Hot Diggety Dawg! (sorry the Texan in me often slips out when I'm excited) I sold my first picnic blanket today for 9872cc. I did not realize what a good prize that textile mill was.

 

At certain times it really is worth having. Often when a new event is announced, the price of some things rise rapidly and the market index can't keep up. Then you'll want to put the price as high as possible. This often happens with breeding animals.

 

this exact thing happened to me this past week. first time in 3 months.
eventually it will be nice to have but i think the LL should take priority and also maximizing manure now with the change.

 

I agree that it is not top priority, but at some point it will definitely be worth the stars

You hit the jackpot with a Tortoise stable!! Hang on to them for now, the price will rise to over 50K. I really lucked out too when the Platypus first came out, got 1 as one of my 1st mystery stables when this farm was only about 6 weeks into the game. I've used the CC's gained from the sales to really help my progress in the game, have even been able to build up a little stash of CC's (500K) this last week when prices hit 60K on my market (they had been trending lower about 33K for a bit). So be patient, the price will rise, and hang on to those Tortoises! Ka-ching!

 

Odes anybody else find it spooky that the cuckoos don't make a sound when you harvest them?

 

Chris, what kind of sound were you expecting? They don't have anything but legs what would they be making a sound with?
Could be the sound off eggs cracking I suppose but that would be kind of gross.

I've got just under 1100 cuckoo's in my barn, that should be more than enough to do the breeding quest. Right?
I don't feel like rearranging things to get the 3 pens I have out to produce more. I'm already selling feed though can't understand why people will pay so much for it as it takes almost no time to produce, but hey who am I to argue if you want to give me money.

On a slightly different note, did anyone else look at the new colored pens? How cute is that red pen? I like the little Zorro's in the pink but the red really makes me giggle.

 

That is definitely enough for the short term breeding quest But in case you want more, don't use the pens, buy them from the market. As you noticed, the feed is super expensive, but the cuckoos are cheap. So you can buy several cuckoos for the price of one feed

 

Thanks Mir. My brain had not gone that extra step in the thought process. You're right I can get 3 cuckoos for the price of one feed at the current market prices.

 

going through market, why does fruit cake sell for 50k cc and white innocence 3500cc? both improve super grow but white innocence doubles the effect.

 

There is an item, the ballerina music box, which gives 1 white innocence every 40 hours, I think that is why people sell it so cheaply. Furthermore, you have to buy the fruit cake recipe, so many don't have it. Also, if you want to maximally boost super grow you can use both white innocence and fruit cake, so there is a market for it

Just looking at the cuckoo event. Seems like it will take a lot of powerfeed to complete anything - what do you guys and ladies think: is it actually worth while using up PW when there willl be a BB soon?
