pens Times
    c) Use Any Orange/Red/Pink Animals or Productions Pens that you may have
    d) If you not have any of the above I suggest you use Comfort Fields Many as you can. (Use Refined Crops in Comfort Fields if you have them use Water and Manure on Them too But Comfort Fields Takes 4 x As Long to grow than normal Fields
    e) Use Howie Donuts if you have them Boost Drops upto 5% More Each

    2) The FAQ gives very clear Warning that the Timed Quest for Level 1 Will Only Work Once.

    a) Build Up a Reasonable Amount of Event Crops of Cube Pumpkins and Cube Watermelons
    b) Use any pets that Boost Ep That you have such as Owl, Crow. Dragon and Unicorn Pet
    c) Use Buffs of EM,SW,ZAB and CB Do no Forget to use Pinkie Pie pie Which Extends the Effective of Buffs by 30%
    d) If you are using Comfort Fields on Event Crops, if you have Any Suzy SuperGrow it boost EP on Comfort Fields by 50% Make Sure you do this before Activating The Time Quest of Level 1
    e) Plan This out Properly and Well get it RIGHT !!!

Silly Guy: The Flower Cloud Row 30% Extra EP will not work on Event Crops as it only works on all flower crops

I have over 18,000 Cuckoos in My Barn will not need to Grow any Cuckoos. But will Need to Mill some Cuckoo Feeds as i have 100K of Crop Circles and have 40,000 Angel Trumpets.

It Looks Like That Cuckoo Feed will be staying in the Game as I need to Confirm this. But I think it will be staying in the Barn after this Event as They stay that all Cuckoos in the Barn and Temporary Cuckoo Quests will Become Permanent in The Near Future. ;)
