Animal feed

with new mill rules, thoughts on price of feed?
has anyone started scooping up feed at the market at current prices? i can only see prices for feed start to go higher in the coming weeks.

 

I bulk bought a load of chicken and rabbit feed - noticed prices have started to increase - people will probably tie their mills up with PF in light of the increased time it takes to produce it.

 

I am not changing, except that I will no longer be spending real money. If playing takes too much time, if I am not able to finish my goals without spending $, then I will simply quit.

 

I think feed may increase given now the partial completion is no longer allowed. It only means I will mill in small batches rather than large. As someone (Avienne I think) said in the feedback thread, I will use the third slot to monitor my feed levels since the feed overview of your stock is not visible in the new mill. I also wonder if it will mean more farmers will convert to crop farming with PF milling continuously or will only focus on a few animals as it really does take a lot of juggling to keep feed for all the animals.

 

I keep my mill running 24/7. With the old mill I always ran what ever I was lowest on for 24hrs. Now I just start with the lowest and run 100 of each for the first 2 slots then PF in the 3rd. As each finishes I repeat the process. Needless to say those feeds I rarely use are at high numbers. On my lowest level farm I still am struggling on getting my numbers up on some feeds. But it will even out eventually.

 

I just keep putting in 1 PF orders. Three in a row. I'll worry about other feeds when I have time to really care. (I won't lose more than a single PF if I cancel.)

 

prices are definitely on the rise for feed. what i have noticed though, price for product to make the feed is outpacing the actual feed. even with these higher prices for feed, feed still has more room to climb.
