There comes a time, I know most will agree
And it is Now - lets all play for free!
It's taking control of our destiny
And out of the clutches of Mr Greedy
No slave to the hope of New Tree Mystery
Or that looming event promising double EP
Oh what a great feeling- of that you will see
It's a Revolution - Come and join Me!
    :p
What shall we do with our extra cash?
It's time I bought cream for that bothersome rash...
And southern winter - I'll get a new coat
Or northern summer - let's get a new boat!
    ;)
Some spouses do wonder when savings are spent
They can no longer blame 'A current Event'
Free playing for All - please use this thread
Jot down ways forgotten - search in your head...
Tips for new and old - how to save 'bread'
Swap rushing and stressing for patience instead.

Welcome back Squiggle. I said so in the Feedback thread but it got deleted. :)

Thanks DB. I'm not going to be super involved as I have a busy RL schedule but will pop in now and then. I actually haven't been on the farm at all in the past few months, but both I and my cousin were hacked back in February (we presume it happened when we got together around that time, as the perpetrator was another family member who was also present) and they have been playing under our names this whole time! A hugely disappointing and upsetting occurrence but has now been sorted.

That's Terrible! I hope your basic stocks are OK.
As far as playing for free goes, I am not using Harvester functions for the first time in aages and am saving my pile of 3 hour vouchers for a 'needed' time...

Stocks are fine, or fixable at least, forum and IGM reputations are not....

Harvester is one of my special treats, as a player who enjoys the game for free. Whenever the half price harvester sale comes along, I buy the harvester and the seeder.

I just spent my first few real life dollars a couple weeks ago because I got offered harvester for 87% off. I have been LOVING it, but will only purchase if a sale like that happens again. Having it for an event was amazing, not going to lie. :)
    Hi squiggle! :inlove:

David - I love your poem but realistically if everyone played for Free, there would be no game. :p
If I won millions on the lottery I would spend, spend, spend! xD

I totally agree but we have to make a point about the recent attitude that have been developing from BP

I have cut back on my spending, nothing spent since January and have problem with payment on some of my farms anyway at moment so don't know when I will be able to buy stuff again. I am using my few remaining BB for half price harvester only then it may be back to hand farming.

I am sorry to be the picket line breaker but I cannot farm without the machinery. I do purchase the monthly subscription when it goes on sale. If I had to farm manually, I would have to stop playing altogether. While I am deeply distressed about the recent changes BP has made, I still enjoy my farm and this game and subsequent friendships entered my life when I was at my lowest. I wish you all the very best in your attempt to send BP a lesson in economics and positive customer relations.:)

When one tries to play for free
    one gets an RSI
so when it comes to me
    i deeply wonder why

Why are the coupons not to be bought?
i could use a few you see
after harvesting i feel like i've fought
instead of relaxing with fuzzles, and a nice cuppa tea

I miss the old days with time to farm
    to grow many different crops
now i'm just trying to avoid all harm
    i'm hoping this soon stops

Still I'm longing for an orchard field
or some other place just for trees
but no, more pens and animals
or colored breeding of the bees

    I wouldn't mind to spend a buck
    and maybe even ten
if only i could choose to buy
    the things I wánted then!

I'd like to look forward to an event next month
    without this rushing every day
I really miss the old red truck
the fun has - with that - gone away.

I think paying for certain advantages in the game is great (and thank you to all of you who are able to, it makes the game possible for those of us who can't!!), sadly, my real life situation doesn't make for the fun money to spend on the game. If I could buy the monthly subscription without feeling guilty, I so would!!

Very good poem to start thread David, well done.
Also to freebird for your poem, I just wish I had the intelligence to 'pen' a poem.

Over the years I have played a number of 'free' at source games without haven't the need to spend anything to enjoy and progress through the game. But this so called 'free' game is really taking the biscuit at the moment with the inssesent need for you to spend your hard earned cash.
I started playing this as my son enjoys farms, his grandad had his own farm and my son loved going there, and thought he could help me. but its so hard at the moment to take time out and relax with farmerama. Yes the option is there for you to spend money and I appreciate the Devs need income to develop but there comes a time when they have to understand without us there is no income for them.
We keep getting told they take our feedback seriously and do read our feedback, I very much doubt that.
Come on BP prove that you read and understand our feedback and frustrations. Not constantly lying to us all the time.

Give us our FREE game back

If you do read this thank you

    Steve

Don't feel bad, I am in exactly the same position, as, I am sure, are many of us. At the moment I am paid up to June; whether I renew or stop playing depends on what happens between now and then.

All you need is a rhyming dictionary... I own a very old small, pocket version, song-writers rhyming dictionary, and it has taught me how to do this, and one thinks of sooo many new things when paging through a book like that when yr stuck... :p:):music::inlove:

same here, in canada it is $25 i believe for monthly harvester package, money is not an issue i just refuse to pay ridiculous prices. still have fsq to get free harvester hrs and i am saving up bb's for when the time comes. getting onto higher levels now means a lot more clicking especially with so many 1x1 fields, and i will find it hard to keep playing without harvester package.

just thinking out loud here, farmerama is 5 1/2 yrs old now, that is a long run for a browser game. maybe bp is introducing the rest of their ideas quickly now thinking the game might be coming to an end to squeeze out as much money as they can.

I happily by the harvest helper subscription every month as it does what it is supposed to. But I am now hesitant to buy anything else when the sale blurb is so ambiguous - and BP seem to be intent on fixing things that I have been in the game from years ago (mill rune).

I found Farmerama almost 5 years ago when another farming game I enjoyed shut down. I spend real money on this game because I enjoy it. I figure each BB costs me .03 cents each. Because of health reasons I can't do the things I used to do so it actually saves me money. I no longer need to buy any crafting supplies because my barn is very well supplied. I have almost 37,000 sugar among other things. I disagree that BP does not listen to the players. We now have sugar trees and other trees to help with this. Over the years this game has changed trememdously. It didn't happen overnight, but over time. Now if there was just more I could do to help my power feed addiction along I would be a happy camper lol.
