Feedback Mill Changes (Part II), Producer Newsletter and Compensation

I tend to agree with you. However, if this is in fact true, BP has forgotten (or is wilfully ignoring yet another) very important point. Anyone who pays for something is much more likely to complain when they don't get what they thought they were paying for. This was one of the main triggers for the original furor over the mill-CR (which we paid BBs for, and many of us had paid RM for those BBs). New players might pay for something once or twice, but if BP keeps this up, those players will get even more vocal than the community already is, and are more likely to leave because they don't have a large loyalty investment like the older players.

Result: BP ultimately loses more money than they make. A seven-year-old could tell you the problem with that.

they always say thanks for your feedback your comments , complaints and whatever else we say has been forwared to the game team rightttt i think it all goes in the trash bin. cos nothing ever changes for the good . they dont realize its us players that keep this game going so why not listen to what we want . bp u keep adding trees, pens , quest why ? when u dont give us the things we need to play happily . the game gets more frustrating everyday.its al about money spending in this game not about fun again shame on u bp for so many unhappy farmers. mighty strange no bulls on this farm but got a lot of bull manure

I feel really let down and extremely disappointed by BP... The new mill is a 'dud' as far as I am concerned and my cloud row almost next to 'useless'. I would rather have the old mill back. The changes over the last few months in this game seem heavily slanted into pushing players to pay more money. Some people can and do afford to spend some, some players cannot afford to spend any, but do promote the game in other ways but I suspect the majority of players do not have 'bottomless' pockets and will eventually go and find entertainment elsewhere.

I also note that BP have not yet addressed the issue of those elusive 'stars' other than admit that it was a mistake to remove them, a mistake that they are taking their time to rectify it would seem as we have since had both an event and a new FSQ added to the game ... with surprise surprise... NO 'stars' !! and we have been given absolutely no clue whatsoever as to how we are now supposed to get them leading me to suspect that they will need to be 'paid' for in the future with real money. No doubt BP will make a grand announcement offering special packages at reduced rates for them.

The eagerly awaited coral reef also seems to have become more of a myth than a reality as little or no mention has been made of it recently. Whereas I appreciate that the developers have been busy working hard on working out how to fool players over the new mill, an update on the reef would have perhaps sweetened that particularly bitter pill.

I also happen to think the deafening wall of silence over the DE forum problems is truly appalling. We are a community after all regardless of which language we speak and I feel to 'gag' players, mod's and refuse to translate an O/A into the appropriate language for the other forums is basically wrong. Particularly as this is a German game that wants to encourage international players to spend money.

As far as I am concerned, the only people coming out smelling of roses in this are the English forum mods who have experienced several months now of frustrated and angry players, including German ones. Their replies have always been quick, polite and apologetic for things which have been totally out of their control and I applaud them for their patience.

I am not going to indulge myself in spending any more money on this game right now .... no mega ep day, no wonder trees and no more power feed..... nothing. I am going to wait to see what changes occur over the next four weeks or so and then make a decision as to whether I should abandon this farm and find entertainment elsewhere or not.

In this particular situation, BP isn't even losing inventory as it is all Virtual. It isn't as if the row is still available for purchase. This fits in with the no longer available items like Magic Trees, BB trees, Cloud Rows that give BBs (I think I read that somewhere). I'm sure BP wishes there were none of these left around as they "take away" BPs chances of money being spent but so far, they haven't done anything to reduce benefits or take them away altogether. But now there seems to be a big effort from BP to "fix" things that have been in use for long periods. It started with something that had been "wrong" for 4 years. Now it is expanding.

Where will it stop?

 

It will stop BC if all of us stop playing then what will BP do, probably nothing as they see they are doing nothing wrong with implementing changes. All they want is our hard earned money

 

On top of all the intentionally bad changes, it doesn't even work the way it is supposed too. I have had an interesting day keeping track of my mill, take a look here.

 

I agree with what has been posted before on the "bait and switch" tactics used around the cloud row and the mill subscription. The provided bonus code does not compensate the cloud row purchased and mill subscription. I do not understand why BP is not taking a real look into our issues surrounding the mill. I cannot believe we now have a mill that requires all items in the batch to complete or lose all progress to date. I realize they are in business to make money but with disgruntled users or users jumping ship they will no be raking in the monies they desire. At this point my vote is to put it back the way it was. At least it worked and we got value for what was paid in.

 

All these problems and frustrations are a real bummer! I cannot believe we cannot utilize milled feed Until it's all done! This certainly was Not the case during the Easter event(which was great)! I'm not going near the mill once I've started milling...for fear I accidentally cancel a production(which I've done in the past). I'm also 1 of the fools to buy the CR that was to reduce milling time!

However, my biggest gripe is the lack of info regarding the Coral Reef! In Varun's Sept. 4th newsletter, he stated that the next month would have a definite release date...then restated in Nov....that it would be in the beginning of 2015! I'm tired of waiting!!! That was 7 months ago!!!
I have been playing for over 4 years....and am at level 99 on main and 274 on baha....and my enthusiasm is waning...Big Time!!! I don't want anymore new trees, animals or production pens!!!! How many have been introduced since January???

If you(BP) would Stop with the new stuff and concentrate on the reef....it would be here by now!!!!
Please give us some specific, concrete info on the reef!!!

Wow, what a come down after everyone was raving about the Easter Event!! Think you're gonna have to sort this one out pretty sharpish BP 'cos you've got a lot of very unhappy customers here..and don't forget, they are some of your bread and butter customers (i.e ones that pay RL ££ on the game..including myself!).

To be honest I hadn't even noticed that it had upped the Mill time on PF until I came on here and discovered everyone having a rant! (i.e that particular information was left rather quiet in the hope it would go unnoticed I suppose!)

My P.O on this so far:
1, I do buy the Mill subscription so yes I still benefit but you've stuck an extra half hour on the PF time and even though my Mill sub was still running yesterday it's still took 26hrs to mill 4xPF...
I ain't happy and unless this is all sorted soon I might have to reconsider my future purchases!

2, Refunds should be offered to those that bought the Cloud Row IF you don't change it back to what it was supposed to do as advertised when sold. It is just plain wrong to change what it does after being purchased esp when it's not in the players favour! And 2 weeks of Harv Functions is definitely not a suitable compensation for something that is affected permanently!!

3, I'm sorry but personally I don't see why compensation should be given to those not affected. This is about an item bought with BB's that are either saved throughout the game or (more likely) paid for with RL ££, same goes for the Mill Sub! I have regularly bought BB's with RL ££ throughout the 8 mths I've been playing this game. I am on a low income but as this is my only entertainment I treat myself to some BB's/Mill Sub when I can (and I'd just started purchasing the Harvester functions to make life a lot easier considering I am on this game far too much, although that could well change pretty quickly!!!) but if we're gonna get messed about I will reconsider! For me personally, I would be inclined to spend a little more often if the prices of some of these virtual goods were a bit more reasonable!

4, I can understand that the not giving feed until all is done can save glitches like what happened in the Easter Event but it still a bad idea in the long run! The Mill is an integral part of the game and should work in the players favour. I like the new Mill design IF it worked effectively but it seems to be failing a lot of players very quickly. Yeah it's great you gave us the third slot free but if we feel we can't risk doing decent amounts of feed and lose time and goods if cancelled before completion then it's all been a waste of time.

5, Still no stars...I'm one of the players who still needs lots of them to get more runes opened (esp that darn LL rune!!) and because of the time spent doing the events I get very little chance to grow things to complete FSQ's to get those stars (seen as they've been taken out of the event rewards!)

6, Like other people have said, this is a game not a job! I too can spend a ridiculous amount of time planning and working things out for the farm/events etc but it didn't matter because I enjoyed it. However, of late it has started to become a bit tiresome, the constant events, the constant new this, that and the other (that coincidentally require BB's to get unless you wanna wait months in the hope you might win them in an event reward!), the constant clearing of fields for events, it's becoming less fun, for me at least. And to be honest, like many have said, I'd rather you bring the old Mill back if it's not going to get sorted out because this is getting too confusing and tedious. I know this game is a job to you but why don't you spend more time on the things you have promised us and less on the stuff that everyone seems to complain about! Surely that would make more sense but then like I say I have no idea what the process is or how long it takes...perhaps an idea could be for the Farmerama team to give us a video clip to give us an idea of the goings on at BP and to show the process and give us an idea of the time that it takes to implement certain things in the game, so maybe we could be more forgiving when the ****-ups do occur..(if something like this already exists please do let me know as I'd be very interested in viewing it!)

I have 'met' some really nice people on here and would like to continue getting to know them and enjoying the wonderful camaraderie on the forum. I would also like to continue playing and enjoying this game as in the main it is an excellent game in many ways and taking a moment to be positive, I thank BP and it's crew for this brilliant game and it's fantastic graphics! But it is just a game and it's supposed to be fun and I hope BP that you look after your Mods very well as they are the ones on the front line as it were and have to read through the ongoing complaints and deal first hand with all the ****-ups when they occur...
a big thank you Mods for your ever lasting patience and for your (sometimes) very sweet replies even in the face of us all whinging and whining...

I have no idea how much work and time goes in to the work you do BP as I am not a techy person. I just hope that you will take our feedback on board and have the decency to at least respond and give us honest answers as to what will happen (if anything) about all this so that at least we can feel there is some acknowledgement of the situation. The fact that not only do you have a lot of unhappy customers on the EN forum, it also seems to be elsewhere aswell,should be enough of a concern to you that a fast response is carried out to minimise the risk of your loyal players boycotting the game!!!

Make us love you again BP!!! (we wanna stay on the farm!)

 

Please revisit the mill and get it sorted pronto. Pretty Please!

I think the main issue with the mill as far as i can see from messing about waiting on the mill .... is the cloud row has one of either two effects ... it either INCREASES as in time to finish the time to mill power feed ..... Or it's not working at all .... this is just what is happening in my case Have had BOTH things happen ..... and secondly i have mill subscription ...... where it SHOULD be 4 hours to mill one power feed without the cloud row activated it's now at 4.30minutes ..... Now i know a extra 30 minutes may not sound like much BUT when you mill 6 units at a time it adds up i just hope someone fixes this issue for everyone and has a decency to come and address us to explain what actions have been taken to fix this problem .....I know it's not the MODS fault .... i think this is the place we need one of the powers that be address us .... and not take a month or two to decide to do so ..... as has been said some of us have paid good very real money to have the access to a faster mill .... and i'm sorry but if i paid for a faster milling time I'm not just happy to sit by with grace ..... till it decides it might mill it ....

I think you misunderstand my comment. First of all I know that will never happen so it was not an "idea". That doesn't mean I can't wish for that. I think I didn't do anything wrong by dreaming. And the last thing I can see that "we can access the regular mill on Baha, but not actually mill those products (I was talking about PF not all products but... well) on Baha". You see, I'm not blind or stupid

Perhaps if we urge BP not to take our suggestions on board they might implement a few of our requests? Going against what we say seems to be their preferred method, so telling them not to listen might just make our voices heard?
