I like the new Mill redesign, it looks like a few feed run, which is better than how it was before, just one feed at the time.

 

I really love the functionality, I think it's just about perfect.

I do find the writing a little hard to read though. It could do with a beefier font for the names of the feed.

One step forward, one step back.
Now I have lost the opportunity to see my feed, arranged by amount in a quick glance, once I have queued production. Going through the Barn pull both Main and Island feed numbers and it is difficulty to pick Island only.
Maybe consider two additional buttons to allow separate views of Main and Island feed, straight from the Mill...

 

Before going to bed last night, I activated my cloud row that reduces mill time. I also have the half time mill subscription, rune reduction and a 300 unit water tank. I set my mill to run 24 hours milling 8 Power Feed.

After the mill reset, I now have 27+ hours to go milling my feed. I'm a bit disappointed that the changeover "lost" my cloud row effect.

 

I have the rune and subscription. I set up the mill to make 5 PF (20 hours) yesterday so it would be finished between 8 and 9 AM today, but when I logged in this morning, only 2 had been milled and I still had more than 12 hours left on the time. I, too, am disappointed. I also completely lost the photos I had milled from an attempt at one of the farmer's society comic quests.

Like Bhodo, I like being able to check on my feed by amount, but couldn't find how to do it except by canceling part of the queue. I really don't consider that much of an improvement.

 

Yes, we still need to be able to see the rest of the animals' feeds.

 

Just cancel and restart the production, same thing happened to me It is a one time inconvenience, not much to complain about in my opinion.

I also always use(d) the mill to check the feed amounts Besides that there are many good things, will come back once I have looked a bit closer at it

 

I like that I can set up both mills from one place. And that I can line up another one Once I use it more I may have more thoughts....

very nice mill BUT!! still cant mill pf on both mills not happy about that. listen to the people please and while im at it i say again please put a stop option on the farm machines what a waste of hours we pay for ty

 

That's my plan once my cloud row is recharged.

The information given on the install/conversion was misleading.

I like being able to mill more than one item and that I can see both Baha and the regular mill together.

Looking forward to that other space unlocking, but if it takes time, I am still happy with what we can do now.


EDIT: After using the mill feature quite a bit, I have to agree with those who say remove the split. Its particularly frustrating that the settings default to wonder stables when I mill them as the first feed. I also don't like that I cannot see what is required any more unless I have an empty slot. I like to plan ahead and buy or grow things for feed. If you cannot change that, then at least have an easy, clickable popup directly on the farm that shows the ingredients for each. Ideally, I would like to see the quantities I have in my barn, but at least having the ingredients would help some.

I timed my powerfeed yesterday, showed 3 hours per powerfeed with the cloud row and subscription activated, but the total I was able to mill was more like 6 hours to mill? This is pretty frustrating. Being able to mill a bit faster is a big issue.

 

I look forward to being able to open more slots in the queue. I hope it will be more than the three currently showing. I like that I can mill several different feeds overnight - or even during the day while I'm away (yes I have to admit it - I actually walk away from the game to do RL stuff). I see and understand other farmer's concerns and ideas for improvements and perhaps some of those will be addressed as we and the game "grow along".

Mir, Sweet_Cassiopeia states exactly what I think and plan to do regarding the loss of my cloud row effect. I have lost something after all.

 

I find it all too 'small' and not easy to read at a glance - and I do not have an eyesight problem!
