I think you have summarized the situation exactly abubadi.

I saw one post in the technical section that I actually thought was a ringer [a person paid in money or game benefits to spin the situation to the companies benefit]. but maybe there are actually people that want to spend 200 BB's to get a bunch of trees so they can benefit from EP day.

I'd rather play a free game and give the money to real organizations that plant real native trees that save the planet LOL.

Thanks again for your comments abubadi, it helps to not only clarify the situation but also to help me stop worrying about what is wrong with BP. They are just showing their true nature... not caring about the people formally willing to spend a little real money... just catering to the players who spend tons of real money.

Frogs - I will also add my relief that your sweet Miss Poppy is alright. I know you have to be over the moon but I agree with SG that you need to rest. Now that the event has been postponed, maybe a little siesta?

 

PnP i just had a little snooze in my chair well...... i was watching TV with my eyes closed with my arm over my girl .....
slept off a bad headache so i'm feeling in much better spirit now

sooooo i'll plant the 1st seeds of the event them go to beddie byes .... wish i wasn't delayed though ..... i have fields full of long crops ready to harvest now just sitting to make the most of drops ....

 

Just before 10 I was just waiting to refresh so I plant the first lot and then go to bed. And then I saw the announcement, so now I'm waiting till midnight as well. Anaemia isn't helping me stay awake either.

 

Great news frogs! When I thought my cat had something serious going on not so long back I was so upset and then the relief of finding out it's not serious and everything is ok. Hugs to you and Miss Poppy!

 

if you guys could see the size of this mass she has come up over her hip it was crazy you would just think BAD looking at it put it this way its about the size of a implant a women may get in her body somewhere ,,,,, massive ..... and so far it turned out to just be fat cells ...i was in pure and utter panic ....

Now back to the topic at hand...the delay of the Czech Roots Event... I got up and harvested my overnight crops and got boatloads of the red garnets...except they aren't showing up in my barn inventory. Then I come here and see there's a delay.

So I wonder if the garnets that have been dropped prior to the start of the event are just gone for good or if they will show up when the event officially starts? Who knows...guess I'll have my answer soon enough. (edited to add: Yes, they showed up once the event started!)

And I have to say that I feel for the employees - the coders, ITs, etc. over at BigPoint - the server mess yesterday and now this delay - I am sure they are running on empty by now. All for a game. It's not like lives hang in the balance. We can wait. Maybe we can even resolve the issue about not making RL money purchases in game. Think of it this way: Those purchases are what ultimately pay the salaries of those employees who have to keep this game running smoothly 24/7/365.
