Feedback Mill Redesign

Although I can see that people wanted to be able to make more than one feed at a time, I was not one of them! I like to make 300 to 1000 feed at a time. The only feeds I make in small amounts is PF (because of the water limitation) and the rarer pens where 100 feed lasts for ever. I started to make 500 Panda feeds before this was implemented but do not seem to have made any as yet. The clock is ticking away but no feeds have been made ? It just says -8% - which I presume if the time till it will actually start making the feed.
Couple this with the small font and the fact that we can still not make PF on Baha, I feel this needs to go back to the drawing board. I also feel really sorry for those who have that expensive cloud row.
It seems our expectations have not been met and I do not feel we expected that much!

Completely understandable - this has been already brought up by the other language communities as well. Of course, this is something the higher ups have to decide - so all we can do is wait for an update.

Thank you very much for your feedback. There is a problem with the higher quantities, only 255 units of feed being made and the rest being... lost. We are waiting for an update from the game team on this matter, and we will let you all know as soon as we have news.

The only negative I really care about is the CR "fix" (I imagine you can tell...), the others I mentioned are minor, at least as far as I'm concerned.

I bought the CR specifically for use in milling PF. I would only care about it's use outside of PF if BP introduces another milling item with a ridiculously long milling time. BP sets the rules and then seems to be upset when we, the players, figure out the best way to play the game within those rules. It seems to me that BP then decides to change the rules. Not nice.

 

Do I understand that because I wanted 500 feed, the timer started for that amount, ticked away, took the seed but did not give any feed till it got below 255? I have cancelled all the big feeds on my farms and restarted them for a smaller amount. I hope we get a big bonus code to compensate for this and the other problems.
I hope the cloud row problem is not intended - I would be furious if I had bought it!
Teddy - you are a wonder, working overtime to keep us all informed and happy.

I am sure a lot of farmers relate to the way you feel, since the power feed is the main focus in almost everybody's mill, and definitely, the cloud row has the biggest impact on it, due to the longer milling time.

Thank you very much - I am doing my best to do damage control today We are waiting for updates as well and it's important to keep you up to date instead of waiting for news in silence.

Hopefully cancelling your feed did save you the hassle - all we know about the "255 bug" is that it is taken into internal workflow for investigation. Official information should follow as soon as possible.

Well, I'm joining the angry crowd and if BP were a shop I'd be returning my item and demanding my money back as it was sold to me in a manner that was not correct. I don't care whether it was unintentional or a glitch, I bought it for the sole purpose of milling PF and island feed - that's my hard earned cash in BP's pockets and now I don't get what I have come to expect. That's like buying a car and then someone coming along to remove the steering wheel because it wasn't meant to be there - utterly pointless.

 

Thank you teddy for working so hard to communicate what you are able.

I suspect that the CR was designed with good intentions but somehow some uses were overlooked. I feel that we should not be penalized for the error on the part of the designers or the programmers. However, I would be content if the CR was one that only applied to mill items with a more than 1 hour milling time per unit. I'm not sure how hard it would be to re-program it for that, however. It would also not appeal to all.

Myself, I feel it's more than upsetting. It's a cloud row I bought (not earned from an event) for a purpose that suddenly lost its value.
In that case, I no longer want to continue purchasing anything more than BP has to offer, since they don't have notion of compromising, commitment and loyalty. Unless, they come to their senses, of course. Which I really am hoping they will.
If not, it's sad but it's their loss, not mine. I can choose other games. They can choose other players. Only I doubt they earn loyalty from the new ones.
I'm sorry to say this but I had to say it.
And I want to say more, but I'm waiting for cooling my head...

 

Til now I haven't said anything about this issue,but I must now, I had started milling PF 2 days prior to the mill change, it showed 2/8 on screen before the "down time" I noticed after Farmerama came back up it still showed the same, I waited for nearly 24 hours, no change, the stupid thing still showed 2/8. I cancelled it at that point and am not happy at all, if this mill sticks this bad for the 8 pf( i never had this problem with the old mill doing this.) then it has a very serious flaw! BP needs to consider that most of us that wanted a way to que more than 1 kind of feed also make pf, this is a major slap in the face to us.

 

I have to agree with Arq. I got the cloud row with the express purpose of being able to mill PF. Now the way it stands we can't even mill 1 unless we have the mill subscription. I tested it. Activated cloud row set the mill to make 1 PF. Once the 6 hrs was up it added back in the time supposedly saved by the row. As far as I'm concerned the row is just useless.

 

teddy, in the announcement regarding buffs you say that the knew system will apply to all buffs. Does that mean it will also apply to craft products? or just cloud rows? A possible example would be White Innocence+SG, is the effect going to revert to normal SG if WI expires or is deleted?

Luckily I didn't have anything in my mill when they changed it. I was just trying to harvest my crops that took a short time and put in ones I could leave in overnight. You can see how much feed you have when you try to feed the animal or factory that needs it, if you go to the barn or before you make the feed. I think the main problem is the stacking. If you are going to have two lots of feed going at least make them going at the same time. Say people who are talking about Power Feed, which takes a long time, you can have another feed going at the same time such as chicken feed. Instead of having to wait for the power feed to finish until the chicken feed can start, why not have them running separately so you do them both at the same time.

Thank you so much Teddy for understanding our complaints (and the right to have them) and forwarding to the game devs. It's truly appreciated.
This has nothing to do with the new mill design, which I think it's good, although it needs improvement. Bugs are (always) a nuisance but understandable . Just need patience until it's fixed.
As for the cloud row...
Well, if they want to "fix" it at their own will, I will "fix" the money I'm willing to spend in this game.

One way or another, this is related to the new mill, because it is what brought the change, or the fix of a bug we were not aware of being a bug. We will most certainly have news from the Team in the morning so all we can do is wait.

This is probably related to the cloud row time reduction, if you had it active - otherwise it should work fine, only the regular animal feed in large quantities has a problem, as explained in the announcement.

I do not even want to think about that . But I must admit it crossed my mind, so I did ask about the crafting buffs for crops, stables, etc and I have been assured that it is not a bug nor will be changed, they will continue working the way they do, so I strongly assume the announcement refers solely to Mill time reducing effects.

I will check but I know I didn't buy the cloud row, If I have it it was earned from an event.I do try to activate cloud rows every morning and check them a few times per day... I don't have mill subscription either. Thank You Teddy.bear I know you mods try very hard to answer all of our questions and address our concerns.
Wish devs and higher ups had to deal with the backlash themselves, then they may not play this -edit- game. I'm sorry if that sounds bad or rude it is however the only way I could think of to describe what seems to keep happening.
I just checked, I do NOT have the mill reduction cloud row, so that is not what stopped production of the pf on my farm.

We still do not have an official announcement from the Game Team on this matter, but I would like to fill you in with the current situation, because of an announcement made in another forum . It looks like the Valentine's Cloud row was bugged, and nobody knew - we all assumed the behaviour is correct, despite the fact that the Sale, tooltip, and all the information clearly stated it is working for 6 hours only. If used the way it was used, it becomes a permanent reduction instead of a temp buff, and it was not how it was planned. Therefore, it was a bug, which now it was "fixed" - I'm using quotation marks because it was not literally fixed, but implemented correctly for the new mill, without knowing that it worked otherwise in the previous version of the mill.

Again, this is the current status of the situation - I cannot assure you that this is the final decision, because we do not have an official statement to post from the Game Team, but I'm sharing it with you so we won't appear like keeping this information away from you.

I apologise for all this inconvenience .

crzyjoyce - please be so kind and open a tech thread to investigate this further, in detail, to see what's going wrong with your Mill.

If that is the official stance on the Valentine Cloud Row, I would like a refund. You can have it back as it is not worth the money spent. Please inform BP.
