Me too pnp :) For those players with lots of cuckoos in their barn, but not very high percentage on the crop trophy, this is an excellent opportunity to increase it! If you do it right after the event starts it will help with the drops for this event!

Thank you Mooboy :D Just a small note: The flower cloud row also give +10% EP on event crops :)

Update initial post: I added suzy's super grow to the list (thanks d5aisy) and the pet squirrel!

Mooboy, the flower cloud row gives 10% EP bonus on Event plant/crops for 24 hours. Silly Guy has stated this correctly.

(Sorry Mir, I missed your post.) :)

Silly Me I misread The Flower Cloud does Work on Event Plants for First 24 hours after it been activated I though it works on flower crops only that Great I realized this could have used it on Previous Events. The Last Event did not involved in Bahmamrama But I am Glad it is asked for in This Event.

Although we do get more EP Bahmamrama Crops. I will use the flower cloud row until I have grown all the Needed Event Crops of 13000 Cube Pumpkins and Cube WaterMelons. This is Going to be a Tough Event as Cube WaterMelons will take 8 Hours to Grow as we need 13,000 of Them.

That is very High Number of 13000 Cube WaterMelons for 8 Hour Crop. It Going to be Quiet a Challenge o_O:p

@-Mir85- I'm sorry but my head is spinning with all this (the event, not your wonderful strategy!). Are you saying to do both of these things or pick one of them? I ask purely as the step is a 24 hour one so there wouldn't be 2 overnight plantings or am I missing the point?

This one sounds like fun! A real Challenge :)

For any one who got this cloud row it also gives 5% increase in drop chances for All resources.

    Good Luck Everyone!!

Both Fifi :) You start the timer after the first overnight crop is ready :) (edit: but before harvest o_O) then you have 24 hours and can get a second overnight harvest if you get up a bit earlier next morning :p

Have to run, see you all later :) Agree with JJ, I'll have fun with this :)

For those still in state of confusion, just read Mir's opening post: that's all you need to know to be prepared and get the most from this event, including that the true jewel prize of this event is step5's cloud row, which means you must aim at it first, with 600 event's drops needed to complete it. The second most valuable set of prizes is in step6: the coloured cuckoo workshops.

Regarding drops, though 950 seem too many, most probably the rate will be increased, in adjustment to the higher requirement.

But, since it's not for sure, then you must be prepared for your first harvest.

For clarification: my suggestion is that you forget about pens of any kind to be ready for that first harvest: they are simply the worst and most inefficient kind of item to place for boosting your initial event's drops count, no matter if they are coloured or not, just because they are 2x2s. The same goes for jumbo trees (I'll keep all the 9 I permanently keep in the Magical Glade but not for event's drops: just for the huge amount of EPs they yield when Suzy-sprayed); again, because they're 2x2s.

This is especially true when you aim at a first harvest boost. You must go, instead, for your longest growth time crops in as many plots you can afford to have + trees, any tree that uses 1x1s. The reason is that, if you place any item using 2x2s, you may lose event's drops just because only one drop of any kind (including event's) can be gotten from a single plot at any given harvest. With more plots in the position of yielding event's drops, the overall chance of getting them from your first harvest increases.

PS: Event's crop for your first harvest before activating the timed step1: cube watermelon. This is only for that first harvest. The reason? It yields more absolute EPs per plot but, afterwards, till you're done with the required 65K EPs, it's better for anyone to switch to cube pumpkins, simply because the cube pumpkins will yield more EPs/plot/hr.

I like that nothing comes out of my barn and that everything to be grown is event related. I am a little disappointed that we are getting an official new animal and workshop-- no room! But I am glad we can finally use our cuckoos for something.

I will wait to start the timed part on Friday morning. We are getting a new internet service Thursday afternoon and I don't know how long it takes to set that up. By then, I should have enough seeds for both crops to cover all 4 fields. I will use all fields to maximize CAC and to get this event done because the Easter event follows just 2 days later. I do like a little more time in between so I will press on. I hope the drop rate is fairly good because with 13k of 8 hour crop required, I am not sure how many long overnights of being able to grow something else I will have.

With my pets, cloud row, rune, and buffs, I don't think it will take a 2nd overnight planting to finish the timed quest. Just need to remember to mill some feed when the event starts so that I can put out the workshops as soon as I can build them.

Yes of course, I'm with you now. See, I told you my common sense was running off with my memory!o_O:pxD

Well, I'm not sure what I think to this event just yet so the jury is out from me on this one atm. Although I'm also pleased the cuckoos some of us already have are going to be used and that we have been informed about all the cuckoo stuff that is staying, coming, being made permanent and what to expect regarding the future of them. It saves time on everyone asking if they'll be needed again or will there be a workshop in the future etc etc (as I am one of those people that would've asked!:p)
Thank goodness there's Mir & crew that post these strategies for everyone!!!:D

I already have some mouse stalls so I'm not particularly bothered about them so from what it said in that purple/pink box I only need to get 13,000 EP to get the tools and helper coupons...is that correct anyone?
Also @-Mir85- was those calculations including water and/or manure?

I have skipped the previous cuckoo quests so I could rest. I have about 10k in stock.

I did not see mention of water or manure for event crops, perhaps it was assumed. With water the 4h crop is 3:11. Manure is too expensive for me, so I won't be using it except for first couple rounds of starter seeds. I agree that using the 4h crop during the day is best as it has a higher EP/hr than the 8h crop. The plan I have worked out is the same as the OP. I will clear all fields tonight and plant my "refined" carnations tonight. Anyone that is low-mid level plant trees that will be ready to harvest at the start of event for drops, then delete them for the crop space, replace the trees when done with crops if you wish. I plan to use 2x2s and SG to accumulate enough crops for all fields of 1x1s. My current plan involves being AFK on second day, so I will wait until I get home to start the timer or maybe wait until 3rd day to start it. Then harvest the 8h overnight crop, plant harvest 5 rounds of 4h crop and plant 8h crop overnight.

Anyone not participating fully in this event... good opportunity to make coins growing/selling manure from chickens.

More poo in less time. And Chickens (and Rabbits sorry Suzee ) are always needed - those Anacondas sure get hungry! :wuerg:

I am growing chickens and rabbits today as my longer pens are ready to harvest. Tonight I will convert to crops. I sure did not like putting the platypus, wolf, kiwi, bio labs and snorkel shop away.

Quick to produce the manure. You can make more manure per day than any other animal...

 This is going to be an event to test me. Not because of the event its self really but more to the fact that my RL is going to be so out of control from Friday to the end of it. The first day is shot due to building up the crops to even start the first step since it's timed. So really I have one "good" day to put into this. :(

I really want that cloud row. What to do... what to do... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I am still undecided. I am working early tomorrow and could clear all fields and put roses or something similar out but on the other hand, I could leave harvesting till I get home, with all my animals and trees out and probably all ready at the same time. But will I be able to stop myself harvesting before work. :wuerg:

Where did you get this info from Pups, have I missed something? (As usual!) :p

I am determined to finish this event on both farms this time and not fail due to my inability to plan well ahead! :D

I read somewhere (maybe Grapevine?) that the Easter event starts 2 April and this one goes until 31 March.

Edit: I just went back through the Grapevine and did not see the reference. I thought that is where I got the date....I wrote it down so I did not make it up....Hmmmmmm....

Why do we need 4 CB?

And another question. I still have 1x1 fields all over my farm. Would it be a bad idea to plant a long hour plant in these fields and harvest them tomorrow? Will I get less drops?

Edit sorry pnp I thought something else
