Had excellent drops this morning, something like 122 mugs and 10 toolboxes. My plan is to just grow crops all day today, do as Mir said and grow the event watermelons overnight, and start the EP clock first thing tomorrow (I will be leaving a nice big sticky stuck to my computer to remind me to activate buffs, pets, clouds, and timer before harvest xD). Now if I could just figure out how to open the toolboxes:p...

Well, I've already messed up. It's been a busy day irl and I haven't been at all focused. First I harvested my long time crops before the event even started, and w/o buffs. Then I forgot to switch to 1x1 plots where I was supposed to have them. So drops have been terribad so far, and I've decided I'm gonna pretend like this day never happened. :music: Did buy the small event basket though. I've only done that a handful of times at most during the years, but I was feeling sorry for myself.

    So sorry Salty
Unexpected RL is pulling me away and messing up all my plans (hate when that happens) :sleepy: Will have to come back later, pick up the pieces and start all over again :music:

I've just started with the event. I had animal pens (orange where possible) and trees planted (including all the rares I had). I have no cloud rows or pets to help me with the drops. I did get 85 drops from harvesting all the fields, so it's an okay start. The event crops are growing now and I've adjusted my entire farm so that I'll be able to grow as much of the crops as possible. It will be a challenge to get step one completed 100%, but if I don't manage to get that, that's okay too :)

I'm looking forward to the other steps!

Hi guys, sorry if someone's already answered this but I've quickly posted this without reading through the whole thread. Step 1-do we actually hand in all the crops for that amount of EP or is the EP taken seperately and we get to keep the crops?? I'm guessing not 'cos it would make things easier for us lol and sorry if it's a silly question!

Oh goody!!:) Thought we'd have to hand it all in and start again . Thankyou @dnin21cent !

@WallawD2 ...pop your PJ/CB on just before you harvest. I have started using CAC straight away as I want to increase my crop amounts asap. It's your call and depends how many buff items you got and how many CC's you're want to spend!

Guys need some advice please. My RL plans for tmr have changed so I should hopefully be about most of the time to do regular harvests, which is great but I'm not sure what to do overnight as I can now have a much awaited lie-in so, I'm thinking of putting in cube pumpkins on comfort fields to see me through the night and allow me my much needed rest instead of having to set the alarm just to harvest cube watermelons. What do you think? Really bad idea or not a big deal? I really really need a lie in more than the watermelons..:sleepy: lol but I'm not sure how much of a setback it would be as regards the EP side of things for Step 1 and crop amount in general. Tbh, even though I'd like to get all 5 helper coupons, if I don't get the full EP on Step 1, I'm not that bothered as I already have mouse stalls but it's more about building up a good stock of crops for the rest of the event that I'm bothered about. Any thoughts on the situation or should I just shut up, plant on comforts, get lots of sleep (hopefully!!!) and just get on with planting on 1x1's again once I'm up and about? 8)

Germany changes the time to "summer time" (that's how we call it) on Saturday. So, the event ends at 8 a.m. EST and not at 9 a.m., like expected.

Get lots of sleep Fifi :) For the EP amount you will get more starting with the cube pumpkins on comfort fields, than from cube watermelons on normal fields :)

I agree with Mir: CPs on CFs will yield more EPs than CWs in normal fields.

In fact, the last time we had a similar challenge, we got to the very same conclusion; I don't recall which event it was, though.

    Then, I did exactly that.

But now, in this case, I'll tell you what I'll do: I won't bother.

Step1 prizes are not worth any effort, in my case. So, I'll simply activate the 24 hs thing in a couple of hours from now, since I already have all the tree-free non-barren land covered with event's crops. Most probably, I'll get to the 65K EPs from event's crops anyway, in the following 24 hours (I'm almost sure it'll take less than that). But, if I don't, I simply won't care. Whatever fraction of the 65K EPs will be OK for me.

Hm, I'll be hitting 60 today on this farm. Perhaps I too should plop some comfort fields down to be harvested right after timer starts. A lie-in sounds tempting actually. 8)

Oh lovely..thanks Mir..I'm far too lazy to work the facts out for myself :p. And after reading someone else's post I've just realised it's this weekend the clocks change here in the UK aswell so we're gonna lose an hour on the event..??>:( and on sleep :( but the good news is that the days will be brighter longer and Spring is here...:D

Thanks Fifi - that had completely escaped me, I would have been very confused in the morning!
As for the event as usual I have only just started, but aiming to get lots of plants done first and then start the clock while running spring wreath and easter marmalade.

At least now we can get an answer to the question: What came first, the chicken or the egg?

If you have no idea what I am talking about, take a look in the workshop.
