Strategy: Farm express

nothing great to report yet here. I got the textile mill early and still trying for the perfumery. I have sent 18 trains and most of the things went right back out as they were junk, yellows or rares that I already had 12-21 of. I think keeping around 10 of each rare is all that I need, but may regret that later on.

 

I seem to be plagued with classic beaver II and yellow donkeys now, so one last try and I'm done. Really I should've quit after my pink bee!

While I welcome the orange pens received, not one textile mill or perfumery in the bunch, frustrating to say the least.

But Glad to hear many have gotten them, Congratulations! Good Luck to those still trying!

 

Four days. Almost 40 mystery stables. No perfumery. Arg! But my barn is nice and organized now. Lots of stuff gone.

 

Did you at least get any good stables thetoadofeya? Like red or pinks ones

 

I got a red bee (which I had already) and a red chicken, but no pink anything. Frustrating! I got one textile mill, which was nice, but I got a LOT of yellow stables and workshops.

 

That's exactly how I feel! I also think they should take out yellows if they are going to require luxury level of the Train. I put plenty of oranges on and to get back a yellow was just discouraging.

Oh, I so agree with you, to get a yellow when the value of what was put in was so high. I have done 20 trains with another on wait time. I have gotten 2 orange dogs, 1 textile mill and an orange crow hoard, but no other oranges. Everything else has been yellow stalls or classic beavers, no reds or pinks in sight. I have built many workshops and bought 1 million coins worth just to feed the train. I have been putting many rares and even a few oranges where I didn't have the bases for them. I have done 18 stables and have 2 more sitting in the field and will see what those are. I have cleaned out my barn and down to the basics. I finally broke down and bought the 30 Draco stables pack and have them out in the field. I have the bonus tortoise because I figured that will be the only way I get it. I am hoping to get the kiwi as I still need it and maybe some others that I only have 1 of. The rest, will be fed onto the train until I run out of things to put on it.

Well mine started to go a bit downhill today but I really want a Textile Mill so I'm persevering. I tried to get one at G&T but to no avail so when I found out I could possibly get one with this event my determined head was on and I'm not leaving until the fat lady sings...and brings me a Textile Mill!!

 

Just got a MMH and a textile mill. Might be nice for a trade next G n T.

 

Gee, and filling a train with them won't even get you to 1250! That's just sad.

 

I have gotten 9 Classic Beaver ll off the train. All went back on to go out to someone new. Another hour until I find out what was in 19 and 20.

 

1 Egg Farm Yellow (Big sigh)
2 Dog Kennel Orange (mmm, have 3 already)
3 Classic Beaver Dam II (not great, have 2 already)
4 Moose Music Hall (not great, have 1 already)
....................at this point I thought I might give up
5 Perfumery (Yay!)

 

jnnythct after the the 4th train I was also dissapointed because I got 2 yellow stables in a row but like you, my fifth turned out to be a perfumery

Now, I got the perfumery and the 1 textile mill. Cleaned out the barn made thing nice and clean. Still need to harvest the 30 Draco pens and will see if any of those will go on to it, but will probably wait for the next normal one to get rid of junk. The rewards here have been mostly trash. Not my ideal way of introducing a new workshop, I much desire the win it in a quest way, but understand it is impossible for low levels that way and thus the gambling way is more fair.

edit to add: 20 runs of the train and I kept: orange crow hoarde, 2 orange dog, textile mill and perfumery.

 

Next 10 results:

• 2x Classic beaver II
• 3x Textile mill
• 2x orange dog
• Orange sheep shearing shed
• Orange apiary
• Dog

Still no out of 30 stables.

 

Mir, I feel your pain. Almost as painful is the low value of so many of our workshops - ex. textile mill is 10 points. Maybe they've lost value because they're used.
I guess they depreciate as soon as you drive them off the lot.
