Newbie observation

The San Gigantica Express has 6 windows that you can donate pens to and you get one in return. I am assuming the new one coming tomorrow (Farm Express) is also going to have 6 windows for donation for the chance of one. The problem I see is that the original version had various amounts to donate ranging from 250 - 2000 (not sure of the upper limit). Now we have to donate 1250 for the Luxury Cargo but unless BP changes how much each pen is worth to donate, it may be difficult to get 1250 without donating rare pens or upgrades. It would be great if since we can get workshops, that we also be allowed to donate those egg farms, goat and cow dairies we don't want/need anymore but I doubt BP will let us do that.

The cheapest option for the 250 points was 5 monkeys + 1 sloth for 21,000 CC. Not sure yet of the best combination for 1250.

Thanks PNP and Mir that did clear things up for me. I guess I will just have to wait and see what the expense will be. I don't have much I'm willing to give up at this point. Even if I was lucky enough to get the workshop I only have one butterfly pen so perhaps it will just be better to wait for the next train.

 

Waiting for the next train could be a long time. I would think you should try to get at least one. Rumors are that another G&T is coming soon. You could pick up another butterfly pen there or even buy one for BBs in the shop especially if there is a half price shop sale soon.

The Tiki Timer craft product says it speeds up vegetable production on Baha. How specific is that? Meaning what are they classifying as vegetables? For example pineapple, grapes and bamboo are all clearly not vegetables so are they not included?

Some of the wordings for the craft products specifically are incredibly vague and confusing. I'm sure part of that issue is do to things being translated.

 

When you are choosing a seed to plant, as you hover over one, look at the description. If it says "vegetable" it qualifies. If not, it doesn't.

 

Yes, I also only have one butterfly house at the moment, but if I can get a perfumery, I will invest in more during the next half price sale. I was glad to get the advice about the classic Baha pens. Those and the orange panda and monkey pens have really helped increase my quantities of Baha animals in the barn.

I was wondering, too, what we'd have to give up to get the 1250 as I see that workshops are not donatable, nor are pink or red upgrades. (figures, since I'm already back up to 4 red bat roosts.) I just won a second chameleon stable on the party wheel. I'd hate to have to give it up to try for a perfumery, but if I must...

 

Well, for the train, I donated my two cat stables (they were drinking all the milk anyway) my stork, a spare rabbit stable and then had to buy a chicken stable as I was 10 points short. I will be very upset if I get a cat stable by return!
Maybe it was a mistake, but I could see no point in the cats and stork. Ans the temptation was just too much!
I am now wondering if I have made an error - when the train left it said "wait 59 minutes for the train to return" and I closed the window.... was I meant to sit here with the window open for an hour waiting for the return???

 

No . . go back at the end of 59 minutes, you click the green button at the bottom and a Mystery Stable will go into your stables folder. Go to one of your main farm fields and place the Mystery Stable on a 2x2 plot of land, wait 4 hours (or Pay 2 BBs to hurry it up), then you find out what you have traded for.

 

If you forget to pick it up and it isn't there when you remember, don't worry. After a little time it goes straight to your inventory, there is no way to loose it

yeah because you can breed donkeys...(I'm actually not so sure that's a plus...the power feed and pheromones, oh my!)

Okay, what animal has the workshop that produces the picnic blanket and how do I get one of those workshops? I got a Moose Music Hall from the Draco stables so that solved the "hit record" problem, but I'm stumped and I've looked through the FAQ on workshops and I don't see the picnic blanket, so it must have been introduced into the game after that FAQ was made and it's not been updated.

Nevermind. Found the answer - squirrels. And I need dogs. And so I think I'd better do some more trading for luxury cargos.

 

When you build a production pen do you first have to build the normal pen, then build the upgrade? I was just thinking about this for future planning and realized I didn't know if I had to build both the normal pen then the orange upgrade to go on top of it.

I specifically mean workshops not animal housing.

 

Yes, LDCrow, that is exactly how it works. Base stables and workshops are needed in order to put the upgrade on it.

Funny how things become clear when I reach a point in the game where I actually need a feature.

I have tortoise, no one is selling them on my market as of yet. The most I personally can sell the for is 471cc each. I think that is basically giving them away so I'm not going there.

I suddenly understand the need to have the ability to sell far above the market amount. I might even go spend the stars on that rune the rune I bypassed on my way up the tree.
