Another silly error this morning - wanted to use the harvester prize and donated Father's Love before checking I had enough left to fill the two fields - DOH! Still, thankfully this event does allow for head slap moments, though not too many, eh? :wuerg:
Drops are looking very good, Illy has nearly twice the daily average requirement and it is not even 24 hours in yet. This farm isn't too far behind. :)
Brookeham: we still have one of those Garmins! Ours has a great pronunciation of foreign street names! :p Not sure if it is the same voice though ... a bit like a BBC newsreader. I quite like it. :music:

I checked out my Mandrake supply on Illy and I have 35k+. I have used quite a few as I am getting dangerously near to leveling up on the fourth workshop, Spa (well if you can call 50k short near lol!). :D So I have been tentatively doing a little in the Alchemist and am at level 3. May have that as my next challenge.

Suzee: Hope the arm and back feel better soon. Don't overdo it ... sit down, do a bit of farming! ;)

Sore throat, cough. Go to see doctor which can't log on time when event begin.
more or less finally got enough plant to plant 4 field.
Feel sleepy, the side effect of medicines.
Just need 1 hr more to harvest the crop. Then I could have a good rest.
Drops really good. Uptill now Magnifiers 215, Insect Guide 163

I didn't manage to have enough crops for two whole fields of 10h crop last night. Oh well. I have time. Today I'm thinking I might have used 1x2s to build them up then remembered... I only would have had time if I had been willing to use SG again on the 10h crop. Since it's a 6d event I decided it wasn't worth it.

When I planted the starter seeds yesterday before I left... I planted peonies. The monochrmatic peonies, Mother's and Father's love... LOVERLY! I wouldn't mind keeping both of the event crops. We need new crops for those at level 100+. lol

I've seen some post as if use of PPP is NECESSARY. It is only necessary IF you want to extend the time. Otherwise it is a waste. As far as CAC is concerned it can make an 18h buff almost 24h. IF you are around to use that benefit... use PPP. It COULD be cheaper for you. If I am only using one CAC at a time I don't use PPP. If, because I am forgetful, I decide to use 6 CAC for a six day event... I use PPP to get 6 full days from the CAC without having to worry about CAC running out.

Thx, everyone. Spending the day "in bed". I tried to sign up for the nap class, but apparently you all filled it up. So I practiced on my own yesterday. You all need to "graduate" so dnin and I can get in it.
    Feel better, dnin!
I'm OK. Dealing with chronic problems. Flared up because of a lot of lifting past few days. Yardwork always makes my back hurt. The yard looks worse than ever since chemo last year made it impossible for me to do anything last year. Weeds as tall as me from last year. LOL! I keep thinking I should hire someone. But I need that money for harvester/seeder purchases. ;)

I have got my crops set in and have about 2 hours before I need to harvest. I suppose it's time to go out and do some real farm work! It's cloudy and not too hot this morning, so it's perfect weather! My back yard is 1/2 acre and I push mow every bit! Gotta get that exercise!!

I thought I was doing good. Planted 2 fields of Mothers love overnight, had an early testing appointment at the hospital this morning so I got up at 4:30 harvested and replanted. Came home and found I had planted 1 field of mothers love and everything else in fathers love  all sitting ready for me. Oh well, still plenty of time.
I do wish we could keep these plants, they are both soooo pretty :inlove:

All this talk of napping is contagious :p

Best wishes for better tomorrows for all those feeling under the weather. Very busy day here...Dr appt, new truck shopping for hubby and hair cuts for daughter and me. So tired....Planted Mother's Love where I could and Fathers' Love everywhere else so they were ready when I got home. I haven't done the math yet to see how many I have and how many I have left to grow. CAC should catch me up for missed harvests.

Brookeham, thanks for reminding me about the Garmin's recalculating and voice, I'd forgotten where I first hear it, just use it now! :p Some of my best memories of a trip to visit friends in Germany was touring with their Garmin. We spent a lot of time doing circles in roundabouts while he argued with the Garmin. That men and directions thing I guess!!;)

LOL xD T_rixy...yes...men & their directions!!! My hubby used to yell at "miss garmin" all the time....I was very glad it wasn't me. We've graduated from the huge paper maps at least.
pnp - You are busy :wuerg::eek:...after just helping family members buy 2 different cars...I don't envy you. Good luck! I'm sure you and daughter will be loverly with your new haircuts!;)

I'm almost done with this event....wow...I can't believe it?o_O Of course, I pulled everything off the farm...and have been watching the clock...so no idle time......well actually only 1/2 way on mother's love...I saved them for last...b/c so long...but also very pretty!:inlove: I also still need quite a few drops...but normal farming will help with that!

    Good luck everyone!!! ;) Happy Parent's weekend...and to U.S. Mom's...Happy Mother's Day!!!:D

I am doing the events that are time restricted by grade now, so I have silver gold done. Now gonna pick the ones that give the beanstalk goodies to finish 1st as them magnifier got thin.
Does anyone got suggestions as to what crops I should plant after I get the remaining needed event flowers done?
IE: short time like sunflowers or go long as tulips to get more drops? I don't want to go to SOS yet as I think I can do this if I plant other crops.

In theory cucumbers should give twice as much drops as sunflowers, since they take twice as long, so it doesn't matter what you plant as long as you harvest soon after the crop matures. So just plant what fits your schedule, so that the fields are not left idle, that is the important thing :)

I will suggest to go for violets, because it is a event related crop and has a long maturity time :)
