Good points Aluntino I also decided that I could get rid of a few of my 17 mouse stalls. When I want to raise mice I use my three orange mouse stalls (which are great), and maybe the three yellow in addition, but never the basic ones.

You are probably right about the orange workshops. I never do FHO for products on the other hand I am always happy to get more orange animal stables. My dream is to have a full field of orange stables for each animal

Premium Membership comes along with an additional customer with 3 free sets of orders. These usually add up to the products customer, and are generally combined with high value crops, meaning loads of EPs. That's why those rare products are so valuable to me and changes in the past few months have permanently changed prices of practically all products -I used to buy most of them, and now I buy only some-. Orange workshops, then, are very important for me, especially some of them, as the textile mills are (but, for instance, I used the snorkel shop just a few times: it's a much better deal to produce the platypuses and buy them; as of now, by selling the platypuses I'd need for producing one snorkel I can buy 5 of them...; the same goes for the cheese factory).

I had lots of Unwanted Workshops and Classic Pens which I hardly used. Sitting in My Barn for Ages. Also Barter and Gift Event could not trade or exchange these for some better and more useful to help with quests etc. They were Aspairies, Cow Dairies, Goat Dairies. Also have some Yellow Workshop Pens, Yellow Animal Pens I hardly used. Plus had loads of Classic Pens I or II. I had quiet a few Jumbo stables too which i wont used so Traded all of them in Which sitting in my Barn. All Gone onto The Express Train

This is a Good Event when it gives that Chance to Clear out your Barn of unwanted items gathering dust. But on the other hand th outcome of getting something better is rather slim. I was happy to have an Clear out, but not happy with the Luxury Cargo reveled as what i got so far is

I got 9 more Luxury Cargo Stables to Harvest but place them on Main Farm this time, no Luck on The Glade. All These Rare Stables are worth 410 Exchange Value on Express Train as All These Red and Pink Pens we have are no where near these Values. For That Reason I Held onto All The Rare Stables that I have in my Barn Traded none of them on the Train.

The New Tour De Farm Quests is asking for lots of Rare Animals so instead I put out all the Rare Animal Pens it is asking for. The Ones it do not ask for Stay in my Barn. Just in case they are needed.

I would Hang onto Any Butterfly pens you have as The Perfumery requires Three Butterflies and Butterfly Feed to Make a Shimmery Power. I am still Try to win a Perfumery hope luck comes my way

 

To be honest, I'm not too impressed with the 1,250 points required to take part. It's too high a price for the odds of getting something good. But I did have plenty of things gathering dust in inventory, so I figured I'd try some. The results:

• Textile mills - 2 (ehh. I never use the one I have.)
• Music Hall - 1 (I already had two and never use those.)
• Yellow truffle farm - was recycled immediately.
• Orange shearing sheds - one each of sheep and rabbit. (If I still needed them, they might have come in handy.)
• Perfumery - At the cost of three butterflies, I don't think I'll be using it anytime soon. I gave all but one of my butterfly pens away ages ago in G&T, and then they opened new quests that use them.
• Red duck pen - Happy about that one!
• Pink horse pen - My very first pink pen. Definitely happy about that!

I have one more to hatch. I'll see what I get from that one before I decide to try another.

I decided to take a gamble and turn in my racoons and mask work shop....I got ....drumroll please...a PERFUMERY!!!! I'm BEYOND excited!!!!

 

Congrats grllvs2hnt! The train delivered me an orange chameleon and another Moose Music Hall.

 

My last train cargo and I got a Pink Goat.

So 4 textile mills, 1 dog kennel and a pink goat are my ultimate ending of what I kept from the train. I'm not unhappy with that and since I can't remember what I traded at this point I don't think I will miss any of it.

 

After 20 train rides these are my results:

The is a red horse, the 6 s are: 2x classic beaver II, orange duck, orange sheep, moose music hall and orange paint factory.

I think you can guess what most of the s are.

I have two planted overnight, hoping for .

I don't think you can really think of any of the items as being 'worth' their value in points. As you say they don't reflect at all the actual desirability of the pens. It is pretty normal to swap 6 pens for 1 cargo, though, so you should be asking yourself how useful the pens you're swapping actually are. In my case I've been swapping things which are of negative value to myself as I don't use them and they've been clogging up my inventory, so any payback at all is great. In addition to that I made a lot of carpet factories and some egg pens which I consider free as I don't use anything like as many tools as I get. Again, I'm happy with any result.
I like this event because we can finally swap workshops for useful stuff and also because there seems to be a much higher chance of getting valuable red and pink upgrades as well as the new workshop. Out of 15 cargos I have a perfumery and just now a Pink Sheep - which seems a wonderful result to me. I'd be a long time trying to find someone to swap a bunch of boring workshops and yellow workshop and pen upgrades for a pink sheep at Gift and Trade, I know that much

 

I wasn't going to do this event (I'm not supposed to even be here, we're on vacation), but I find myself building workshops just to donate without giving up my good things. I have a bunch of tools saved up, so it's not that much of an issue for me to build just to donate. I don't know how many I've gotten, at least 10, best results were red goat and pink bee pen, worst was a yellow chicken, but still no lovely butterfly perfumery . I've got 2 more percolating on the field, just ordered one more and will do another so can have 2 out at a time. I'm wondering if those of you lucky enough to have gotten the perfumery got it with a donation of a butterfly pen? I only have 3 and am very reluctant, unwilling actually, to give them up, tho I have given up a few of my eagles and other rare pens that I have a bunch of. Mainly using the workshops, tho. I'll try a few more rounds as we wait for the rain to subside enough to finish packing and get out of here, maybe my luck will change . Congrats to all you who were successful!

Not going to, just was curious, thanks for the input.

This is going to seem like a really stupid question, but if you have a base, and an orange upgrade, do you have to have the yellow upgrade in inventory to be able to use the orange? In other words, if I have a base dog kennel, and an orange dog kennel, do I have to have the yellow kennel in inventory to be able to place the orange, or can I send all my yellows on the train and still be able to place the orange? I've always thought I had to have the yellow in inventory, tho not on the base, to be able to place the orange.

You can use whatever coloured upgrade, of whichever colour, over the base. You do not need any the coloured ones in between to be able to use that, provided you have the base. So, in short, dump your yellow ones without any shade of guilt: bases are not respectful of any kind of colour rank order.... LOL.
