    you are wright, when you breed 4 animals, with the rune you have a chance to get either 2 or 4 regular animals or a colored animal beside the colored you get, just like baby boom day, but the difference with baby boom is that the extra animals are guaranteed always, with this rune it is 20% chance, the good thing about this rune that it adds up with baby boom day so the results are much better like getting 3 colored, or 1 colored and 6 regulars.

    every player have his own thinking and eventually you will need both, the only difference I see that is opening the Island does not help you level up your farm directly and in the beginning the progress on Bahama is going to be slow, my advice is open the glade, do more FSQs and collect stars, you need many to open the Bahama, it needs a lot of stars, but once you open it you won't need stars for Bahama anymore, you will start the race to collect golden bananas.

    I think you have to open the glade first, Clashstrummer - because you open Bahamarama from the tree of Wisdom...which is in the magical glade - so first one, then the other. And I felt that opening Bahamarama up was important - now, I'm not so sure. Just realized you probably meant by 'open up' - to have all 4 sections open on the magical glade OR spend the stars to open bahamarama. Do all four sections of the glade first. Then Bahamarama. I didn't do this, and then it took me a while to get the fourth section of the glade opened up...so learn from my fail.

    I've got a couple of quick questions.

    1. How do you tell which market you are in? I see people mentioning their market numbers so there must be a way but I can't seem to find it.

    2. I got a "wedding boutonniere" from a wheel spin and I'm unsure of how to use it. Does it just literally give 40 EP the one time when I do so and that's it?

    Ah, thank you both Cali and Sewinglady. I think I get it now :) (although I don't know what a BBD is). So, I should get my desired animal AND the others too, or a higher one; right?

    1. The easiest way to tell your market is to look in Golden Leaf for a price of 88.88
    The amount of items for sale is your market number.

    2. The wedding boutonniere only gives Florist Craft building points not EP. If you have or are planning to open a Florist Craft, you can use it there. If you don't have or are not planning to open a Florist Craft, you can sell it (if you are over farm level 40) or gift it.

    Chris, BBD = Baby Boom Day(s)

    Thanks for the input abubadi66 and sewinglady! I did decide to open up more of the glade and I think it was the right choice for me. :)

    Exactly as it states, about every 5th time you get what you bred PLUS something extra. You might get another breed of that animal, you might get 4 "regular" ones. If you breed a pig it will be something in the pig line; a cow in the cow line, etc.

    When the Baby boom is activated the double animals still come, but you still get this extra about one chance in five.

    Though you found it I thought I'd reply in case others haven't:
    Comfort fields are like the regular fields except you can grow 3x as many crops in the same area (you have to use 3 crops instead of one to plant). The trade off is it take 4x as long to grow. That is not an issue if you are going to be away longer than the growing time (work, school, sleep). You can delete these fields and go back to regular fields as you like, just like swapping fields for trees or animals. Many will plant crops in the comfort field before quitting for the night so they have 3x as many to harvest in the morning, then change back to regular for the daytime.
    It only requires one fertilizer, Suzy's feed, and/or water just like a regular field; so if you grow things that might take longer than you sleep you can still cut down the growing time by the same % as regular fields.
    I don't remember if comfort fields are available at level 40 or 60 but they are fun when you get them.

    Wow! I got through all that without a stupid pun or joke! Dear Diary, you're not gonna believe this......

    Thanks to the bunnies, I have now dabbled with comfort fields! Level 60 is when you can access them. Now I know why I've been getting good prices for my manure...it actually shortens growing time on comfort fields by a measurable amount of time. I may have to suck it up and open that 10% manure rune.

    Just to add to what BeeDance said, comfort fields give twice the normal EP and twice the normal drops (for 4x the growing time) :)

    Hello again, another question. From the bunnies I received a "spring clean" which gives 1700 experience points; now, unlike the other decorative items, it seems I can set it in the main farm or baha: so my question is this - if I plant it in baha will it contribute to baha experience? As a 4x4 thing, it takes a lot of valuable space, but if it will help me get up those levels quicker, it may well be worth putting there. If not, if it provides just regular xp, then I won't waste the space.
    Thanks in anticipation of your insights.

    It will give BEP on bahamarama :D

    In fact, all the items from this event can be placed on bahamarama and will give BEP. If you check the FAQ it says the items give EP or BEP (depending on where they are placed) :)

    :) Super. Although I did get a "googley egg" before, and that would not let me place it on baha :music: It had a yellow circle on it when I tried. So, not all it seems. Unless that is related to the bug mentioned in another thread.
    Thanks Mir85. I will plant my spring clean when the plants are harvested there

    That is strange, it should be possible according to the FAQ. I have mine on the cloud row, so I cannot check. But you can ask in General issues if you want to be sure :)

    I can't quite understand why I should be trying to fill customer orders. They give such a tiny amount of EP and CC and don't give stars that it really seems like I'm just wasting my inventory on them. Do they get better if I actually fill the orders?

  17. -Mir85-

    -Mir85- Living Forum Legend

    Only some things are worth supplying the customers with: Fruit and long term crops (kohlrabi and longer crops). For new players I think the only customer worth paying attention to, is Naiomi Camel :)

    o_Ops! Thanks for the addition Mir! I forgot about EPs and such. Senility is such a pain - well except at Easter when I can hide my own eggs.

    =====

    Clash, I only bother with the customer orders that give Island EPs as Mir mentioned. I'm getting to the point where I even have to weigh some of them since I can use some crops in artisan (Spa) to get those gilt (or is it gilded) bananas quicker.

    =====

    Sewinglady, in my opinion getting that rune for the 10% speedup for fertilizer is worth the stars and effort. I suppose others might say go for other things but I like the results on my farms & island.

    Edit: oops o_O what I suffer from is actually staying up too late :sleepy:

    The customer I mentioned, gives regular EP, it's the one who only ask for fruits.

    But the island customer can be very rewarding too - again the key word is fruit. My thumb rule is that if at least half of the order is for fruit, then it is a good deal. So if the order calls for 2 different fruit and something else, or 1 fruit and 1 other thing, go for it :D If the order is for one fruit and two other things, then you have to consider, but I don't even consider the other orders (for instance only crops and animals).
