It's tedeous.... i've stopped growing crops. (level 94) i've put out my jumbo trees, they harvest easiest without the harvester. some animals, a few special trees. ;)

I do the occasional event if I can get harvesters, and then I suddenly have a lot of supergrow available, if i wait long enough.... :D

My fields are full of chickens and rabbits at the moment - guess who I'm making food for! So much easier to harvest without harvester etc. active.

Harvesting and planting takes more time when there is an event and I put out 1x1 fields. But normally I like harvesting and planting on my own(sometimes I tell my little sisters to harvest for me:music:xD)

Arielh - why do you do 1x1 fields? They only produce 2 items. I thought, for a while, that it was a profitable way to do it, but then the maths proved me wrong. (check me if I am looking at it the wrong way) You plant a 4x4 and you get 5 items. That takes 1 seed, so you profit by 4 plants. You plant a 1x1, which produces 2 plants: from a 4 square you get 8 items but you have planted 4 seeds, so you make a 4 plant profit. So, same result but 4 times the work. No?

That is true if you don't use any crop buffs Chris :) But with pumpkin jam and carrot apple chutney, it makes a big difference :D

PJ gives +1 crops per field:
    • a 2x2 field now gives 5 plant profit
    • two 1x2 fields now give 6 plant profit
    • four 1x1 fields now give 8 plants profit

CAC gives +2 crops per field:
    • a 2x2 field now gives 6 plant profit
    • two 1x2 fields now give 8 plant profit
    • four 1x1 fields now give 12 plants profit
That is the key to growing all the event crops :p

OMG! I wish I had known that last event - missed completing my final task by 120 majoram plants (they bloomed 5 minutes after the deadlline) :(

I'm not sure how I missed the rather large area called "Grapevine" and the fact that there is a rumor thread!

Now idea why I just zoomed right past that area. *sigh* Well I will know to look there in the future as some of you super sleuths had all the important details for the breeding event up days ago. I'm going to go console myself with some fresh blackberry jelly and hope all those new stables I put out get busy and produce me some cows and horses. ;)

Good luck LDCrow :D Hopefully the rumors will help you prepare better for the next event :)

Yeah, I found that rumor thread too late, too. Oh well...there's always next time. I'm busy spending my CCs on things that finish FSQs to get more power feed and stars. The bad news is, I'm running out of CCs. The good news is I just leveled up to 70 today and now I'm about half way to 71. I figured it would take forever, but the push to get the stars has really given me a lot of EP. Who knew?

    gratz sewinglady,
this is exactly why i am always broke, buying product for fsq for ep and stars. most fsq now are expensive to buy so things will slow down dramatically. great ep with soup n friends for both farms to quickly lv up. i finished branch for breed rune just in time for bbd event, lets see how close i can get to piggy bank this weekend.

I just completed second level of Picky Pirate. Leveled me up to 71 and a ways to 72 plus gave me enough stars to get the faster breeding rune open. Now I just need 60 more stars to open the baby boom rune. I don't think I'll make it during this event, but should be able to open it before the next breeding event.

I think when I first started playing (March 5), there was a breeding event going on then. Of course as a super green newbie, I couldn't participate, but I wonder how frequently we have breeding events? Once every couple months?

Every month for as long as I have played :) it has been a bit longer than usual since the last one :)

I've got cows and horses everywhere. o_O Pretty sure this makes me a "rancher" and not a "farmer". xD:pxD

You, too? Aren't the little calves and ponies cute? And my mill is working overtime making baby food. gack. Last 28 hours of the free mill subscription, and it's churning out baby food instead of power feed. I wonder if this quest is worth it?

you can check start date by going to farm house and looking under stickers for the album. you should have a few stickers as rewards from opening tutorial. just hover over some of them and it will show you the date.
wow march 5th, you really are moving fast and youre just finding the easy fsq for ep, lol great job. have you reached your goal to open up living legend?

I think the event will be worth it to me personally for the experience itself also since I'm a long way from being able to produce CAC or MOS they are a nice prize to me. Not sure if I will actually go for the CR or not but since it's not themed it seems like something to shoot for. I'm sure having all these stables will come in handy for other things as well. With the extended time it takes to be able to turn over the stables I'm growing long term crops that time match.

Frees up my whole day pretty much so I can go out and do the RL farming. Saying that lunch is over so it's back to weeding those veggie beds for me. :)

I don't have any stickers from the tutorials but I know I went through them. The earliest stickers I have are not dated in the album but by searching, I've dated my earliest as the Cuckoo Kids from late May 2014. However, I know I started playing before that. Somewhere between March and May of 2014.
