Feedback April Wonder Trees & Herbarium Quest

We are brave to ask for your Feedback now, and we can anticipate most of it - but we would like to ask you to please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the Wonder Trees April edition, as well as the Special Tree packages and the new Herbarium in this Feedback thread.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you hate it or like it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

So here I go. Usually I love the wonder trees, I enjoy the surprise and often find I get good value for money. This time however I will not purchase for a number of reasons:
1. I physically do not have the space to accommodate any more new trees.
2. The rare fruits are for a quest with paltry rewards and no stars ergo, I do not want/need them.
3. I can virtually guarantee that I will end up with an inordinate number of the outgoing trees that I don't need.
4. After all your recent "fixes" that are to my detriment why would I want to line your pockets by spending RL money on the game?

I will not be purchasing new trees and will not be completing the Herbarium quest for the following reasons:

1) I have no space to accomodate new trees, and the constant introduction of new trees, animals and production pens is exhausting. It has taken something that used to be fun (normally I enjoy surprises), and turned it into another source of frustration given that the new quests all require at least one donation from whatever the newest "rare" introduction is. This is a blatant push for spending money to obtain the "rare" thing, and I refuse to comply.

2) The lack of stars in the Herbarium quest means that the rewards aren't attractive enough to spend my rare fruits on the quest.

3) The option to redo the Herbarium quest for the same paltry rewards again is useless. I would have preferred another one-time only permanent quest containing stars, and would have happily completed it in that format.

Hi Teddy, Bless you because you have the patience of a saint .... I am mentally showering you with chocolate goodies of all types and at the same time hoping fervently that you do not get fed up with all the repetitive complaints and retire to a chocolate 'lined' Bear Cave.

I completely agree with the post's above, could not have put it better myself, so really have nothing more to add other than I really hope that BP are reading and listening the players complaints and act swiftly before they start losing players .... I am teetering right on the edge here.

 

TCRooster has hit the main points. I have acquired half the trees I normally get and only then because I have earned BBs from the theater. I am suspending all further Real Money purchases until I feel BP has put in place acceptable solutions to the current issues. I no longer care if I get the new trees or complete the quests in a timely manner. I can always find other places to spend my discretionary cash.

 

Not much to add to first 2 posts. All those "wonder" events are starting to get too frequent, and each with another permanent event, with just newly presented animal/tree, so you couldn't possibly finish it without opening your wallet.
Thank God, I do have money, but I don't need leisure game to push me to spend more.
I'll pass (for a looong period).

 

To spend 420 BBs and ensure winning the new trees and then to obtain "big" prizes: few standard toolboxes that we can get trough neighbour gifts, a little bit of EPs/BEPs and stickers!!!! You must be kidding!!!!

 

My purse is staying shut - as others have mentioned there is no room for more new trees and I have plenty of quests elsewhere. I used to feel I would be able to catch up sometime in the near future but now I have decided to plod along without spending my precious BB on anything 'new' especially when I may not end up with anything 'new' at all.

 

Add me as another player who is refusing to buy any of these new trees. As stated above, we don't have room for the things we already have. Stop pushing more of them. The new quests are a waste of time and resources for the poor prizes they give. Also, since you increased the Power Feed mill time in an obvious attempt to force people to buy more of it, I'm not buying anything at all from the game. Finally, as a Level 88 player, I'm tired of being punished for sticking with the game. The odds that I'll get anything decent from the wonder trees or stalls is next to nil; only lower level players have a halfway decent shot of getting something worth the cost.

 

As we still have no long long long requested orchard to place new trees, ..... I will not buy anymore trees.
The herbarium quest prizes are so rediculous that i'm not even considering donating one fruit to it.

 

I also will not purchasing bills to get trees which I very much doubt I will get any new ones, which means it is my loss but a bigger loss is for BP as it seems many are not participating in this event and new FSQ which BP promised the stars Will return for permanent quests but yet again we have been lied to. So not for me until BP treat us as human beings and not cash cows.

 

Add my name to the ever-expanding list of people who will no longer be buying things from BP. The reasons were covered perfectly in the first post (by TCRooster), as well as by those who posted after.

My feedback for the Wonder Trees/Herbarium quest (also known as "Attempt #76,839,001 to get my money") : Stop, BP. Just stop.

 

I have to say I agree completely with the above comments. And I will not be doing this new quest at all - it is ridiculous. Such expensive contributions for such puny rewards - HA - laughable. However, I am embarrassed to say (because I feel like a traitor to our cause) that I did break down and buy a few trees.....but only about 1/10th of what I would normally buy. And I did not spend any RL$ - already had the BB's. Why would I do this?? *Gulp* Because I am so curious I can't help myself! I know, I know - curiosity killed the cat.....but I hope you will all forgive me instead.....pleeeease??

 

Farmelily, there is no need to feel guilty as this is suppose to be a 'game' and we all play how we want to play but BP want it to make it into a mega cash making business for themselves. I think we all have previously bought in game purchases and that is our own personal choice so no need for you Again to be guilty. But as everyone is saying enough is enough

 

I like the idea of 5bb wonder tree sales and don't have a problem taking my time with quests but I think if you put a timer on a quest and it requires real money to complete it, or a lot of saved up resources, or time and effort, it should have good rewards. When people feel like they are cash-cows being milked for evey penny, that's when they stop spending. The Easter quest was about right, even lower level players could benefit by harvesting plants for eps to level up without being profligate with real life cash. I actually thought players were a bit greedy wanting more after the 100 egg mark.

But too much of the game focus in general is on expensive real life purchases. It's much easier to treat yourself to small purchases which feel worth it and much easier to do it more often too. If every player spent £1/month, that's a lot of cash and probably more likely than even half spending £10 a month or more on events - especially after a few where people feel it wasn't worth it. Buyers always want value for money, especially when purchases are large or frequent.

For tree sales events, could there not be a type for normal tree upgrades (good for beginners) and a type for rare trees (pleasing for everyone - you always get something rare). Say not too frequent, 5bb and 10bb each and event to go with with good rewards. I've seen mention of an orchard field and that would be fantastic (one Baha, one mainland or new locale) so long as opening it and clearing it aren't too extotionate

 

Big packages for big BBs (which for most requires big Real Money) just to guarantee 1 tree of the new type. I didn't like it before. I still don't like it. 30 more trees which will in all probability wind up in inventory as there is no space. The tree event used to be one of my favorites where I would buy many trees. Not anymore.

I've been playing for just over a year and all I can say is that this game seems to be getting worse, not better. I was a regular if not big spender. No more. I'm tired of empty promises. I may continue to play the game but it will take much from BP before I believe anything that is stated by them. I need to look deep for the "fun" that used to be here.

Teddy.bear you really must have the patience of a Saint. I love reading all of your posts, although I don't post much, I mostly read. You are a sweetheart. Here are my thoughts. I am in agreement with everyone else here. I will skip buying the pack of trees and will skip the repeatable quest for the following reasons:

1) No Stars.
2) I am out of room
3) I bought the last packs (Main + Baha) and I have soooooooooo many trees that I don't need and no room to place.
4) Rewards are stinky

5) Did I mention No Stars?!?

I play my farm as a hobby and don't mind spending real money on my hobby. But it has to make sense and be worth it. If I collected stamps for a hobby I would not want to collect the same stamps over and over again. I certainly wouldn't purchase a pack of stamps that I already have. Moreover, I wouldn't purchase something of no value (a/k/a not worth stars for example).

I really do not understand why we can only buy island wonder trees in the package and not individually. That is pretty awful. I also echo all of the other complaints - the new FSQ is a real insult to all the comments left in the feedback section over the last few months.

Do the developers read the feedback? Because these recent changes seem like proof that they do not. NOBODY has asked for more trees and stables. EVERYONE is begging for more space to put all this stuff. There is a demand for more stars.

These changes make no sense. I am not happy.

 

You can! They are 5 BBs each! When you go to the screen and you see the packages, over to the right it is switching between the two kinds available. Select "buy" there and it gives you the option to select as many or as few as you'd like.

 

I was going to buy BBs this weekend. I was going to get some wonder trees, but not for the new trees. I don't buy enough to realistically have a good chance of getting them. But I want more XXL trees, high level ones for bahamarama, and the new rare XXLs for the farm, they give excellent EP.

But now there will be no BBs, no mega EP day, no wonder trees for me. I will leave you to wonder why.

I don't get the point of the new quest. If it had only asked for old fruits with a low market price, it would serve to drive the prices up, which could be good. But it asks for so many new fruits that it will be a very long time before the quest will be worth filling. It doesn't have a single "must have" reward. There are not even stars! And the small amount of turbo mulch and tools is just laughable.


PS. The reason I bought the prankster cloud row was because we were promised fair compensation, and I was naive enough to believe it. Well, the joke is on me. Congratulations

PPS. I was going to offer the brave teddy bear a shield, but I don't think it is needed. The responses look quite civilized and reasonable to me, I think it is quite an achievement that BP has managed to -edit- us off so much.
