Feelfree I do a lot in feed sales. I to am amazed at what people will pay for feed. I've been selling quite a bit of cuckoo feed leading up to this breeding event in small lots ranging from 900 to 950cc. Now I happened to have a lot of of crop circles as I have been growing them for the the Garden Expo and I got extra angels trumpets at a very low rate so it's almost all pure profit.

One thing I would suggest is buy the chicken feed you need as it's usually priced around 55cc or below and free up your mill. Mill some of the rare animals feed as that goes for much higher prices than most of the normal animals. Raccoon feed for example sells for 600 to 800cc each in my market, it only requires peaches which currently are selling below 25cc. At 4 peaches per unit that is still a hefty profit margin.

i cancelled my chicken feed mid production and started others. i found 11 feeds to have great cc profits with 3 really standing out, wolf, mouse and mole feed. wolf feed is more expensive than the actual wolf on my market.

what about powerfeed? i only have 300pf and will most likely shy away from this event even though i opened up rune for 20 wooly-snout cuckoos. do you guys purchase all your pf?

I make powerfeed overnight every night during a mill subscription. I probably should have splurged and bought two months this time, but I only bought one. So every night before I put the farm to bed, I start 2 power feed - takes 9 hours. Yesterday afternoon, I started early and ran four powerfeed - took until about 10 a.m. to finish...but at least it's "free". And then the other time I invest in powerfeed is during a sale like we will have this weekend.

Also, you can pick up powerfeed by fulfilling quest levels. A lot of the 'product' quests give some powerfeed at several levels as you complete the quest. As I said in another thread, the least expensive quests to complete are the egg and cow's milk quests.

I do the same I mill PF every night. I run the mill constantly if I have plenty of feed for my own use then I might also run PF during the day. My mill never sits idle though or at least I try to make sure it doesn't. I've also picked up PF from the FSQ's as well. I will buy some when the sale is on but that is not where the majority of my PF comes from. I learned during the last BBD that it's good to have a plan and focus and not to try to breed everything unless you do want to spend a bunch for PF.

99% of my pf has come from from fsq. spend all my cc completing these fsq for pf and harvester. working on ostrich egg, paint pallet, koi, and riding lessons now. got about half the pf already from those fsq. then the expensive products start. no where close to the pf from breeding fsq. even going 24/7 it works out to 150-160pf/month.
i will have to start spending money soon on the game, will have to see what happens.

I think it was not the best action to cancel the progress .. :( You do not get anything !

Cancel the second and third queue is okay, but do not cancel that is being processed

During that two week free mill subscription they gave us I milled everything I could. I milled feed for every one of the wonder stables that I could whether I had the animal or not and spent the rest of the time stockpiling normal feed. That mill never stopped for a minute. Without the subscription I also milled feed mostly to keep all my levels up and for sale then at night I would start PF. Since it was 18 hours I would start it around 6pm so that by the next day I could once again mill regular items.

Since I purchased the mill sub I've milled PF constantly, already have those stock piles so no worries about feeding animals. I slip in a little here and there to top off but mostly I'm milling PF. This will probably continue to be how I operate the mill even after the event, unless of course there is another event that requires mill time. ;)

I did not start playing until after the mill changes happened so I had no adjustments to make as I never knew what the old system was like. Always easier to start fresh than it is to change the way you have been doing things.

    Old milling system :
    - Only had one queue.
    - Can produce 99,999 feeds at once
    - If you cancel the progress, you do not lose any raw materials that is being processed, and still get the animal feeds that have been processed.

    Example:
I canceled the chicken feed when milling is producing 5 of 10 feeds .. I got 4 chicken feeds and 12 wheats in my inventory.

i never queue anything more than 3 hrs, except pf. at best i lost 1.5 hrs, still made 10x more profit switching over for that 1.5 hrs.
still haven't sold one batch of wheat today, i bought quite a bit trying to keep the price up lol. holding steady though in cc, selling animals has given me enough cc to buy from market today. was really hoping some animals or breeds that i have would go way up in price like last bbd but it hasnt. monkeys had tried to spike but so many people keep posting cheap deals. maybe tomorrow. europe is midnight now and market is going to bed. not enough traffic in america to keep my market active.

I've about decided that I should spend a month trying to accumulate ccs until I have a comfortable base to work from. I keep spending everything I make on fsqs trying to advance in the game, but I've yet to sort a reliable income stream. I've had over 1m cc a couple of times, but I always end up back below 50k scrambling to stay in the game.

I've been going back through this thread and taking notes. When I have a bit of time, I now watch the market for bargains. I'm also trying to suss what sort of feed would do best. Luckily, I've sold a lot of wheat today, so that has helped to build me back up.

It's certainly never boring here. :)

This farm is level 17 and reached 1,000,000 ccs today. It does not have all of the land and just cleared the meadow today after having 1,000,000 ccs.

    @alexis2112

I believe Aluntino mentioned the importance of having a base. This farm has no base, yet, but the base allows one to engage in trades in the market. Without the base, one is dependent on growing and producing only for ccs. Why not have the choice?

The farmer_broke farm goes to exactly -0- many times on purpose. Rest assured it has a base it is working from. The base may not be seen in the ccs tally but most often is contained in the listings awaiting sale. Spending into whatever base one sets can take a little reasoning.

Quests? Just because one can do them does not mean that one should. In terms of ccs, the item(s) given up can be very very expensive and often times when a farmer has the least.

Hi, bunny_broke. This really resonated with me:

Quests? Just because one can do them does not mean that one should. In terms of ccs, the item(s) given up can be very very expensive and often times when a farmer has the least.

Call me a slow learner, but after 5 months I'm slowly coming to that same conclusion. It will take a lot of hard work and self-discipline, but I'm determined to build a base of ccs, and then a base in inventory.

Then I will have lots of choices. :)

Congratulations on reaching a million ccs with a level 17 farm!! :D

Now level 18 and just under 850,000 ccs. The only quest I am doing now is the time quest requiring eggs and only because a kind friend sent an egg tree. The farm is playing the chicken, rabbit, and angora markets.

There is a trade off between accumulating ccs and quests/events. Quests and event are normally quite costly. Sure, stars are needed to acquire more land. No hurry, and I will do them by expense rather than just because I can complete them.

I am faced with the same self-discipline concerns. The more knowledge of the game one has, the efficient decisions are made easily.

Thanks, level 17 is the earliest I have been able to get a farm to 1,000,000 .
