Comic EP Count

I activated all my buffs, pets, and cloud row prior to starting the timer. I have kept track of each individual field's EP and verified it by the history log at the bottom of the screen. I only added the whole numbers even though the system does keep track of the fractions. I collected 30,660 EP from harvesting event crops but the EP counter in the timer shows only 30,093. It will not be an issue for this farm to reach 65k so I am really just letting you know the timer is not counting correctly. It could be a potential issue for someone who falls short a little bit because the EP was not counted.

Edit: So sorry....I think I may have found the issue. I feel silly now posting but cannot seem to delete post.

Edit #2: There is definitely a miscount on the farm. I was very careful in harvesting and keeping track of the EP.

Adding all fields gave 17,410 EP. If I use the timer counter from above and add the last harvest the amount should be 47,503 but it is only showing 47,317. However, the true amount should be: 48,070 (less the amount of EP for the water well)

Similar issue going on with BillyWhiskers. It is easier to track since there are no pets nor cloud row...just plain EP...

it looks like the decimals are not counted towards the total amount of EP, so little by little it adds up - unfortunately I don't have further information at the moment, it is just being discussed between us admins from different languages. I apologise for this inconvenience and I will try to get back to you with more info as soon as possible.

Thank you teddy...but as I said in my original statement, I did not add the decimals either. I only added the whole number of EP from the field. Maybe I misunderstood what you are saying...are you talking about the decimals from the total EP? Or decimals from individual plots? I will wait for you to give more information.....

Edit: Because of the miscount, I am stuck in the timed task but have accumulated enough EP to move on to the next level and building the workshops. I will get the EP before the 24 hours is up but I carefully planned the use of buffs and field space to match my real life in order to be done before we switch internet providers. Now instead of coming back later to moustaches ready, I will have to harvest again because of less than 500 EP points that should have been credited.

Waiting to see what the official position on this problem will be....

The decimals I am referring to are from individual plots, not from the total amount harvested from the field - which makes it look quite a bit less.

Here is an example ( I think I had the Dragon pet activated ):

1 Cube Watermelon gave me 62.4 EP but only 62 EP were counted for the event step
For 44 plots of 2x2 it would be 44 x 0.4 = 17.6 EP. For 202 small plots (or so), with many buffs, the difference would be higher.

The day is over and the question has not been answered yet. What I can tell you is that this appears to have happened during Comic 6 as well (but I cannot confirm this 100% because I am unable to verify it). Whether this is intended (I doubt it) or a bug, or if it will or will not be fixed - I will tell you tomorrow after I have a clear statement from the Game Team.

Thank you for letting me know. I will wait and hope tomorrow there is additional information.

I have been able to advance here on pnp to being able to make the mustaches but BW will now have to have an additional overnight harvest that was not anticipated. I know it is not your fault and I am sorry this day has been so full of tension from several areas. I do hope we receive a positive response tomorrow because this really has upset me today along with the other problems in the game.

The Game Team confirmed that the decimals of EP amounts harvested from each plot are not counted for the first step of the event, I am really sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The FAQ will be updated shortly with this information.

Can you confirm with the game team that this is going to be standard procedure for timed events? It will be useful information for planning purposes. I know better than to ask 'why' would the timed quest not count all EP from the harvest. I am certain the standard response would be that is how it was set up by the team. I am really distressed by the news but I appreciate you providing an update.

One little area that is upsetting is not a big deal but when it spills over into multiple areas, those little things begin to build and then it is not such a small and insignificant problem. I had really hoped for better news and am so very disappointed in this news combined with the lack of official announcement regarding the cloud row/mill just reaffirms that BP really does not care about its players. Too bad...

Once you let me know the answer to whether this will be the norm for timed events, you may close.

I do understand your disappointment, and I wish I could have brought you better news.

The reason behind this setup was the fact that the values for the comic event are stored in a different database, using a different mechanism, which does not allow the decimals to be stored. This could not be changed, but it will hopefully be changed for future events. The Game Team confirmed that it worked like this in the past. As for the future, we have learned two things from this: The numbers should be stored with decimals, this has to be fixed, but we cannot promise you that it will be. However, if it is not, we will certainly ask for clarifications and add them to the FAQ before the event starts, to make sure everybody is aware of how things work.

I will leave the thread open for clarifications, in case there is something you wish to add.

I appreciate the explanation...it does provide insight as to how/why it functions this way. Unfortunately, it also one of those things that I am not sure why it wasn't realized when it was tested and the results compared with the EP timer clock and the EP bar. I appreciate the clarification so that we are not caught unprepared/unaware next time and can adjust planning appropriately, as well as hope that the team recognizes the error and takes the steps to correct it.
