  1. Will all the dissension in the air; I though it might be an idea to ask what people would do if they had the power to change this game. Fanciful, realistic, imaginative, innovative, pragmatic - just throw some ideas in the pot.

I have been around for virtually as long as the game has existed and so have a few others, but many players have no idea how things have changed. I'm not sure BP have become 'more' greedy, I've seen enough threads, with that very theme, over the years to question that perception. I think they just design, develop and upgrade but their business model isn't maybe matching players' expectations.

So, I would set up a time-line - a kind of living museum if you will. I would show how this game began and the ongoing developments - how the iterations changed the face of Farmerama. I would give embedded videos of what players had to do to farm, what was required and how things used to be. How each change happened and how some had to be reversed or ameliorated - because players went to the forums in every country and made their voices heard.

From storms which wrecked fields, which required time to dig and you lost the plants; manure was needed then only to keep fields safe (it didn't reduce the growing time) to building up Suzy's airmiles to get to Bahamarama. The island market, which had a different monetary system, somewhat confusing at first. When neighbours were essential to keep the meadow from returning to weeds and there was no Magical Glade.

I remember the excitement when the craft village was first mooted, then the building and each one added meant more buffs. The fun we had when we could use a combination of CAC and PJ together for +3 (and just keep adding PJ to one CAC for continuous +3s :D ). Till they stopped it, killjoys.

You used to go through a little gap in the hedge to get to the meadow, and couldn't get to the City from there, you have to retrace your steps, back to the main field and then to the city.

No breeding animals, and no dynamic market, prices didn't go above 300 for eggs and much less for produce. Before the produce trees and the coloured pens, hens produced one egg, (but I really miss those knitting hens and the stork delivering an egg). As the saying goes 'In them days, a million ccs really was a lot of money' :)

Before the introduction of special trees and special pens, the only way to get XXL trees was to pay BBs; Peach and Chestnut only available from the wheel or once during an Autumn event.

I miss the strange and wonderful, but sometimes creepy animals with their huge, goggle eyes and the rabbits that looked like extras in a Zombie movie. I would love it if they brought back the demented windmill. The pretty fields, with their colourful seeds, the old style trees and the little red truck that used to rush into the city and race round to pull up outside the Farmers' Society building. I miss going to the airport to get to the island.

I would have pictures of the old city with the buildings, and each of the fields and the island - even the market and every single pen, animal, tree and plant - old and modern. Anything and everything for the past five or so years; which perhaps would help new players understand that things aren't quite as bad as they seem and for those of us who've been around a long time, we know that what is, won't always be.

That said, I do like many of the innovations and upgrades they've done, they have improved the game (not always, but mostly).

That's my 'King for a Day' thought - what would you do?
