From 1 to level 21 in 7 days...that's fast, right? (did I mention I was an overachiever?)

    Congratulations Clashstrummer!
Sounds fast to me. It does slow down some as you go... more and more is required; but more things open as well. keep up the great farming!
BTW - "Night" farming begins soon (the 4th). You can only grow the special plants on the main farm, and then only by clicking on the timer and the darkened icon. It will only let you grow the special plants or regular ones. You'll see Jack's Shop which will show what's required to buy various items. Crows and I believe bats are obtainable through Jack's Shop. This runs about once a month. Hopefully others can add to this and explain things better if you need.

So that starts tomorrow? This will be my first 'night' event. I started playing right after the last one.

I've only been playing for a few more weeks than Clashstrummer (and yeah level 21 in a week's time seems about right, but BeeDance is right - it slows down considerably as you move up the ladder - I'm at 57 after about 27 days and I wouldn't be here if it weren't for all the EP I've gotten from these eggs).

Okay, just checked and I went from 1 to 17 in 6 days...so you've got the record as I'm pretty sure I didn't get to 21 from 17 overnight...you win, you overachiever, Clashstrummer!

That's the Moonlight Mania event, correct? I'm looking forward to being able to participate.

Yep, that's Moonlight Mania (referred to often as MM). The FAQ has a lot of good information in it, you can find it here. Have fun planting spooky crops! :D

Hi, I have a question related to the moon event: I want to breed bats, and when I have gone to the breeding shed previously it said "Unlock during full moon event" so I have waited, and here is the full moon... and it still says the same thing :( what to do?

There are things that you have to unlock through the MM event. If you click on jack's shop sign above the regular sign to back out of the field you can find the requirements there.

LOL Chris welcome to Farmerama, where you have to gather thousands of plants to do anything. That's the game! :D

You can harvest MM crops after the event. So, here you have 2 options: 1. Grow shorter term crops DURING the event and get as much as you can and then set a crop overnight for the longer ones. or 2. Again grow what you can during the day and if you have access to comfort fields and don't mind those plots being used for a while, plant a long term MM crop in the CFs right before the event ends!!

What are comfort fields? Sorry point me to a FAQ if need be but I've not come across that one.

Edited as I just saw the answer to my other question in another thread.

I'm almost there...level 60 - so near, yet so far away. Maybe the bunnies will gift me with enough EP through my final bouquets.

Hi again (sorry for all the questions, but you guys are great!)
On the tree where you spend your stars, there is one icon called "baby boom" (i think) and it offers "a 20% chance to get 4 basic animals or 1 randomly selected animal": now, maybe I am reading that wrong, but it seems like shooting yourself in the face. If you breed 4 basics to get one of the next level, and you get 4 basics back, you have just wasted 2 powerfeeds and x amount of pheromones. If you want the next animal up the scale (say a blackie sheep) and you breed 4... whatever the one below that is, and you get 4 basics, then you have actually lost the aforementioned items AND 4 upper level sheep! So, what is the point? Just Russian Roulette, or am I missing something?

    From that page:

    Baby boom

20% more chance to receive extra animals
These could be either a random breeding animal or
4 standard animals. But are always from the same kind: pig -> pig, cow -> cow etc.

So I think this is in addition to what you normally get when you breed...or maybe someone who has it unlocked could tell us.

And, I apologize for the weird font thing - I still don't know what I did to make it do this!

Somewhere in the wee hours of the morning, while I was waiting for my MM crops to mature so I could sneak in one more planting, I had an epiphany. Well that is to say I was reading through game strategy threads to see if someone had posted about if it was better to open up more of the magical glade or to open up the island first, when I came across a thread by feelfree2win. The way he explained his technique of buying and selling in the market finally made sense to me.

In the space of an hour I was able to sell my in demand items and make enough cash to buy up the items I needed to complete a FSQ, boost myself from level 24 to level 31 and end up with over 120k. :D

Now I don't think I'm ready to become a commodities trader in RL but I think I finally have a grasp of how the in game market works. I still don't know if it's better to open up the magical glade or go with Baha island first and I'm sure somewhere there must be a thread discussing this...I will find it eventually. ;)

sewinglady, it looks like you set your type to bold? Bold is the B on the left of the row above this line looked boxed? If so, just click it again before you type anymore and it will go away.

Chris, the rune on the tree acts like your own BBD on any breeding. It is normally a good thing although it can be an issue when you only want an animal one level up. You might get an animal above the normal level or you might get the expected animal and one or more other animals of the same or lower level.
