LOL abubadi66, at least you are honest about lack of control with the nutella..... my husband still blaming the very very clever mice, that can climb up, open pantry door, scale 6 shelves, locate carefully hidden jar, (all with silver spoon tied to back) open it, use spoon to wolf the whole lot down and then very thoughtfully leave the spoon in the sink for me to wash up....xDxDxD

Is that clever mouse about 5 or 6 feet tall and walks on two legs? xD

Oh yes, very tall and also very crafty ...LOL... so crafty, the mouse put the empty jar back.... the mistake was leaving the spoon with chocolate on it for me to wash up....LOL...otherwise I would never have known xDxDxD

@CaliChrome ..are Hershey and Cadbury connected then? I know it was on the News here a while back about Cadbury changing the Creme Egg recipe and a lot of people saying it wasn't as nice (I've not had one since so I can't comment......YET!!;))
Sending you a huge Cadbury Easter Egg through the ether for you to scoff...... :p

@Chris_2_4 ..you got the right idea there my friend!! Easter eggs, in date and reduced, yes please......nom nom nom.

    Who can resist to chocholate?:sleepy:
Unfortunately I can't:oops: I like so much all the chocolate sweets(milk chocolate not the black ones) but strangely I don't like chocolate ice-cream! Does this happen to anyone else?
It is a tradition in Greece to make these (I don't know how they are called)
[IMG] I can't find a better photo. They are delicious and a lot of times they put an egg inside [IMG]
Do you know how these can taste even better?
[IMG] If they have chocolate cover and chocolate inside them:inlove:

Maybe not so clever then? (A clever mouse would have washed the spoon and put it away!)

In the US, Hershey is licensed to make and distribute Cadbury. The problem is that they changed the formula. Apparently they are allowed to do so. -.-

If you look at the ingredients, a Hershey made Cadbury Dairy Milk bar lists sugar as it's first ingredient. A British one lists milk. Hershey sued shops that were importing from the UK. Bar sizes and color are a bit different.

Are you kidding me kmellish, the joy of eating the nutella is by sneaking and using a spoon, forget about spreading it on bread, just direct to your mouth, and you speak about control, well I have some control, I eat one spoon at a time, other wise the jar won't last for another day, and speaking of mice (mouse) oh they do climb, you may laugh at me, but some times I buy Cerelac (babies food) I got used to it after I have gone under operation (Gastric Band) so I was not allowed to eat solid food for six weeks, the first 2 where juice, milk and soup only allowed, the next 4 weeks I have to eat paists, if I have to eat solids like meat and vegetable, have to put them in the blender mixer, so I take the steel can to my work and just ate once from it and left it over a file cabinet, in the morning I found the mouse had sneaked up over the cabinet using an electric wire to climb and managed to get over the cane and grinded the plastic cover and the thin metal sheet just to open a hole for his head and ate my Cerelac.

@Arielh, yes, I don't like the chocolate ice-cream any more, but when I was a kid, I used to enjoy it much that I remember I got beaten by my mom when she send me to the vendor to buy Ice-cream cones, and I bought it all chocolate which made my sister cry, so I sneaked and hide and started to eat it alone, my mom found me, took my cone and threw it in the garbage and gave me a beating that I never forget.

ArielH - I call that bread 'Challah' - traditional Easter bread and sooo good. I made it once, long ago. It turned out well (which is amazing considering my cooking skills at the time).

Nutella...yum! DH doesn't like hazelnuts, so he won't eat it. Yay! More for me! I'm surprised that Kmellish's DH didn't have a wicked tummy ache from eating it all at once. I would have - too rich. It's really good on saltine crackers - you get that sweet and salty fix all at once.

I always wanted that big chocolate river from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (the book version not that dreadful movie)

I prefer dark chocolate to milk usually, Ghiradelli makes a dark chocolate with sea salt carmel square that is just scrumptious. I don't like white chocolate at all, then again it's not really chocolate is it? Just an overly sweet impostor chocolate wannabe.

LOL Sewinglady !! My hubby has the digestive system of a goat !!! He can eat anything, even stuff I would not give my dogs or parrot... if I thought it was a bit dodgy. He is never ever sick... The only chocolate I ever saw him refuse was some 99% chocolate discs I got him, when he ate the first one he looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp ..... :wuerg:it sucked all the moisture out of his mouth...lolxDxDxDxDxDxD

Taste is vastly different from the US version to the UK one. Let's face it if they could sell true Cadbury chocolates in the US Hershey would soon be out of business. The UK version of Nestle is even better. The only US candy I like much better to it's UK counterpart are M&M's. Sorry Smarties don't even come close to being as good.

Man I'm seriously jonesing for some chocolate now. Time to bake brownies!!!! :D

Maybe that's why you don't like it anymore:p
I couldn't find anywhere it's English name. Thank you for telling me. I made it once with my Godmother and her daughters some years ago. She invited me to her house and we also baked cookies for Easter. All tasted so good because we made them...

    DARK chocolate, anything DARK chocolate.

Girl Scout cookies aren't as good as when we were growing up. I suspect they may have messed with the ingredients and are now using less Girls Scouts. But Hey - from a paramilitary group they still aren't bad. WAY better than the Marine Corps cookies...

Although it would be much easier to tell a Marine in full combat gear and an automatic weapon "no"......

BeeDance - have you been watching the Addams' Family Movies? I love it when Wednesday asks if the cookies are made with real girl scouts! xD

Okay, all you chocoholics - time to discuss gourmet chocolate.

How many of you have had Godiva chocolate and what did you think? In Seattle, we could go to the confectionary store and buy just one piece. There were so many to choose from. And they were all so good. But, the ones I can get here in a box? They don't seem near as special.

The Bon Marche bought the recipe/rights to Frangos when Frederick & Nelson when out of business. Then The Bon was bought by Macy's. I don't know if they are quite as good as they used to be, but their meltaways are pretty fine.

Then there's Purdy's. Canadian company... their chocolate covered toffee - to die for.

And last but not least...The Parrot. Helena, Montana. They handmake everything on site. You haven't tasted chocolate heaven until you've had a chocolate from the Parrot. :inlove:

I guess I need to make a trip to Helena. Where in Helena is it? (Have you ridden the carousel and had some Wilcoxsin's on a cone or in a dish? (Across from Carroll College.)
