So, now I have to clear everything I just set up to build stock, corn is slipping fast... and set up for the type of event I failed at.
I love a challenge.
I was feeling waaay to good about myself after the bat feeding, I was ahead on GB, setting up to get that beanstalk open, all in all getting the barn ready.
Well, hear we go bring it on.

This event is gonna start at 6pm my local time. So, won’t get much time to grow enough crops before I go to sleep. Let's have a plan about how to proceed...

Mother’s Love
Day-1 (according to my local time)

Step 1
Plant: 5 seeds (use SSG+PJ)
Main Land: 2x2 plots, 5-regular fields
Time: 4h (water + SG, no manure) 6 pm to 10 pm
Harvest: 5x5= 25
+10 more, using SSG (5x2=10)
+5 more, using PJ (5x1=5)

Step 2
***Plant: 40 seeds overnight
Main Land: 2x2 plots, 40-regular fields
Time: 10h (no water, no manure) 10 pm to next morn- 8 am

Time : 7h 15min (water+manure) 8.50 am to 4.05pm
Harvest: 5x88= 440
End of Round-3/Total Mother’s love: 440 + 112 = 552

Step 3
Plant 88 seeds (552-88= 464)
Main Land + Green Meadow: 2x2 plots, 88-regular fields
Time : 7h 15min (water+manure) 4.05 pm to 11.20 pm

so much for players using manure anymore. i wouldnt be surprised if manure hit 1,000 cc now. going to make it harder for these events. especially ones with these long crops.

Actually, there are 41 squares of 2x2's on Bahama. Look at this picture :

Here in my second farm, I will plant Fathers Love in the Baha Island and Magical glade(comfort fields)
@ 9.40 pm (done!) and harvest next day @12.00-
Total time: 14h 20min (with water and manure)
Total plots= 70
Plant: 70x3= 210 seeds
Harvest: 70x15= 1050

and Mother's Love in the Main Land(regular fields)
@ 10 pm (done!)and harvest next morning @9.15 am
Total plots= 35
Plant: 35x1= 35 seeds
Harvest: 35x5= 175

Unusually for me, I decided to plant my longest crop and I planted it to go way over the start time to be all set for harvest after the first seeds were ready. But I miscalculated on timing of crops in the other field I am using so I had nowhere to put the event seeds! Last minute watering of carnations, a bit of delay in logging in and a few deleted corn seeds - - meant that particular goof (or should that be goofs) was sidestepped.

Then I planted the event seeds and nuked them with everything I have. But when the Father's Love matured, I filled the remaining plots with crops of the same time ... so that when my Mother's Love was ready, I had nowhere to put that!

Despite my terrible planning and, what I laughingly call, event strategy, I think I am going to enjoy this event ... I missed the last *Medium* difficulty one - and survived to tell the tale.

Now I am going to make the most of not worrying if I miss a harvest or two ... or am I missing something important?

Drops may be a problem. I seem to be okay with the Insect Guides but the Magnifying Glasses are not so forthcoming. But, ever the optimist, I am sure that I can finish the crops a day or two before the event ends and can fill my fields with trees and then animals to make the numbers up. There's always the SOS thread!

I won't be able to login tommorrow and the Saturday so I have 2 less days... maybe I shouldn't do this event

 

3 days, 1 to prep enough seeds and 2 days of 1x1 plots. with the long crops its easy enough to schedule your day for harvesting. that gives you 4 days to lose time. if your trophies are low you will have trouble with drops. SOS SOS

 

If i can add my little experienced 2 cents. It is really about maximizing the profit per seed and maximizing seeds used. So looking at some thoughts lets assume some general numbers

Lets say you have 2 fields with 40 2x2 spots on each. And you have 200 seeds.

Then the first option is plant 80 2x2 total and you end up with 80*6(assume you use PJ) and you get 480 plus the 120 you had left over so that is 600 total.

The second option could be turn one area into 1x1 giving you 160 1x1 spots and 40 2x2. So now you plant 200 total (160 and 40). The 160 returns with PJ 480 while the 40 2x2 returnts 240. Now your total at end is 720 so better for same amount of time.

This may help people or may not, but i thought i would throw it in. I try to have 1x1s because of total gain but fill with 2x2s for the better profit if i dont have enough to do 1x1s every where.

Made a lil mistake, so ending my day-1 with a delay of an hour beyond my plan. This will also affect the harvest time of Father's love crops.

New harvest time will be (comfort fields-Baha and Magical glade) tomorrow 1.15 pm.
**but due to this mistake now I have 122 extra Father's love crops in my barn.

Thankfully Mother's love harvest time will remain same -8.45 am in the morning

I keep saying that my strategy will be to sit the next event out!

They are coming even faster now, with just a few hours between them! I've been keeping a field dedicated to FSQs, and SLOWLY plugging away at them. But I can't help myself. I HAVE to do the events, and not just parts of them, the WHOLE THING!! LOL So, for this one I will leave out a rooster and a dove along with 3 wolves (working on finishing those levels of "Guess Who?").

I have all of the regular crops for this event, so I will focus on growing the event crops for the next couple of days. I am going to try something I have never attempted before. I had seen someone else mention that they collect everything for an event and then turn it all in at once. I'm not sure if I will survive the wait, but we'll see.

Once the crops are done, I will go back to growing the crops, trees, and other animals I need for the other FSQs I am currently picking away at. Now, my dilemma is Baha. I really don't like to tear it apart for any event. I have steadily done those FSQs for quite some time now and don't want to slow the progress. So, it might take just a bit longer, but I'll get this event done just the same!!

I generally start events with a first planting in 2x2's, then I switch to 1x1's. I don't know if I'm going to be able to complete this one. I may be selective about which levels of the quest I complete. Hoping that the fact that this one has a fairly long event window may help with completion.

 

I'm going for the cloud row and deco items. Unfortunately at some point in the past I have been a total wally and gifted away the paper heart deco - checked clouds, put everything in the depot, but no it's not there anymore .

 

I remember when I first started playing back in October of last year. October, November, December, January...I'd try and do as much as I could. As a low level player it really didn't bother me to not finish, but the cloud rows were awarded earlier in the quests so I have a few that are all grey and ugly...missing an item or two. But then I was slowly able to finish them! And I have done so ever since! So, this is what FOCD is, huh? I need to start going to those meetings I saw around here...LOL!!!

 

You could do part of it. There is a frog pond!
I will be going for that.

 

if you are using cac and decide to keep baha doing its own thing, great time to grow extra crops with 1x1 plots on baha. since bp gave us plenty of time to grow the crops i will grow zucchini and bromelaid for fsq while cac is active. even if you wanted to sell them, make more cc than animal pen. might cost me an extra cac but the extra crops will more than make up for it.
