Like: That the EP requirement is for event crops, and that they don't have to be donated. This makes it more "even" for lower level players. It might be nice to offer a Zucchini bread or Easter marmalade before the EP level, to give lower players a chance to earn these items, but they are available on the market. Long time players will have cloud rows and pets, but I still think its reasonable for newer players, particularly since you can move on to the rest of the event and even get a mouse pen without having to get the full EP requirement.

Like the prizes. I have enough mouse pens myself, but I know plenty of people don't. Saying its a bad prize would be purely selfish. I like the wonder pens, etc as always. The new cuckoo pens are particularly attractive, especially if they are, as mentioned, going to be pricey. Tools and helper coupons are particularly nice prizes, as are the party spins and baha giving cloud row. I like stars, but its not a "make or break" issue for me. The other prizes are quite nice.

Like that it is scheduled during the week. I know that is an issue for some people and am glad that you are responding by offering some mid week events.

Even given all that, it is unlikely I will complete this event. Why? its just way too close to the other events. Its one thing to spend an occasional weekend or even a couple weekdays here and there, it is quite another when it is every week, or close. I wound up spending money to complete the last event, which I regret. I joined for a relaxing, watch things build game with occasional special events. Now events are so often they are more of a drag than anything special. We feel sort of, maybe not "obligated", but definitely pulled to complete these events so we don't miss out on special pens and the like, but this is just too much. I am going to play. I hope to get the cloud row, at least. However, I have other things to do in my life.

You spend a lot of time and effort designing and creating these events. How about slowing it down a bit to let us enjoy them, instead of making it such a big push to complete them?

EDIT: I love the fact that cuckoo feed includes Catawpa (Angel's trumpets)! Now we have a need for the as well!

8)I agree with woody above - just tooooo many events too close together!!! No time to recover our farms that we took so much time building in the first place. If we had wanted to play an 'Events' game, that's what we'd be playing. Most of us who play this farming game do it because we want to build a farm!!
As for this event, beside the fact that there are waaay too many crop requirements a-g-a-i-n, the prizes are nice. It's also nice that we now have something to do with all those cuckoos left in our barns. Looking forward to seeing the new breeding cuckoos, too. I just hope the next BBD will be at least a week after the next event that's scheduled way too close to this one! I can barely catch my breath anymore!

I like the idea of an event that does not have many requirements like animals, breading animals and big number of crops, this event is all about event crops, drop items, cuckoos and feed and the temporary workshop which are all about the event theme, and nothing beside that is required, and I like the timed challenge even if it is little harder than before, I was going to complain about the mouse stalls, but when I saw many people need them, I changed my mind, I agree with what the other players said, just please give us more time between events.

I would have liked this event, but I am still very upset, and nothing on the farm is fun right now. Just watching the forum for news  what a shame :(

I like the event. I am glad nothing comes out of the barn and am glad no breeding animals. The 4 and 8 hour crop times are suitable for me. I like the challenge of the timed quest and the prizes are good. I also do like that we now have a way to use our cuckoos that have been collected from previous cuckoo breeding events.

    The drawbacks are:
The EP counter appears to be off on both of my farms
    Events are too close together
New additions of permanent stables and new workshops are too many too soon. I just placed both the platypus and snorkel shop away and prior to that was the kiwis. We are getting too many new animals and trees too fast to be able to enjoy them. They are often removed in order to make room for the new things or events making it difficult to actually get any stock built up or work on existing quests. There is no more room! Bio glue is very recent in the market and still no snorkels on my market and now adding a moustache....just too much....

I, too, am frustrated by waiting for official news in the forum...I am not sure what the delay is from. I read yesterday we would have an update this morning but it is now mid-afternoon CET and still no word. Not a happy farmer right now.

Eight cuckoos for the workshop...too many.
I think the most animals required are 3 for the cheese factory but the usual amount is 2.

I'm only level 28 and I'm not sure if I care to continue this game. I'm sick to death of sitting on the sidelines while everyone else gets to play, you say that this event starts from level 2 to 21 and that is absolutely ridiculous as until we can take advantage of the breads and jams we are just spinning our wheels trying to compete and that's not fun.
And even if we could get far enough to get the pen, we cant even feed it until level 43! So why isn't the event level realistic, its for level 40 or 43 because that's the only possible way to compete. Plus I read that everyone else here already has tens of thousands of these cuckoo's that we have to buy 400.00 feed to get ONE. Well isn't that brilliant

people are watching for news to come out? news on what?

Thanks to @julie1013 and @puppiesnponies posting in technical issues about missing EP's on the timer I find that I'm missing out on quite a lot of points. I've just harvested my mainland and my meadow (all comfort fields with a few 1x1 plots) and I'm already missing out on 2k of EP due to the points behind the decimals not being counted. This is quite ridiculous! I hope I'll make the 65k despite this huge difference (still two more fields to harvest). It feels very unfair that everything behind the decimals is not counted and thus I'm already missing out on 2k EP for the event with my first harvest.
If I wouldn't be able to complete step 1 in total, because of this, it would feel even more unfair.

I hope BP will change it's policy for future timed events. I mean, if everything behind the decimal can be counted for our level, than it can surely be counted on a timer. I don't see why the calculation (and thus the tech behind it) would be different.

I have not bothered with many of the Comic events even though I am level 93. I am doing this one for the cloud row as it seems a good prize. Will do last level if the drops are good.
It would have been nice to have had an extra diamond slot so we could have had CAC and PJ running together. When this alteration was made, it was promised we would occassionally get two diamond slots but to my knowledge this has rarely, if ever, happened.
We seem to have had a lot of events lately aimed solely at the higher players, with a few crumbs for the lower level players.
Perhaps a few easy events which only need the main field and meadow would keep the newcomers happy. I know there are the farmer's society quests to do but I remember when I first started that the special events were a big draw, especially for the stars, even though for the first year I did not complete one.
A few easier quests on less fields, would also mean we do not have to keep pulling our farms apart.
Alternatively have a new field that can only be used for events and MM, then we could keep our farming separate from the special events.

I just passed the first part. Wish we could have restarted that timer. I clicked it by mistake then found out I shouldn't have. Just got enough to continue but missed out on the good stuff.. Oh well.

The EP timer should count all the EP as it does on the farm level EP bar. Since it is the decimals per plot that are being ignored, it could add up to enough to make the difference of completing the level or not. It would be very difficult to say how much EP is actually needed for the event since it varies with pets, buffs, number of plots dedicated to the event, suzy spray...but it is safe to say it is more than the 65k as indicated in the FAQ. How much more? A few thousand?

FAQ now states that this is not a bug but technically programmed this way...my suggestion is to reprogram it so that it captures the EP correctly. It will make trying to develop a strategy more complicated (It can be done but would be tedious). Again, no point in asking 'why' developers programmed it this way. If I could understand the 'why' maybe I would not be as upset but this doesn't make any sense why the entire amount is not counted.

Edit: Sorry...just a clarification. EP is EP and as it is only the decimals that are not being included in the count, the most you can lose is a fraction of 1 EP per plot, the most being 202 plots on the main farm and green meadow. It can still be hundreds per harvest so while it is true you need more than 65k EP to complete the timed section, what needs to be considered during strategies is how many harvests it will take to get there and what buffs need to be applied to support your own schedule. Probably need closer to 67-70k to meet the requirement.

A "little" update: I've completed my first harvest. Mainland, meadow, glade and baha and I'm now missing a total of 3.5k event EP due to the timer not counting the EP after the decimal. >:(>:(>:(

I can only hope I will be able to complete step 1 despite missing thousands of event EP on the timer. If I'm not able to get to 65k event EP specifically due to this problem I WILL send a complaint to BP.
Of course, if I'm not doing what I'm supposed to and miss out on Event EP, that's a whole different story. In that case it would be just my own fault.
But this particular problem is something BP created. We actually need thousands more than 65k event EP to actually complete step 1, despite what both the FAQ and the in-game timer say. That is just unfair. I know the FAQ has been updated with this information, but the requirements remain the same, while actually we need thousands more EP........

I understand Teddy saying this counter is not possible otherwise, but if our level EP counter can count everything behind the decimal, why can't the event timer counter do the same? A counter is a counter....... There should be no difference. I know I'm not a hard-core game programmer (yet), but this can technically be done, or at least I think it can...... After all, our level EP counter is already doing it.

PRO: the set up of this event is great, I like when there are several tasks to complete

    CON: Oh so many!
I decided to completely boycott this event.

Several people (me included) have said that rare upgrades are a great reward. But yellow... give me a break, that's just inventory junk!

I would say that 99% of posts in the forum say "No more new pens and workshops, not so fast and furious," and what do we get? Another pen and workshop.
Not to mention the complete and utter destruction of the fun of Cuckoos.
Not to mention doing this to Cuckoos just pulled another easy compete item away from the newbies.

If I just made Cuckoo quests more difficult for myself, I don't care and I'll live through it.

I'm totally disgusted with the way things are going.

    Disappointed.
Could get only 55k EP although used easter marmalade, zucchini bread, carrot bread. Also event crop donation requirement is way too many as if we do not have anything to do but just play.
And people want a little break to recover from many events!

As stated multiple times above, and in a million different posts and feedback threads: Too many events with not enough down time, too many new trees, animals and (for me, at least) quests. I started playing events to add a challenge to the game, but now I find that I seldom get beyond a few levels of any event, or skip it entirely, because being a part time farmer means I just can not keep up.

By reading previous comments, I feel a bit as "alien" because it seams I'm the only one to enjoy it, but what to do.

    Generally speaking:
In few previous events, I noticed that we where able to win "main prize" without finishing every little step of the events, and I think that is a good thing. For example, cloud row in this event is definitely worth the effort, but we don't need to finish last step to get it. Considering that last step require resources as (roughly) previous 5 together, I can honestly say I appreciate such approach from game designers. Hi level players still have some unique (and probably needed in future) prize to aim for, while "the rest of us" can win worthy thing as well.

    Specifically speaking:
Great that there was no breading animals required.
Good that all those cuckoos from previous events found their purpose, lol.
First step was way too difficult. Honest congratulations to anyone who managed to pull it off. I simply didn't bother.
Prizes for steps 2-5 where ok. Nothing special, but ok for me.

Requirements for this quest are RIDICULOUS!! Some of us actually work for a living...I am sorry to sound upset, but I have been quiet for awhile. I play this game to have fun...not to constantly have to resign myself to the fact that I don't have a chance from the get-go! It makes me feel like the money I have sunk into this game has all been a waste....:cry::(:sleepy:

I couldn't play because of my work schedule this week bit I still have feedback. I think making cuckoo's a regular breeding animal is a horrible idea, I'm more than disappointed.

I was at a fairly low level and I couldn't get anywhere in events, when the very first cuckoo event came out it was the very first time I was able to actually try to complete an event. I didn't complete it but I was sooooo excited that I got far enough to get a Red Chicken coop and a Red Rabbit hutch, I was on cloud 9 that I finally got some where in an event. OMG that was fun for me, Cuckoo's were my favorite, I remember that like it was yesterday.

You just took that all away from me, you took the fun away and made it work. And you also just took that same possibility of excitement away from every player that's joined since the last cuckoo event. You just keep turning your heads on the lower level players, I invite my friends and they are leaving the game.
When was the last time that there was an event that player levels in the 20-30's could play? I think you should man-up and put a "close my account" tab in the account settings and then you can see what's really happening. I don't know what you guys are thinking - or if you're thinking at all.
