It's really nice when you get enough orange stables to fill a whole field. You can get 88 animals in one round. I was told when I started that you could never have 'to many pens'. I couldn't agree more, I love being able to pick an animal and run a few fields to just top off my stock. It takes time but with enough secret stable and prizes from events they really start to add up. Plus you get the added bonus of more EP per stable with the orange or red pens. Since the change in the stablemaster ruin I personally wouldn't build anything below a red pen....except chickens...I love orange chicken pens.
And remember there is always G&T coming up soon. There are a lot of players who really enjoy helping out newer players with some upgraded stables or workshops. :)

i am working hard now building orange chicken pens, was able to build 4 with this event bringing my total to 10 now. all the tools plus 4 crazy chickens makes for a slow grind. i am really tempted to just use the bb's i am saving up to buy them. @ only 22bb each it really seems to be a good deal.

You bought at least 300 BB - you'll get a Brian Schnitzel (or another in that family of ornaments) every time you buy at least 300 BBs. I have a little hoard of them. o_Ops. Now you know my secret.

Finally broke down and opened up the confectioner trade. I had all the stuff to get it built and up and running and a good stock of the products needed to actually make some of the 1st level items. I had a little over 600 in all the trade drop items so that should give me a bit of a boost when I open the other trades.

If you are patient you can get them at half price at either the half price shop sale or happy stable day ;)

built 2 more orange chicken stables, buying crazy chickens between 19k-22k cc, which i think is a good price on my market. before bbd they were selling above 40k cc. if prices stay low i can save the bb.

i forgot all about my bakery, im still lv2. guess i shloud start baking strawberry muffins again, just hate doing it and taking a loss of 1500cc. does everything you can make sell for a loss? recipes at pirate cove are never more than 11-17% off.

Why are you taking a loss? Are you basing that on the goods it takes to make the SM? I've never seen a recipe at pirate's cove, maybe it's cause I didn't have a trade open though Mostly I just get offers on stuff I would never buy like fence rails and flags and stuff.

feelfree2win, instead of selling your baked goods, you can use 5 of them per day to help you level up your bakery.

The caption on this picture is not clear (translation issue?) but the square the pointer is on allows you to use your bakery items to donate toward leveling up your bakery. Up to 5 items per 24 hour period. Same goes for any craft building. Just select the item on your shelf you would like to donate, click the counter up to a max of 5 (if you have that many) and then click the square the pointer is on. You can even purchase those "cheap" strawberry muffins in the market to use for this although there are other items that will move you up faster (PPP for one).

I'd give credit for this info but I can't remember the wonderful farmer who explained this to me. :)

i have been eating 5 bread rolls for 100 points whenever i remember. i have never checked to see what is most cost effective for eating. 3k points left to go to reach lv3. then i hear zucchini bread is the way to go.

yes. muffin sells around 4500cc, on average cost to buy ingredients are 5500cc, but that can fluctuate on the market, and also the salt.
you will start to see recipes now at pirate cove.

Zucchini apple bread isn't until level 4 :(

Carrot bread is profitable, the recipe costs 100 BB, it is the only thing I would bake in the three first levels.

If you always buy your ingredients in the market, you will have a hard time making any CCs selling your craft goods. That is why we grow crops. :)

Some recipes are good for making items to use yourself in addition to selling. Carrot bread is great for those events that have a timed step to earn EP.

That is why there are very few craft products I would ever make :p

Even if you grow the crops yourself, it is not so tempting to make a product if you can sell the crops, buy the product and still be left with a profit :)

100 bb, ouch. sooner or later ill have to buy some bb's. i just like to see how far i can get without spending money on these games.

maybe thats why i am shying away from artisan village, just cheaper to buy all the products. only growing crops in main field, the other fields are all stables and trees. once i get mill sub. i will probably change main field to more stables and trees.

Oh I see, I've been growing and stocking the things I need for the few items I can make. Well I did have to buy some apples but that was mostly because of the rodeo babies event. I've only made a few things at this point and I've not been selling them but using them and also gifting them. I had so many people gift me helpful items that I feel the need to pay it forward a bit.

I did buy the PJ recipe cause really that seems like the best thing to make until I can get up to level 4.

Sometimes they have a 1/2 off shop sale and the recipes are included in that. Seems like we should be due to have one soon.

But your craft must be of the level that the recipe is for you to be able to purchase it. I wiped out all my sugar to get my Confectionary up to level 4 for the last craft sale. o_O But I did it and got my CAC recipe. :)

feelfreetowin, the Puff Cake is the free recipe you'll get when you reach lvl 3. And usually sells between 8K-10K on the market.
Ingredients for base product & PC are wheat, oats, water, goat milk, cow milk apples & salt, all things you can grow quickly yourself or buy at low prices if you keep a close eye on the market for deals. Apples are not a good deal right now because of the effect of the event, but they will come down again, stock up when you can. You'll make some CC's selling the PC.
The strawberries are an expensive ingredient for the SM and why it's hard to level up with them. You're better off buying the 100 strawberries a day you can purchase from BP's market than the city market.

If you put stables and trees in the main field, you will need to rip them out to participate in MM each month. If you put trees in the Magical Glade, you don't get the use of the free water there (you can't water trees). But you do get a bonus there on EP. You might want to think how to best use these features.

    (Did you mean Harvester sub?)
